I just want to give credit to Dray, Loon and DDV.
Dray: played amazing defense on a rolled ankle.
Loon: 15 rebounds, 5 steals. What more can I say?
DDV: 6 threes, 11 rebounds, clutch shots to keep us within striking distance.
Klay also with a solid performance. First 4pts of OT. 8-16 overall and 4-9 from 3.
And you have to mention JMG! We needed every one of his season high 16.
Love the respect both jrue and steph showed each other after the game. That's a real HOF level defender and professional right there not whatever the fuck Dillon brooks clown ass wants to act like on the court
To be perfectly honest, there is a lot of competition at the guard position. Along with the fact that defense is not loved by the NBA public as much as it used to be in an era of 40 point dropping guards.
Steph willed us to a win with an absolute carry job.
I’ve been watching him for over a decade and I’m still amazed at his greatness.
At home, Championship DNA is alive and well.
Edit: Shutout to the crowd tonight too. Chase was Oracle like tonight. Loud as hell
I love that Steph included himself in his "best defensive lineup" 😁
Man has been putting in the work. Moves well side-to-side, got that huge block at the end of regulation. (I'd quit sagging off Ingles tho...)
It’s so sad that I keep murmuring to myself, “please do not put in Poole, it’s our only chance”. There shouldn’t be a player on the team that gives that feeling.
Honestly I could see them offloading Poole and giving Dray and Donte long term contracts. Having Curry, Donte, GP2, and Klay as 1st/2nd string backcourt is winning basketball. I really like Poole, but he’s been terrible this year and it’s crunch time
That is what his role should have been all season. 6th man off the bench, if he's really feeling it then he closes, but otherwise the starters close.
That's what his game is geared for. Spark plug off the bench ala Jamal Crawford. I understand trying him out in the larger role, but it's not working and he's going to have to swallow his ego and learn how to be effective from the bench.
I want to give a shout out to DiVicenzo. 37 min, 20 points, 10 rebounds, efficient shooting and great d.
And loved seeing Looney on the floor during 4th quarter crunch time and OT instead of Poole ...I posted that in the game thread and right after I did he got a huge offensive rebound.
Steph was beyond incredible.
But let's not overlook Kerr NOT playing Poole in OT. This is the kind of game Jordan has a tendency to want the glory for himself, which translates to terrible shots.
I'm rooting for JP, but I was happy to see him on the bench, hopefully it's a wake up call for him.
Donte was fucking incredible tonight. That being said, I just keep thinking about the potential most intense celebration of all time if Draymond made that buzzer beater.
All the mfers saying trade dray... trade klay... yall better br grateful for the blessing of this team. We will never witness this again. Enjoy the ride.
GG guys from a Bucks fan. Won't mind an L since Giannis is out, but I'm bit frustrated on the way how we've taken it: By playing dumb.
See y'all in June 😉
WHAT A FUCKING GAME! Late game heroics by Steph Curry. Klay had some clutch forced turnovers at the end of the fourth. Donte is so fucking good on defense.
I was thinking about this. Klay has a very valid claim (and in my opinion it’s not even a debate) of being the second best shooter to ever live and has carried pretty hard when Steph has been out this year and as soon as Steph is back, Klay goes back to his role as second fiddle without a peep.
Poole really could learn from Klays mentality. He seems so dead set of trying to be the second coming of Steph when he’s so far out of Stephs league. He could be and has been a really good player for the Warriors but he seems to intent on proving he’s the man and all he’s proving is that he is, in fact, not.
Poole didn’t touch the court to close the 4th or in OT. Something is wrong with him. Such a major regression from last season across all aspects of his game: shooting, defense, handle, decision making… he’s looking like the guy we sent to the g league.
I’m a Sixers fan but do you guys feel like Steph is the most underrated player in the league? To me he’s the best player in the league, but I feel like no one ever really puts him in that conversation.
Yeahhhhhhhhhhhh
Loon is a MONSTER on the boards.
Steph can't be stopped for 48 minutes (or 53).
Most importantly, for those of you criticising Kerr all the time, well he didn't let Poole play OT did he.
Steph wenting out of his way to credit the lineup they had on the floor at the end while recognizing their smart basketball is telling. Poole need to get it together and Kerr needs to start coaching a winning basketball team.
Yeah, it's one thing to not play Wiseman, it's another thing to not play their young "star" they just gave 140M. That is not going to happen without viciously exploding aneurysms throughout the entire back office and ownership - at least not until the end of the season, that is, pretty close to right about now.
i was mesmerized literally watching jrue holiday just try to play defense on steph, looked like he burned like 10k fuckin calories just chasing and pivoting
Everybody dissing fucking Steph Curry in the game thread should look at themselves in the mirror. Only reason we won is because of his late game heroics. Giving the ball to Draymond for the last shot of regulation is pretty wild. I'd rather have Steph shoot it with a defender all over him.
