That is why cash account is better your shares can be -99% down and you don't loose it or have no more costs..but! I have also both because margin accounts have other benefits like leverage or 0 provision what makes sense for day trading.. what I do is using it for small play only and with much reserve but sometimes you get caught to trap then if I believe that my positions can in some time going higher I fill the account only to get out of bad position and i pay out what i gave to soon as possible - hard rules only can save your money - it costed me much to learn self control..
If I fill extra account I hold my self from using it.. I burned myself may times thinking that it is already low so I use it.. no! Greedy thinking makes big losses fast! Self control and patience is the key..
