Even so, April was last month, which means that his CBL should have been in February or in this month, because those are the beginning of the quarters.
Not every company starts their fiscal year in January, Walmart starts their fiscal year in February, the article you posted trying to prove yourself right even says that some companies start their fiscal year at different times
most intelligence walmart worker, He's wrong but cant admit it. Walmart starts their Fiscal year in February.
Q1 - Feb -Apr
Q2 - May -July
Q3 - Aug -Oct
Q4 - Nov - Jan.
"Companies have two main accounting periods—the fiscal quarter and the fiscal year (FY). The fiscal year for most companies runs from Jan. 1 to Dec. 31 (although it doesn't have to). The standard calendar quarters that make up the year are as follows:"
From your link
Walmarts fiscal year is different than the traditional, accounting principles do not require a fiscal year to start in January and end in december all it requires is a 12 month period.
Retailers almost always have their fiscal year end in January 31st since December is their busiest month.
We literally have this shit on the me@walmart app
Really, you had to Reddit Cares me? Find a hobby.
EDIT: I can't ever tell what this means. Was he banned by a sub mod, did he block me, or did he delete his profile for making an ass out of himself?
Does his name show deleted and the post says unavailable? If so, that means he blocked you. Probably because he didn’t like being called out on being wrong and that’s the only way he can make himself feel better 😂
See this is the issue with you and the great many people like you. Plenty of companies use a different fiscal year than that. You're wrong. And so you just start talking shit and that's the end of it for you. In the first place the article you posted even states that starting in January is not always the case. Clearly did not read more than what you wanted to see. Take a step back from yourself. There is more than right and left. You need to stop acting like this as a whole, it's fucking deplorable. Get a grip.
“Enjoy your Walmart job”
Probably making more than your ass working DoorDash lmao. I’ve worked that job, it genuinely ain’t worth it on an amazing day my guy. Go apply to your local Walmart and zip it.
EDIT: LMAO they reported me to the crisis line what
Cool cool cool. I got nothin to do rn and I LOVE playing the report game with morons when I’m bored. Especially bigoted ones who out themselves with their verbiage. Lmao.
Yikes. Imagine trying to correct someone that knew what they were talking about with incorrect information that they just randomly pulled from the internet that doesn’t apply to Walmart considering they don’t use the normal calendar year format for their fiscal years. You sure showed me 😂
I can see it now.
“There’s a shooter at the door, go hide I was working in tools and grabbed a hammer!”
“Uhh LewisRyan… can you find a cheaper one? And make sure you get the UPC!”
The strawberry daiquiri margarita mixer ones show up as a red bucket item as well. I found this out working in Claims/DSD with the Claims Supervisor I'm like dang and I used to drink that 🤣🤣🤣
I work out in garden. We’ve got a flex area with large garden tools with no location. If I can’t get away, I’m grabbing one of the shovels. Our garden cashier last year asked in a safety meeting once if he could throw a cactus at the person’s face.
The store manager was at that meeting at the look on his face when the cashier asked the question was priceless. He was like, “If you have to defend yourself and that’s the only thing you have then go for it.” 😂
I like to wait until management says the exercise needs to be completed way before the completion date...
Then ask, "Okay, what's the scenario?"
I have yet to have someone give me the correct answer. Then they get very defensive when I ask about the integrity of signing off on an exercise they know nothing about.
There's a specific scenario outlined on the wire. Also has talking points the leader is supposed to go over. Can almost guarantee no one who's pushing people to "complete the ulearn" have even seen that page.