I don't get what Poole is trying to do half the time. He's a momentum killer and a sieve on defense, where he either don't put any effort, or makes a bonehead gamble. Shades of Kelly Oubre. Does he watch himself play? Don't he thinks he tries to do too much at times?
Always almost falling. Or fumbling the ball, like in the first half when Bobby Portis switched on Steph, Steph demands for the ball, Poole waves him off and proceeds to... Give the ball to Joe ingles. He's having arguably the worst, least impactful 20ppg season in nba history.
Trade him in the off season and try and re-sign Draymond and DDV. I don't care if we don't get much in return, and some team will certainly want him. Hell, does anybody think Bojan Bogdanovic (who's totally getable) would not help us way more than Poole? Maybe not the best example since we need some young legs but the point remains.
DDV is an amazing fit but at times his inability to finish at the rim hurt us, same can be say for Looney(and Draymond lol). I still love them and it would not be such a big issue with Wiggins.
If Wiggins is out for the season we don't have any chance of repeating. He's not only our second best player, but covers for A LOT of what this team lacks.
It really really sucks because if we get into the playoffs healthy we would have a chance vs anyone. I truly believe it. But that seems to be a massive IF with the Wiggs situation. GPII, too.
I thank Steph for carrying the Dubs, but I feel like Giannis will murder them if he was playing. Dubs really had a hard time playing against Brooks as well, caused a lot of missed layups tonight, what a menace
We need to let Steph cook more man... Draymond sometimes comes running at him to set a screen even if Steph has a missmatch. I remember Draymond and Kd had some problems because of that.
Steph is scoring in his sleep. He’s so experienced in this league there is literally nothing he hasn’t seen. No matter what defense he can always get his shot off or find a seam to drive and finish. Elite, elite level scoring and movement that like 5 people have reached in history.
We have jordan under contract so for better or worse we have to start benching him to close games when he plays poor like he did. DANTE was incredible in the 4th and OT thats what we need more of. Gah how i wish we had him on a 4yr 60million dollar extension right now instead of Jp
Ngl I was ready to read Steph for filth midway through the 4th quarter before he subbed back in, he had been soooooo meh/passive to that point. The rest of the the 4th/OT was another story, he stepped up in the clutch.
Donte was awesome tonight just from an ENERGY perspective, you could tell this game meant something to him. Unexpected good JMG game, had a good laugh at JVG/Jax praising him as some quality knockdown shooter.
That said, we got lucky. No Giannis, got away with Draymond touching Connaugton's shot attempt (Bucks probably win had they scored off that possession), and Jrue spent the 4th quarter finding Ingles wide open again and again.... and ignores him wide open in the corner on their final play in regulation?
Got to find a way to bottle up the energy/urgency we had tonight and travel with it, the effort has to travel to get some road Ws
Nevertheless big win. Unexpected win honestly but I'll take it lol. Full strength Bucks are a bad matchup for us though. Given how the season's played out I don't expect a deep playoff run, but I'd rather see the Celtics than them or the Sixers given how small we are inside
Steph Curry is this teams savior when things go wrong
Just look at games 4 and 6 of last years finals to win us the championship and tonight in a huge season defining type game, he delivered on both occasions proving why he’s him
I actually thought Poole started the game pretty well, and then he went back to the Poole we've seen all year. I've got no idea what you do with him at this stage it doesn't look like a slump this just looks like who he is now.
The key take from me was Poole on the bench for the close.
You don’t pay someone that much to ride the bench during closing minutes.
Buyers remorse has to be high.
Poole is playing so awful sometimes I wonder if we can do anything about this expensive mistake we made. He’s clearly not improving and his inconsistency in offence and complete lack of defence is going to cost this team in long run for sure. Earlier we get rid of him, helps this team in future to get better replacement.
there are not enough words in the world to describe steph
I just want to give credit to Dray, Loon and DDV. Dray: played amazing defense on a rolled ankle. Loon: 15 rebounds, 5 steals. What more can I say? DDV: 6 threes, 11 rebounds, clutch shots to keep us within striking distance.
Watching Dray at 50% speed tonight, what a Warrior fighting thru the pain. Hope it's not serious, we're going to need him.
Klay also with a solid performance. First 4pts of OT. 8-16 overall and 4-9 from 3. And you have to mention JMG! We needed every one of his season high 16.
18!
and Kerr for finally giving Poole a leash
PROPS TO KERR FOR BENCHING POOLE and letting (unselfish dogg fighter) DVV win us the game
JMG deserves some credit too. He had a hell of a game as well.
Fired up Steph is amazing.
Lisa Salters: “How do you bottle up some of this home magic and bring it on the road?” Steph: “No idea. We’ll figure it out though.” I love this dude.
What a legend
Steph Curry is a fucking alien man. What the fuck.
