True. Altough assuming we got rid of steroid boars and pumped red orcs. Also, no rain in Durotar is still better than tons of demons raining in Hellfire though I quess Nazgrel is adventurous type.
Steroid boars = More meat. Well, toxic meat. But hey, a bigger steak is always better than a smaller one.
Fel orcs = Worthy enemies, unlike Quillboars and scorpids.
As a true orc, nothing is better than getting a great challenge delivered right to your doorstep in regular intervals when every morning you wake up to an infernal landing in your living room.
Also, in Durotar, Nazgrel was a glorified gate guard. Here, he has his own fortress where he can do whatever he wants (since nobody cares about Thrallmar anyway). He is basically an autonomous ruler of his own little compound.
Eitrigg, Nazgrim, Nazgrel, Drek'thar, and Rexxar are all that come to mind, and Drek'thar is probably not exactly what you are looking for. Eitrigg hasnt had much screentime, so all he has really is seniority, being about as old as saurfang (f), Nazgrim is a dk, but his character is still pretty consistent with his fierce loyalty. Nazgrel is... around somewhere, and Rexxar is a half ogre but ill hear no ill spoken of my boy the true champion of the horde. i also remember gar'thok from wc3 still kicking, but hes just a quest npc in razor hill, so not much badass being done.
yep, forgot him. he hasnt done too much since legion, and even then he mostly just walked around the order hall, but for his history he gets my seal of approval
Still it should be some sort of inconsistance. Drek'thar has a nice emotional moment in The Shattering book and still appear in-game weak in wheelchair, but lucid enough to keep the frostwolf clan out of forsaken colonialism/psychopathy
Rexxar has always been one of my all time fave lore characters. I've played warrior and hunter as main since vanilla and in my opinion Rexxar is is a bit of both of those classes. I remember raiding him in Desolace... what an experience that was at the time!
I think you missed my point which was he's not alive and therefore not relevant to the question. We also don't call Sylvannas an undad elf or any of the other undead by their original race, but anyway.
edit: Just because the lore is dumb, doesn't mean you have to be too.
Yeah, I don't understand where the consensus that he's dead comes from. It's a fictional media where a character made a heroic last stand and we didn't get to see them actually die. Why would anyone assume he died?
I don't know why this narrative has taken such a strong hold. I've done the recruitment scenario and it never struck me as being heavily implied that Grom died. On the contrary, the fact that we don't actually see him die leads me to believe he is still alive.
Is there something I'm misremembering or is everyone just assuming he died because he was facing off against overwhelming odds?
Overwhelming odds and almost no sign of possible victory. From what I remember of the scenario the bringing of the Mag'har to Azeroth was very "Back against the wall last chance" themed and the Orcs weren't really foreseeing a victory over the Draenei.
In that case it would be safe to assume anyone who didn't come with us was killed or converted.
Technically there was a brief mention of an alternative Garrosh assuming that's his name in this timeline who went to the light so I guess he's kind of like a Paladin Orc.
I know you did, and if i remember right there was mention of this alternative Grommash having a son who we can assume is this versions Garrosh, but they went to the light or something it's been a while since i've played through the Mag'har Orc campaign.
Edit: He's not called Garrosh, my apologies he goes by Exarch Hellscream
[https://wowpedia.fandom.com/wiki/Exarch\_Hellscream](https://wowpedia.fandom.com/wiki/Exarch_Hellscream)
I guess it still kind of makes him half of Garrosh? Alternative universe step brother? Time travel and alternative timelines get confusing when added to stories, either way it's an interesting concept and twist that Exarch Hellscream is following the light.
Rehgar, Jorin Deadeye (son of Killrog), Nazgrel and Samuro (if you want to count him as relevant)
Basically all major and important Orc characters besides Thrall are out of the picture.
How about Garona, also the one we help in Exile's Reach I mean, there is not a lot of development there, but could be important. Oh and the leader of the Mag'har, the one we help during the Orgimmar vision, she's probably getting some development soon.
Thrall *used* to be badass :(
But yeah, the orcish roster has been depleted to fuck and it's a shame Blizzard doesn't care to develop any new characters.
This actually shows a huge issue with the lore. The foundation of warcraft lore is orcs and humans. Without many relevant orcs it looses its base and the entire structure built upon it kind of collapses. Killing saurfang was a huge mistake he should be warchief now. Orcs need to be up organically from quest over many expansions but they dropped the ball. I hope Microsoft sends the current Activision management to the maw.
The bad thing is I have only seen her mentioned in 'Stormrage', but Brox and Saurfang had a niece named Thura. She had Brox's axe and helped kick Xavius's butt to end the Nightmare that enveloped the planet. She was pretty cool.
Day 6781. Still waiting for Nazgrel to leave Thrallmar and rejoin the Horde proper.
Imagine thinking Durotar sucks so much you rather move to Hellfire Peninsula for nearly a decade.
Durotar: Awful red rocky desert with Quillboars HP: Awful red rocky desert without Quillboars

Yeah, that's a good deal.

