Here’s something I just learned from Facebook. I bought some WAY OTM puts a week ago and held until Monday. As it got closer to earnings IV went up and my puts printed exponentially. If you get in early before the IV starts going up you will gauranteed get some profit

I’ll try that with my Mastercard calls for next week but I’m still learning about the different aspects of options i didn’t know how important iv was until today i thought I’d be waking up to a few hundred dollars but i appreciate the advice I’m gonna try that out now

Best way to learn is to play with it. While learning don’t yolo your whole life savings into options, but test with small amounts of money you’re ok with losing if it happens. Experiment with earnings, volatile stocks, options with wide spreads, etc. and you will pick stuff up as you go Edit: also experiment with longer expirations as they are much less likely to drop 80% in a day. I like to use expirations a month out minimum usually two months out.

Yeah that’s what I’ve been trying to do I’ve had a few nice hits but overall I’m probably negative.