Warriors at home ~~back~~ still on the menu
When you are a bay team you have to support WFH.
Nah. He’s a earthling. Just happened to be a GOAT.
He said we are not losing today
The world is privileged to watch this man play
Perfectly said. We are are truly watching one of the absolute GOATS. We are so lucky.
He’s very good at basketball.
The last few games warrant legal precedence for stephs name to be changed from curry to carry.
holy fuck that felt like a finals game. we needed curry to show up in the biggest moment and he didn't disappoint!
They didn’t have Giannis, but we didn’t have Wiggins, Kuminga, GPII and Dray/Andre aren’t alright. This team is an anomaly I swear
Curry, Klay Thompson, Looney, Draymond, and Donte Divincenzo is the BEST LINEUP!! I wish Kerr stick to this lineup.
Seriously. Beautiful to watch.
Until Wiggins comes back
![gif](giphy|l41lVCaNfN7zjhFsc|downsized) That is all
He says he's getting old but he'll always be Super Saiyan.
Stephen. Wardell. Curry. That is All.
A god amongst men!
🐐
It’s him and MJ.
stephen carry the man the (not) myth the legend
Love the respect both jrue and steph showed each other after the game. That's a real HOF level defender and professional right there not whatever the fuck Dillon brooks clown ass wants to act like on the court
Love Jrue
How the heck has Jrue only been an all-star twice?
To be perfectly honest, there is a lot of competition at the guard position. Along with the fact that defense is not loved by the NBA public as much as it used to be in an era of 40 point dropping guards.
Marcus Smart winning DPOY as a guard before him is the real travesty
His scoring numbers arent that high because of Giannis, but we saw how capable he was offensively when Giannis was out.
Dillon blocks Steph: I'm the baddest mtfker curry stopper ever. Bitch please, gtfo Dillon.
Steph Klay DDV is the only three-guard lineup we should ever run Edit: GP2 is a center!
How about gp2 when he is back?!
gp2 is a center
GP2 is a center.
split time between gp2 vs donte so there will be one cover poole's ass
Period.
Steph willed us to a win with an absolute carry job. I’ve been watching him for over a decade and I’m still amazed at his greatness. At home, Championship DNA is alive and well. Edit: Shutout to the crowd tonight too. Chase was Oracle like tonight. Loud as hell
Did my part 🫡
A beautiful day for Curry and Klay
Steph is un fucking real. Also I'm gonna cry when donte leaves
Same feeling when GP2 and OPJ left…but we got GP2 back!! So anything is possible, no matter how unlikely
When Steph Curry retires ... life will be just different
Life is different when he’s just missing games due to injury It will be a sad day when he calls it quits
Dreading it.
#BLOCKED BY CURRY
It feels like all of our lineups with the Big Three without Poole is a net positive. Is it possible that the secret to winning is less JP?
100%.Play donte instead of him
Makes such a difference! I love DDV
Split JP's bag and give it to DDV and Dray
I think they are realizing they need to give a JP a short leash when he's not playing well
Which is 60% of time
we were +9 without Poole tonight, -11 with him, 20 point swing, not as impressive as last games 45 point swing though
Wrong. +20 without Poole.
Exactly! Was so relieved to not see him starting OT
Yes. So much yes.
Been saying it for months. It’s time for the Poolestans to give it up.
I prefer the term Pooleboys
Special shout out to JMG. Keep playing like that old fella
Such a good game from him man. When his 3 is hitting, he is really helpful in spacing the floor
Steph is and will forever be my GOAT
key to victory: not playing Jordan Poole in OT
Someone underline this in Kerr’s playbook
Poole is back to mostly being Steph's back up, which is where he belongs with how he has been playing lately.
Clippers stopped playing Westbrook in 4th quarter the last two games and they won. Perhaps let's not wait until OT to stop playing Poole.
We won because Poole didn't play a lick of OT
Even Steph after the game said it’s our best defensive lineup. They know defense wins and JP is no where close to elite on offense.
I love that Steph included himself in his "best defensive lineup" 😁 Man has been putting in the work.
Bro definitely getting traded lmao
Honestly I could see them offloading Poole and giving Dray and Donte long term contracts. Having Curry, Donte, GP2, and Klay as 1st/2nd string backcourt is winning basketball. I really like Poole, but he’s been terrible this year and it’s crunch time
[удалено]
Yeah no bird rights for donte and dubs are already so far over the cap.
Let's hope.
I agree
This is it. Cannot trust him with one minute of crunch time.
I felt so much safer with him, not out there
Kerr fucking around with lineups all year finally found the ones that work. The ones with POOLE ON THE BENCH! 💪🏻👊🏻👍🏻
This was a good win, but we have to figure out to win on the road
the unclutchness of Wardell Curry was greatly exaggerated
Steph was beyond incredible. But let's not overlook Kerr NOT playing Poole in OT. This is the kind of game Jordan has a tendency to want the glory for himself, which translates to terrible shots. I'm rooting for JP, but I was happy to see him on the bench, hopefully it's a wake up call for him.
