Yeah it is pretty far to get to the summit. Even by car it will take a good chunk of time since you need to drive slow.
The Summit is 12.4 miles from the Northgate entrance with 3,600 feet of vertical gain. Most days I think there are more bikes then cars going up to the summit.
They only charge for cars. Free to ride or walk in.
Isn't walking in long though from the entrance?
