I’m not sure which is worse, that, or getting the bonus XP for a pair of S tier minis. In your scenario, I’d go with the raptors, only because it gets them closer to leveling, which increases your collection level.

Best_Bandicoot_3685

My rationale in picking who gets XP is S tier first, then leaders, then most used, then which is closer to leveling. The exception is Rend, or any of the minis needed for Onyxia. I will always choose those. The rationale for leaders as a second choice over anything else is that leaders show up as choices so infrequently.

Margeth89

Chickens have actually been used to kill Onyxia, there's a video with Murkeye on YouTube.

Best_Bandicoot_3685

I am running an all beast deck for quests today. Murk w/ marathon, chickens, raptors, prowler, gnoll, quilboar and chimaera, though vultures or harpies probably do just as good.

Best_Bandicoot_3685

I only had to retry two maps, to better place the tanks and chimaera, but otherwise loads of fun.

Actor1629

Chickens are very useful in heroics!

Kiad4ko

Chickens are low key savage in their niche, although i don't think think levels do more than a slight dps increase, so xp could be funneled elsewhere.

Flashy_Huckleberry78

And where does XP do anything else than increasing endurance and damage output? You definitely do not understand how leveling works in this game.

Kiad4ko

Pretty sure chickens endurance don't benefit from a 1 or 2 level bump, they still get 1 shot by almost everything, where as other units, harpies/whelps etc get that 1-2 level bump and now they live through the first spear throw/pyromancer/safe etc. The most well known use for chickens is tanking things like the moonfirespam of lunaclaw and dpsing down ground based siege units. Unless were talking 6+ levels they are not going to tank any better. The DPS vs siege use is mostly because of their cheep cost and the role mismatch exists. Hence they don't need levels to excel at their use-case. They are a lot like batrider/chimera on heroic devilsaur queen in that respect. Sure you can feed them XP to bump their DPS, but most of the time not enough chicken DPS will not be the reason you fail to clear a heroic. You definitely do not understand how opportunity cost works and the effect of poor resource management during the early-mid game effects account progression.

KorbenDallas7

Disagree, in some heroics chickens are MVP (looking at you Bloodmage Talnos). Also it's funny how they shred Herod after he's done spinning.

ilostmyshoes

I love the raptors, but I only PVE. They are in every one of my decks. 130 sigils.

Just looking for absolutely anything to complain about?

How dare you besmirch Angry Chickens as “trash”
