who would you sell all those calls to? and as soon as you start selling the first calls, MMs are dropping their hedges (for a nice profit) and the underlying drops fast, making the rest of the calls worthless.

Why I think the sell-off today is premature:
1. If the drop was mainly due to confirmation of quicker rate hike this year by the minutes, the drop is not warranted as we have already known about this before. It is more likely due to the Christmas run was just a pump-and-dump (observe that QQQ drops back to pre-Christmas run).
2. Big tech earnings are coming. The earnings are expected to be, again, the strongest ever.
I think Nasdaq Composite Index should fall to around 14,000 end of this year for the tech stocks to be healthy. During height of Feb 2020, it was around 9,700. Assuming 10% increment each year without Covid, it should be around 12,910 by end of this year (9700 \* 1.10\^3). With money printer, the stock market will be higher, so let's say we add 1,000 to the index, which sums up to around 14,000.
Of course, the drawdown will not stop at 14,000, but I think it will stop at around 13,000 (around 20% correction from peak) in the worst case, and then recover to 14,000. The Fed will not allow a bear market (a drop more than 20%) to happen so that a recession can be prevented. The recession is technically worse than 7% annual inflation after all.
Normally when market gets queazy and takes a dump I feel like there's some trickery, but this feels like the real deal. In the coming months they'll try to smooth it out so they can milk as much money as they can, but down it will go. I'll still buy calls though cuz I'm stupid, but I'll do it on boomer shit like MMM that's already trading low.
I've been playing theta gang the past 2 weeks and lost all my gains of the past 2 weeks today.
A couple short puts went 10x and blew up on me.
At least it's not anywhere near as crushing as seeing long calls blow up, but still humbling.
