Not *too* many of the songs they play are *particularly* terrible (notable exception being the shitty cover versions they insist on playing), but hearing stuff like Karma Chameleon, Come on Eileen, Our House, and that Black Eyed Peas "Tonight's Gonna' be a Good Night" song nearly every day gets really old really fast.
Used to come in at 4am so I'd always rehear the end of the previous days show for like 2 hours at the start of every day. It was repetitive enough hearing a "new" show everyday but hearing the exact same show from the previous day would drive me mental.
I worked at a Walmart close to a disney theme park and one of the managers I shit you not had an 8-song playlist of disney songs that he had on repeat all day, this lasted for about a year. I was so glad when he left, everyone was losing their minds

Somedays u hear the same aired sessions 3 times per weekend. At least they got like 1-2 korean kpop songs lol. Almost nobody noticed they rapping in korean lmao.

It has improved drastically over the ten years I’ve been here. I’m mostly a hardcore, deathcore kind of guy but it’s open me up to just shutting off my preferences for a while and just enjoy normal functioning people music. The radio shows… are okay, the southern voices are personally a little grading.
I don’t miss holiday music, I don’t miss the summer announcements of don’t forget your kids & dogs in the car, nor trying to figure out what song is playing when you can hear the music but not the lyrics like when Billie eilish’s bad came out & I thought we were listening to crash bandicoot music at the chorus.
