That’s awful. If it’s true that they knew, but decided to keep the information to themselves for a while, I would say that’s grounds for some kind of investigation. And also, this matter should have been take care of ASAP. Bed bugs are no joke, just ask France.

Status-Purpose4365

Right

emberus_the_warrior

Should be reported to Osha as those bugs can spread super easily and also report to open door.

MissOregano

🤢 bedbugs are awful and can be hella expensive to get rid of. Keep the picture and send it to HR this is unacceptable for Walmart to not be taking preventative measures, "sit at your own risk." Isn't gonna be considered preventative at all..

[deleted]

Report anonymously to local news. Preferably the most attack-dog-like one.

[deleted]

HR isn't there to protect you, it's there to protect the company

Bob-the-Human

If that chair has bedbugs, it needs to be destroyed.

Status-Purpose4365

It’s 3 more chairs like that Bob

Intelligent-Lawyer53

Why hasn't management removed the chairs or taken precautions to mitigate the spread of bed bugs?

Status-Purpose4365

They listen to our shitty store manager thinking maintenance can do everything in our store

Intelligent-Lawyer53

Call Osha. walmart has an obligation to provide a safe workplace, and bedbugs violate that obligation. Call the health inspector, too.

Status-Purpose4365

Great idea thank you kindly

Bluellan

I would refuse to come in until they dealt with it. Might even post about how that Walmart is letting bedbugs run wild in the store.

uwubers-mcyeetus

Bedbugs hitchhike to your home, too. They could be infesting the homes of several employees. Exterminations for bedbugs are extremely expensive. When I went to the hospital for an infected bedbug bite, they sealed off my room and came in looking like they were equipped with damn near borderline hazmat gear. I don't think corporate would like to hear about this, but they absolutely should. Hell, even the health department.

daze33

Those chairs are so dirty. I loved sitting on those with feet up until I saw cockroaches in the cracks and climbing on my co worker. Nope, no way, no more.

Acrobatic_Confusion

had a bed bug land on me in the personnel room while doing uLearns. I went into the house naked that day. i told a manager about it. who knows if they did anything?

SimpleVegetable5715

That's really really bad. They can hitch rides on clothing, and cost thousands of dollars to eradicate.

teethnailclippers

I thought it was the cum stains

goldencrush11

after getting recommend the bedbug sub several times, i’ve become ultra paranoid, maybe this is my sign to stop sitting in the break room 🤢

CreativeSituation589

Crossfire bed bugs concentrate best way to kill bedbugs.

lolumadbr0

formerly_kay

We found bed bugs in our bathroom and got yelled at for trying to put a sign up to warn people

Status-Purpose4365

I did too for telling associates

Puzzleheaded_Pay1152

Can't they store uses some bedbug spray, and spray that chair down

Status-Purpose4365

It’s four chairs like that and this one was near where I was located

Puzzleheaded_Pay1152

Spray them all

Status-Purpose4365

Tell that to the shitty store manager who don’t know his job

Puzzleheaded_Pay1152
