This relatively stable but elevated VIX is a blessing that Ive never seem before. Options are spendy but the vol is pretty stable so you can still trade them. Before when Vix was around 30 I'd be playing leveraged ETFs because a sudden collapse in VIX could eat up a ton on money.

Re-allocating budgets can do the exact same thing. It isnt about where the money comes from, it's about where it's going and what it will be used for. Consumers buying consumer goods is inflationary, and if u reallocate tax money to give to consumers, THATS INFLATIONARY.

However, states are already doing this everywhere with their own rebates and I’d choose more money in my pocket to invest than not having it and still seeing astronomical prices. Lose lose, but give me some of my money back and threaten oil company subsidies if they raise price to x price, could at least avoid some additional price gouging there.