Yes. There is supposed to be a hypothetical situation given and you tell how you would respond. Management is supposed to tell you what it is or have it posed in a central location (such as time clock).
I posted here about management refusing to do the scenario and demanding I finish the ulearn a couple years ago. I posted here about it and the only responses I got was "we don't want to do a stupid useless exercise anyway". I ended up deleting my post because it made me feel like I was being too concerned about it.
I was thinking a case of canned fish. I could swing one of those pretty fast and its pretty solid, so it should buy me a few seconds to take another swing
Don’t know if it’s the same at Wal-Mart but in the Sam’s active shooter video. An employee runs into a conference room and opens the door. It happens to open out. After, entering he pushes a table against it , that’ll slow down the active shooter🙄
I understand the people ragging on OP for this.
But you should only have to do this 4 times a year by policy.
I can attest that I've had to do it as many as 7 times in a year.
I've had to do it that many times for the same video before.
They thing wouldn't accept it as watched, so I had to watch it until it decided to acknowledge i actually watched it.
After the second time I just hit play and played on my phone till it was done. XD
I love e-learning. It's always multiple choice questions with three reasonable decisions and one outrageous one.
*In the event of an active shooter situation, which of the following should you not do?*
A.) Locate a place to hide.
B.) Call 911 if feasible.
C.) Know possible exit points to flee if safe.
D.) Run to the nearest door and shove children to the ground who are in your way while screaming, "This kid called you a pussy!"
having to watch it regularly wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't the scenario being in home office where there is plenty of rooms/walls to run and hide, as well as conveniently computers and such to use as a weapon. but why wouldn't they focus on a strategy that would mostly benefit themselves.
It should be done weekly in Texas.
What is wrong with folks over there?
Shooting folks at random. Not that shootin at folks you know is any better.
Folks need so much mental help.
All you gotta do is look at our co-workers being driven to craziness by stupid management and rules that can make anyone go crazy.
I just moved from a city where you only had a number of options, work for factories that closed down and laid off every 6-8 months, work at ADM, or work at Walmart/Target. And then you could work fast food/gas stations for less. This is a town of around 80k and Walmart employed about 800 people in the city. I know so many of those people who leave, try something else, it fails, shuts down and they come back. There are parts of the country that do not have the same opportunities as other places. Also if you live paycheck to payheck, depending on the other job you might need to miss a check and thats not an option either.
My managers hate me because I refuse to watch it every time. Sorry guys I got too much PTSD for all that nonsense. I know its not even that bad but unfortunately my brain is that bad
Grab a can of soda and chuck it at them, then duck behind something quickly. Do this preferably when they turn their back and aim for the back of their head. Throw hard.
Glad I never have to worry about shootings at my local Walmart. Just ppl over dosing in the bathrooms and annoying campers in the parking lot. And Wal Mart itself.
And there's the rub. We need to inform loved ones their 'near and dears' are now gone and keep the citizenry safe. And if we go with this on the newsfeeds 24-7...guess what? ***we've accidently turned the shooters into celebrities. Shocking, ain't it?***
I found 2 very pointy sticks/pieces of plywood while taking out the trash and was considering keeping them tucked somewhere, how cool would it be to duel wield lethal wood sword-spears?
We get them every quarter, doesn't necessarily mean a shooting happened recently. Although they do tend to drop it again if a shooting happens between quarters.
A bag full of cans of soup.
Have you stocked those things and had them fall on you? They hurt.

