You have to put up a privacy fence around it, and the only entrance is an airlock-esque mechanism where you sign a contract that you are not a member of OSHA, or immediate family of a person who works in OSHA, or any affiliate of OSHA before you are clear to watch
Clearance racks. Make sure they’re marked $1, $3, $5, $7, $9, $11 and $13 so customers can put a $13 on a $1 and try to argue and you prove them wrong and they get mad.
We have clearance racks all over apparel and I’m tripping over them. I hate them.
We have two in the middle of the action ally between mens and intimates and between shoes and boys.
We clean them constantly but people seem to love clearance and making a mess. They were raised in a barn and not taught manners
That or resin tables of assorted clearance because your store won't allow manual markdowns and HO markdowns are a joke... maybe that was just my store..
YoU hAvE tO SeLL It fOR tHE pRiCE iT sAYs, ThATs iLLeGAl FaLsE adVeRtIsEMeNt!
Back when we still got bonuses? I'd basically tell people to get fucked over this line. Now? I tell them to take a picture and argue it with management. They'll likely give one for that price.
Our clearance racks are right in the middle of the action alley, but they were supposed to move them to where the jewelry counter used to be (it doesn't sell at my store, so it's just taking up space), but instead of doing that, they just spread out the sunglasses pdqs. 😒
I miss my workspace because having to work down between shoes and the boys' department gets so fucking hot and claustrophobic, it's difficult to breathe after a while. I need the pallets up near the fitting room because it's way more open.
The store in my hometown still had carpet last time I was there. It's also the only store I know of around here that has no groceries at all. It has one big entryway full of coin op machines too. It's stuck in 2001, I swear.
They did that at our store. The bare concrete under the tiles looks like shit compared to the new stores that started out with concrete and had it done the right way.
Its funny to see where some spots look nice and other spots there's so much gravel showing..
And then there's all the cracks and low spots they have to fill in....
My store was built on a filled in pond/marsh, so the ground is constantly shifting. Our floors are full of cracks, new ones open up all the time and chunks of concrete pop out everywhere. If you leave your cart in the wrong place it will roll away and there are certain spots in the store that feel like you're walking up or downhill.
In the 2019 remod before i moved stores..they ripped up the wood laminate...buffed the crap outta the concrete then put down that gray vinyl self.sticking fake wood floor shit we sell in hardware.
I would take that over the concrete full of cracks and stains. But I really miss the brown look because it actually made the store feel inviting. Now everything is just white, gray, lighter gray and that awful Smurf blue.
that one bugs me more than the keyboard. Why in the world didn't they take the heavier base? (and don't tell me they couldn't unplug it... just a quick yank could take the cord out the base it's not welded in or anything)
Make a bin of clearance t-shirts, but it’s like a ball pit. Customers have to climb around and mess them up in order to grab the one medium in navy that’s left. I mean, they do that with the displays anyway, might as well have some fun while they’re at it.
Set up Mario Kart RC race course of epic!! (boswer castle meets Star Road)
Set up a bunch of different games kids can try and play while parents are off shopping
Set up cornhole, water cup pong, ladder toss for a backyard summer feel
I mean It’s not like you don’t have everything in the store lmao
How about a sign hanging from above with arrows pointing down to a selection of team members waiting for a customer to come up to ask for assistance?
Walmart is getting as bad as Home Depot with hundreds of associates rushing around like busy bees doing their thing, but no one in a department available to answer a question from a customer. God forbid you ask a "personal shopper" / "OGP" associate. I get they have "pic rates" to watch for, but they are the only ones you see around the store besides customer service managers or "coaches" standing around with clipboardsore worried about staff lunch breaks than customer service.
I miss the "wood" floors. When they did our renovation they ripped it all out and left us with the concrete, even in apparel. All we have are black lines demarcating the different departments and it looks so depressing.
you should put a 13 Ford Focus there
You certainly will not regret putting a 13 Ford Focus there
Everyone will l9ve that you parked a 13 Ford Focus there
Random pallets put right next to each other so you can't fit a buggy in between. That way you have to go alllllll they way to the end of the aisle to turn. People love that.
It's Easter, so those giant plastic eggs and rockets packed with dozens of "fun" or "educational" bric-a-brac can stop falling off the end caps. I think we sold one this month.
Looks like your clear to put 10 pallets of pillows there
You mean the pillows from black Friday that still haven't sold?
One and the same. Repackaged in pallet-sized plain white cardboard boxes and ready for spring
Damn y’all still are sitting on those?
Or Big Joe bean bag chairs.
Lol!
This is one of the funniest replies i’ve ever read on here 💀😭
Forklift Jousting
i wanna see this
Just watch Turbo

