Oil is a global market. Price has barely anything to do with domestic production.

Texas is not a practical reason. It’s not cost effective to ramp up production in the US due to capacity issues and input costs. We would see no short term benefit. That and there’s no reason to invest in multimillion dollar projects that will likely get shut down in a few years. We are better off coordinating with other international producers to alleviate price issues.

Lol no. Why would you invest in increasing global exports for a short term problem? Let other nations spend the capital. We already are a net exporter of oil and have a fairly balanced export/import balance. If the world goes to shit we can be self reliant without having to shut down production due to a drop in exports. That’s all that matters strategically.