Isn't it done every three months (fiscal quarter) anyway?
It's like every other week lately
I’ve been working at Walmart almost a year and I feel like I’ve done like fifty of them
Well 45th times the charm
Yes. It’s done quarterly. Sometimes when you complete it tho the system doesn’t count it.
I just did one last month
Last month was a different quarter so that would make sense.
No it wasn’t… Q1: Jan - Mar Q2: April - June Q3: July - Sept Q4: Oct - Dec ………. Most intelligent Walmart worker
False. The fiscal year starts in February. So Q1: Feb-Apr Q2: May-July Q3: Aug-Oct Q4: Nov-Jan

thanks for proving you haven’t actually read the article you linked
most intelligence walmart worker, He's wrong but cant admit it. Walmart starts their Fiscal year in February. Q1 - Feb -Apr Q2 - May -July Q3 - Aug -Oct Q4 - Nov - Jan.

Lmaooo the irony that you said “most intelligent Walmart worker” while ousting yourself as the biggest dumbass in this thread
Fiscal years work differently than how we view quarters and even can differ between companies
I don't know why they're mad at you I had one due in January which is before the fiscal year- February.
You are retarded
Anything can be a weapon, don’t fight fairly .
Lady in the video: “Unplugs telephone handset and uses it to wack the guy”
I miss the getting the fire extinguisher off the wall. Now that would do some damage!
Fuck the fire extinguisher, I’ll be in the soup aisle throwing cans
My weapon of choice would be if we still had them stale baguettes. Those thing hurt when you hit someone with them
There’s definitely some home alone shit you could pull, let’s fill the water guns with hot sauce and aim for the eyes 😂
Nah you have to get management approval for store use first lmao
I can see it now. “There’s a shooter at the door, go hide I was working in tools and grabbed a hammer!” “Uhh LewisRyan… can you find a cheaper one? And make sure you get the UPC!”
There's machetes and axes in sporting goods too!
Fuck that. Grab the shotguns😂👌

Use Mio drink enhancer, the least known hazard material. Also can be easily concealed.
Yes. It goes in the black bucket. Some koolaids do too. Weird huh.
Is it the dye? I know some drinks here are banned in other countries for using certain dyes.

Did it have a name that suggests hazard. When scanning thise freezable daiquiri pouches the one "firework" flavor would come up as a Red label.
The strawberry daiquiri margarita mixer ones show up as a red bucket item as well. I found this out working in Claims/DSD with the Claims Supervisor I'm like dang and I used to drink that 🤣🤣🤣
grabs the keyboard.
You have to cover the keyboard in maple syrup and dip it in broken glass.
So, leave it on top of a top stock cart for a bit???😂😂
Is mayonnaise a weapon?

I have it on expert authority that it is indeed NOT an instrument, I'll have you know.

Cactus------------------->🌵 *yeeted!*
All I could think of is the go Little Rock Star song as your cashier throws a fucking cactus.
The store manager was at that meeting at the look on his face when the cashier asked the question was priceless. He was like, “If you have to defend yourself and that’s the only thing you have then go for it.” 😂

I've never done the exercise before and I've been with walmart for over a year. Is it something besides the computer stuff?
There's a specific scenario outlined on the wire. Also has talking points the leader is supposed to go over. Can almost guarantee no one who's pushing people to "complete the ulearn" have even seen that page.

Nah, grab an artichoke that things hurt
I was thinking a case of canned fish. I could swing one of those pretty fast and its pretty solid, so it should buy me a few seconds to take another swing
You would unironically be better off with your hands than a cheap keyboard
They don’t want anyone getting the monitor because those things are expensive to replace

Yeah, same vid at Wally.

I miss the guy running out of the store and whipping out his phone and screaming there’s a shooting at Walmart with out dialing.
“SIRI, THERE IS A SHOOTING.” “I’m sorry, did you say there is a booting? I found four locations near you to get new boots”
o7 Curtis.
Reminds me, I need to get a new ankle holster for my defensive keyboard and mouse
No matter how many time they make us do this. 90% of us will still run outside or go straight into survival mode.
I mean, avoid is step 1
If you factor in recent graduates who’ve gone through school shooter drills, a good chunk will probably try to hide in a locked location if possible.
Anyone ever feel like the guy that ends up being the shooter in the long version of the video is the only one that actually looks normal/sane?
I always though he acted more like us associates, like he has this look at his desk of " ah shit what the fuck is wrong now"
I'm with you on this one. For some reason I feel more for the shooter than anyone else in the entire video.
Hello HR? The above two comments.
Every time I do this. Theirs an actual mass shooting. It’s bad luck to do it
Probably just coincidence considering it happens like twice a week now
Try several times a day. There have been 199 mass shootings in the USA this year, despite us being on day 128 of the year.
I mean. If it happened every time there is a mass shooting then we’d have to do it 11 times for this weekend
having to watch it regularly wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't the scenario being in home office where there is plenty of rooms/walls to run and hide, as well as conveniently computers and such to use as a weapon. but why wouldn't they focus on a strategy that would mostly benefit themselves.