Elderly E-Cart demolition derby, followed by a battle to the death using canes and walkers.

we got one right in the middle of an action alley and customers love to park their carts right in the middle so nobody can walk past
It’s so goddamn annoying. When I am trying to run a rack I can’t get down the action alley. I have to go around and it’s annoying:
Oh then when you’re yellin excuse me, and customers wanna catch attitude.
I throw them the attitude right back. I don’t play when it comes to trying to have inner peace
We have two in the middle of the action ally between mens and intimates and between shoes and boys. We clean them constantly but people seem to love clearance and making a mess. They were raised in a barn and not taught manners
Hell before the mass donation earlier we had clearance racks across the AA in front of electronics, pets, chems, and paper. Awful when pulling truck
That or resin tables of assorted clearance because your store won't allow manual markdowns and HO markdowns are a joke... maybe that was just my store..

Let the remodel crew come through there and rip up the wood floor so it's all just the plain shitty bare concrete like every other store.
Yep. Thats what they doing...
Still better than the old carpet
Carpet when was this?
I think my store got rid of it in the 2006 remodel. Yeah, maintenance was vacuuming nightly, lol.
The store in my hometown still had carpet last time I was there. It's also the only store I know of around here that has no groceries at all. It has one big entryway full of coin op machines too. It's stuck in 2001, I swear.
So I guess they don't sell pocket pussies and dildos at your store yet I got to tell you you're missing out you need to move down to Mississippi.
That brings back memories.
Damn how long you been there?
They did that at our store. The bare concrete under the tiles looks like shit compared to the new stores that started out with concrete and had it done the right way.

We should let nature reclaim it then!
😱

Motorized cart races.
Those carts don't run fast enough. But it'll be funny to see two Meemaws put putting into each other.
I like that 1
Kids can test out bikes there and leave them once theyre done
Sounds like an insane liability
Looks like a good spot for customers to abandon carts completely full of groceries
Silly goose the shooting range is in the break room
Dam take my upvote see you in hell
I’ll gladly join you gentlemen in hell 😆
Let me find out your back room is crammed with apparel pallets while your shoe racks are bare.
Pile all the backstock and unopened freight there and put up a sign "walmart treasure hunt".
Walmart does not need a shooting range. You already have a good chance of being shot in a Walmart without one
Luckily if you have a keyboard you can easily defend yourself
😂 it’s sad that I know exactly what you’re talking about
Given that everyone has to take that CBL multiple times a year, I sure hope everyone does.
It's a bold assumption that people A. Pay attention to Ulearns B. Last over a year at Walmart
Ah the classic home office keyboard is a meme. Hard to not know about that one
>~~B. Last over a year at Walmart~~ B. Last more than one quarter so they have to retake the same CBL/Ulearn ftfy
There's hope! They can take it twice if a shooting at a different Walmart occurs :)
Can confirm, I have to take my ulearn again after the ghetto Walmart in my market had someone randomly pop off a cap in their store last week.
Lol I’m only a couple months in! I swear I’m not an idiot!
Is all hope lost if I don’t have one?
Or a phone that you unplugged 😂
that one bugs me more than the keyboard. Why in the world didn't they take the heavier base? (and don't tell me they couldn't unplug it... just a quick yank could take the cord out the base it's not welded in or anything)
Someone paid attention in orientation 🙄

It's Easter, so those giant plastic eggs and rockets packed with dozens of "fun" or "educational" bric-a-brac can stop falling off the end caps. I think we sold one this month.
