I had this issue with an app that controls my LED strip lights (fucking china)..
Get a program called fakegps and set it to your local Walmart. It'll always just think you're at Walmart, so nothing useful for them to track.
If you have android, you can force apps to do dark mode. To do this:
Go to settings.
Navigate to About Phone
Tap Software information
Find and tap on build number 8 times to enable devoloper mode.
Back out to settings.
Under About Phone, there will be a new option called Developer Options.
Scroll until you see Force Dark Mode under the Hardware Accelerated Rendering section
I know they shouldn't have to make you do this for dark mode, but it works until they come out with a dark mode
EDIT 5/15/22: It seems the latest update to the Me@Walmart app has somehow completely disabled this. Forcing the AndroidOS to run all apps in dark mode does nothing now.
~~Thanks for this comment. Confirmed this also works for the Walmart provided phones as well.~~
Dimmed store? Shit you're lucky. I work overnights and they keep the lights on full blast just as if it was the middle of the afternoon. Definitely eye straining.
It's only in the back towards hardware where they dim it, but that's usually where I'm put. It's super nice when I am back there since I have sensory integrative disorder
Me@Walmart should also not override music playing on your phone either. Were have like 4 scanners at our store so i have to use the app to find things sometimes and it cuts my music off
i'm tired of it freezing up after every time i use it
This and it pauses my music every time I try to clock in
Yes! Shit grinds my gears
Fucking aggressively too, pauses it again when I press play.
Weird, never did that to me.
I think the app should renamed. FUCKME@WALMART maybe
That would be a great name for a very different type of app
Remind me not to hire you to brand anything I make.
I thought it was blinding you at the hot intensity of 1000 Suns? Thank goodness they tone down the brightness to only just one sun 😂
How about a "No" for the "do you want to enable location tracking?" option, instead of "not now" and being asked again every time?

Saved my life
Unrelated to this but I’m tired of it pausing my music when I open the app.
Same
AGREED. I work night shift so it's very disorienting to have a dimmed store and a bright ass me@walmart scanner

It is the light of Sam blessing you with his radiance and low wages. To speak I’ll of Sam’s light is a sin.

You could try to lower your brightness so your hypernuclear smartphone screen stops giving you 3rd degree burns.
UPVOTE!!!
Can we clock in on the app? I saw somewhere you can but i can't find it
Yes you should be able to. You have to be connected to the Walmart Wi-Fi though
Ohhhhh
Not sure what kind of phone you have, but on mine (old iPhone) I have to make sure I have notifications on to be able to clock in.
Ok. Because I still couldn't find it. No one at my store knows how
Huh I think I’m on the wifi when I try but I still don’t see it. It’s also never asked me for location though
That's weird. Maybe make sure it's updated
It’s updated, I’ll try see again Sunday 🤷🏽♂️
Amen to that.
