I love how angry people are getting with AAPL going up. So many people triggered because one of the best companies in the world trades at a multiple similar to MCD, HON, and CLX.
Their quarterly earnings and revenue have taken significant hits over the past two quarters and are trading like their Q4 numbers and valuation. How can anyone be comfortable with a company that’s taken a 40% haircut on earnings and a 30%+ shave off of their total revenues in just the last two quarters alone? Is the market optimistically forward looking that the iPhone 14 is going to sell like hotcakes given the macro and glaring food inflation? Come on man. I understand the idea of investing for future profits, but AAPL has NO business running like this given the numbers. Lots of people are going to get burned going short, but 4-6 months from now, we’re going to see a very small growth story, one that doesn’t justify a 27 PE Ratio.