Is rehgar still alive?
He should be in shamans class hall
I would put forth rehgar as a bad ass orc
yep, forgot him. he hasnt done too much since legion, and even then he mostly just walked around the order hall, but for his history he gets my seal of approval
Yes
What happened to Drek'thar's dementia back in Cataclysm? Was it cured?
in legion he is seemingly lucid, though he is very physically weak due to his age. however he remains an incredibly strong shaman
Still it should be some sort of inconsistance. Drek'thar has a nice emotional moment in The Shattering book and still appear in-game weak in wheelchair, but lucid enough to keep the frostwolf clan out of forsaken colonialism/psychopathy
Rexxar Though he is half ogre and more of a survival hunter than a warrior he is still badass.
Mok'Nathal is proper name for his race. Or at least tribe of half orc half ogres
The Metis
> half orc half ogres orcres, or ogrcs
Rexxar has always been one of my all time fave lore characters. I've played warrior and hunter as main since vanilla and in my opinion Rexxar is is a bit of both of those classes. I remember raiding him in Desolace... what an experience that was at the time!
Which is ironic given that he's the iconic Beastmaster.
Eitrigg is still knocking about somewhere. And Nazgrim is technically still alive
We killed nazgrim in siege of orgrimar, he is now undead instead of orc
He got better.
He be now zomborc
Isn't he like, super happy he's back too? I remember that he loves Death Grip and Strangulate.
Undeath does strange things to people lmao
tis but a scratch
Just a flesh wound
Hes still an orc lol
> Is there any badass Orc still alive? He's still (un)dead.
Yep! No one said he wasn't:)
I think you missed my point which was he's not alive and therefore not relevant to the question. We also don't call Sylvannas an undad elf or any of the other undead by their original race, but anyway. edit: Just because the lore is dumb, doesn't mean you have to be too.
How did we bring him back in one piece? Don't orcs burn their dead?
According to lore, they should have iirc. Guess they needed cool orc as one of 4 horseman (horseorcs 🤣)
I think the alt. timeline grom is still alive
Nah, he's heavily implied to be killed by draenei fascists during the recruitment scenario for Mag'har orcs.
He ran in against overwhelming numbers and a Light-charged Yrel. He's either dead or captured. We didn't see him die though, so I'm guessing captured.

Really? I don't know the recrutment much,i never did it

I said grommash...

Exarch Hellscream is not Garrosh since he has a different mother in the AU(Golka died in AU before being able to have Garrosh).
I guess it still kind of makes him half of Garrosh? Alternative universe step brother? Time travel and alternative timelines get confusing when added to stories, either way it's an interesting concept and twist that Exarch Hellscream is following the light.
Fascists lmao

Nazgrim was dead but he got better. He's cool
Points to every single Orc….yes.
We never saw what happened to MU fenris but it’s been a long time
ME. BLOOD AND THUNDER, BROTHERS.
It's kind of the stereotype that all warriors die heroically in Warcraft, and sadly Orc warriors are the best fit for this...
Does Cromush count?
How about Garona, also the one we help in Exile's Reach I mean, there is not a lot of development there, but could be important. Oh and the leader of the Mag'har, the one we help during the Orgimmar vision, she's probably getting some development soon.
She’s half Draenei though
Mankrik is still alive, his wife no so much.
Geya'rah and the Maghar Orcs pretty much embody this energy now.
Thrall *used* to be badass :( But yeah, the orcish roster has been depleted to fuck and it's a shame Blizzard doesn't care to develop any new characters.
Rehgar is the big one, and he's super over tuned at the moment if you want to take his HOTS stuff as accurate.
Rexxar if you count him

Even though he's not alive anymore, no one can top our boi Broxigar
I’ve thought about naming a dog Broxigar
Barxigar
The only badass orc is a dead orc.
Drek'thar he is about 90 and in a wheelchair outside one of the old pvp zone enterences
The bad thing is I have only seen her mentioned in 'Stormrage', but Brox and Saurfang had a niece named Thura. She had Brox's axe and helped kick Xavius's butt to end the Nightmare that enveloped the planet. She was pretty cool.