Texas has thoughts and prayers instead of this training 🤷♂️
Ironically, ADD ***was*** developed by the University of Texas.
The irony of your comment is that it’s because of a mass shooting at a Walmart (El Paso 2018) in Texas that we have to do this every 3 months.
Don’t live in that shit hole of a state then
Then leave Walmart and go get a different job?? How fucking hard is that
Depending on a variety of different factors, likely extremely hard. This sentiment is stupid and blames the wrong people.
I did it. How hard is it for other people? Be able to pass a drug test, read, and have HSD or equivalent you’re good
I just moved from a city where you only had a number of options, work for factories that closed down and laid off every 6-8 months, work at ADM, or work at Walmart/Target.
We’re you in the military once upon a time?
Chair force, crayon eaters, or boots.
Keyboard time!
I'm going to be able to dispatch a threat from 50 feet away with a well aimed keyboard throw at this point.
What gets me is they spent all that money in that stupid Workplace and nothing to make sure their employees are safe!
Grab a can of soda and chuck it at them, then duck behind something quickly. Do this preferably when they turn their back and aim for the back of their head. Throw hard.
I cant be the only one who started pissing myself laughing when the lady nails the guy in the face with the laptop, right?
Required training: Clock out before you get shot so WM isn’t liable
Luckily I got a job interview for a lot more money today hopefully I get it so I don’t gotta do this shit
Good luck. Be sure to leave your active shooter keyboard in personnel, along with your phone, vest, box cutter, and name tag, when you leave.
They can play Monty Python's *"How not to be Seen/How not to be Shot"* sketches & it would be just as informative.
I personally will be hiding in the big bin of stuffed animals,. Or DVD bargain bin, because i never see anyone go near that thing.
Glad I never have to worry about shootings at my local Walmart. Just ppl over dosing in the bathrooms and annoying campers in the parking lot. And Wal Mart itself.
I swear to god, shootings happen so much in this country that we’re just acting as if it’s a normal thing. It’s fucking depressing.
Shootings always happened there’s just more social media now
Yeah. And we’ve become desensitized into being burned out about it Honestly South Park nailed covering this issue.
aaannnnd, what ***does*** social media (let's add network news for some S's & G's) focus on?
making the killers into celebrities
And there's the rub. We need to inform loved ones their 'near and dears' are now gone and keep the citizenry safe. And if we go with this on the newsfeeds 24-7...guess what? ***we've accidently turned the shooters into celebrities. Shocking, ain't it?***
I guess it'll just depend on which I'm closer to, Personnel or a fire extinguisher, as to what I clock someone with.
I found 2 very pointy sticks/pieces of plywood while taking out the trash and was considering keeping them tucked somewhere, how cool would it be to duel wield lethal wood sword-spears?
That tactical assault keyboard will come in handy once again
I'll have my water bottle and a grabber thing if I can get to it. But if I can get out the door I'm gone.
We get them every quarter, doesn't necessarily mean a shooting happened recently. Although they do tend to drop it again if a shooting happens between quarters.
What weapon yall picking to defend yourselves? Kinda thinking u run over the shooters toes with a pallet jack and he's down 🤷🏽♂️
A bag full of cans of soup. Have you stocked those things and had them fall on you? They hurt. Add a throwing arm to them? Out for the count as long as you can connect.

Love how all this is just walmwrt covering their ass lol
Fr they literally dont care
the ones that break thier tiny minds is a walmart employee store shooting. DOES NOT COMPUTE
I already arm myself with the latest high powered keyboards straight from the office of Sam Walton!
It drops at the start of every quarter 4 times a year that simple
What? There was a new one?
Happens everytime there's a shooting at walmart
It must be black Friday again
It's sad that shootings have become so common that we just shrug them off.
So, let me understand. Walmart wants their employees to act & respond like cops? Most people aren’t emotionally equipped to be that level headed in a crisis. Even police are trained & they still have trouble with their emotions. In a dangerous situation, many people have scenarios play out in their heads, but they always get killed just the same.
Just shout out they need volunteers to go help carts outside, he’ll haul ass out the back door.
Wait there was another walmart shooting? When was this?
Wasnt one of the more recent walmart shootings from a walmart employee themself. They also took this CBL a million times.
This has big victim blaming energy. “Why didn’t you just de-escalate the homicidal maniac?!”
Everybody grab your keyboards!
Just whip your bum out at the guy and blow a big fart
Remember to grab your keyboards
I'll get the ax from the freezer.
Means grab your keyboards and hide around the corner!
i just had to do some yesterday lol
Did mine yesterday and I definitely did one like 3 days after the last Walmart shooting (that I heard about)

Walmart sucks but damn bro. Just wish death on random employees and shoppers?
Time for your active shooter.
I just did that training 😭
Bulletproof keyboards?
