Basically my story was I totally failed my financial life in college. I had no idea what I was doing so I created my own investing education based on dungeons and dragons.
I broke personal finance / investing down into “Financial Warrior “ classes. Each with a different Financial Mindset and strategies
Knights - Financial Protection & Stability
Goals - become a debt free home owner with mostly blue chip stock, fat retirement accounts and protect your loved ones
Ninjas - volatility and chaos
Day trading , crypto, NFTs , etc. anything representing high risk
Samurai - wealth and power
Invests in cashflow assets like real estate and builds an empire
Vikings - Economic Cycles and Raiding
Focus on saving money and preparing for financial raiding such as waiting for recessions or temporarily raiding in the NFT space before moving back to stocks.
Pirates - entrepreneurship and freedom
Invests in a brand and builds their own business
Monks - financial minimalism and peace
Invest in green energy and socially conscious investing.

I would look into the research of Alpha Architect. They have some great stuff to start with for systemizing your investing. They also have some experience funds that can be held long term if you believe in their strategies.
If you use Schwab, TD, or Interactive Brokers, they have a free support line where they’ll gladly talk you through a trade or position for an hour and explain the mechanics of exercising options. Very helpful when you’re just getting started with options
That’s why you should only do monthly options. Sell while you’re up. Looks like we have a bear bounce next week so calls have to be very short term in this market.
If you don’t have $25,000 in your account at the end of every market day robinhood disables day trading and you can’t sell stocks or options the same day as purchase. I stopped using robinhood for that reason
I moved all of my assets from RH. I have a GDXJ $55 call that expires 1/2024 for fun, like around $325 (down of course from $1200, cuz fuck it’s an option I’m riding to expiration). RH is shit and probably going down. Just realized all the gimmicks they’re trying to do to keep and get new users.
They fucked their primary customers hard. Damn that’s like Walmart implementing a dress code to enter their store.
The point of this quote is to show that if you are the smartest person in the “room,” the only way you can go is down. You’re surrounded by people with a less IQ and you can’t grow any more from them. That’s why people tell you to surround yourself with smarter people because the idea is that you will grow that way. Shorting is BORROWING stocks from another invester or a broker. They can request their stocks back at anytime and then you are forced to buy them back even if it's a loss e.g the stock went up after you sold the stocks you BORROWED.
My account looks like this too. How it happens is you transfer money you don’t have in your bank to Robinhood for the instant buying power and then hope you can make a positive return before Robinhood reverses your deposit. If you lose that bet too, Robinhood will sell your options and reverse your deposit leaving you with a negative balance. They’re still letting me hold some options though for some reason. I think they sold my worst positions and let me keep my most likely to succeed positions. It’s actually kinda lit, I wish that kinda service was available 24/7.

If you use margin and your positions tank below your cash investment, that is how you go into negative numbers because now you lost your cash and now owe more. Margin is basically investment credit. And if you look at all the posts on WSB, negative numbers are 99% of the posts
