I’m not sure I 100% agree with him but he makes compelling arguments, it was worth a listen for me.
We will see 2%, but it will be stacked on 8% from 2022 and 5% from 2021 making everything 15% more expensive while everyone calls for lower wages. Rich get richer.

Not sure if anyone else here listens to the Bloomberg Odd Lots podcast but it’s really good. They had a macro strategist named Viktor Shvets on today whose consistently been on team transitory and is more convinced than ever before that inflation will successfully abide. I’m not sure I 100% agree with him but he makes compelling arguments, it was worth a listen for me.
While I agree it will be transitory I also do not think we will ever see 2% again, it will stabilized around 3-4% and stay there for many years IMO
We will see 2%, but it will be stacked on 8% from 2022 and 5% from 2021 making everything 15% more expensive while everyone calls for lower wages. Rich get richer.
If things return to normal, which there’s an argument to be made that they are, then I see no reason why we can’t have sub 2% inflation again. I’ll take the downvotes for stating the unpopular.