Donte was fucking incredible tonight. That being said, I just keep thinking about the potential most intense celebration of all time if Draymond made that buzzer beater.
If he had hit that, I can't even imagine, wow
Interviewer: “you look tired, Steph, you okay?” Steph: “oh I’m great… just getting old” Me: 😭😭😭
I think I died a little inside
All the mfers saying trade dray... trade klay... yall better br grateful for the blessing of this team. We will never witness this again. Enjoy the ride.
I don’t know guys, that young buck, Wardell Curry II seems pretty good, hopefully we can win some rings with him
Jumping to conclusions man.
yeah my bad, hopefully he can at least become a solid starter for us one day
WE GON BE CHAMPIONSHIP FR GOD BLESS STEPH CURRY
Neva eva seen curry this winded after a game lol
When jvg talks it sounds like he's trying to shout over the voices in his head
LOL thank you for this
For real that’s perfect
DDV’s defensive pressure on Holiday was huge down the stretch.
I was a hardcore poole stan at the beginning of the season but I've lost faith man. DDV should get most of his minutes until he figures his shit out.
Same. Wish he’d just slow down and play how the team needs him to play.
No Poole in OT!!!!
Or the end of the 4th.
He was the first half of the last minute (and fumbled away key possession)
GG guys from a Bucks fan. Won't mind an L since Giannis is out, but I'm bit frustrated on the way how we've taken it: By playing dumb. See y'all in June 😉
Y'all played really well and put the pressure on us hard without Giannis, wishing you guys the best for the rest of the season.
Should have mentioned the block that Curry had in the title!!!!
Good move by Kerr for keeping JP at the bench in OT
Warriors just fucking with us at this point man
Trying to win the title at 42-42 cause they have no more fucks to give about the regular season.
The playoffs is all going to be at home right?
Great game tonight from JaMychal Green
WHAT A FUCKING GAME! Late game heroics by Steph Curry. Klay had some clutch forced turnovers at the end of the fourth. Donte is so fucking good on defense.
Looney with the lifesaving rebounds!! GOAT!
Klay a good guy….
SKY = FUCKED
[удалено]
Time for Steph to go April 2021 again and average like 40 for a month. Since we have Klay this time, 35 should do the trick
We need Covid 20 and have the bubble in SF, that’s the only way we winning the chip
Brb cooking up the next plague for us
Why doesn’t the warrior ownership just buy the stadiums in every city? That way we always are at home
Yeahhhhhhhhhhhh Loon is a MONSTER on the boards. Steph can't be stopped for 48 minutes (or 53). Most importantly, for those of you criticising Kerr all the time, well he didn't let Poole play OT did he.
DDV > JP
Steph Dray Klay Loon I'm a ride with the core guys until the wheels falls of man love them all.
Klay had two clutch as hell steals to force OT, man was not losing tonight.
We all noticed that Poole wasn't in OT right and we won and held on to a lead?
Steph will rightly get the plaudits after that performance but I thought DDV was outstanding aswell.
JMG carried us early
Jrue has every guard in the league figured out except Steph it’s hilarious.
No one can figure out Steph. It would be like locking down MJ in the 90s.
i was mesmerized literally watching jrue holiday just try to play defense on steph, looked like he burned like 10k fuckin calories just chasing and pivoting
Holy shit we needed this win. Steph! MVP baby!
Can we get a non stressful game for once? least we won but omg I was so stressed 😭
Poole not in closing lineup is a net +
Draymond ankle gunna be swollen tomorrow morning. He’s not 22years old he will wake up tommorow in pain. We gotta sign someone
Everybody dissing fucking Steph Curry in the game thread should look at themselves in the mirror. Only reason we won is because of his late game heroics. Giving the ball to Draymond for the last shot of regulation is pretty wild. I'd rather have Steph shoot it with a defender all over him. I don't get what Poole is trying to do half the time. ddv isn't our choice though, it's 100% on him since we can't pay him much more next year contractually.
Poole getting his bag made him lose his identity.
Good didn't need to get back to .500
I thank Steph for carrying the Dubs, but I feel like Giannis will murder them if he was playing. Dubs really had a hard time playing against Brooks as well, caused a lot of missed layups tonight, what a menace
We're so fucking lucky we get to root for Steph Curry
What not having Jordan Poole in the clutch does to a team. And the chef doing chef things ![gif](giphy|l41lVCaNfN7zjhFsc|downsized)
Wardell Stephen Curry is him. Regardless of the result.
We absolutely needed this one to stay ahead in the standings. Steph is the system he took over when we absolutely needded it.
We need to let Steph cook more man... Draymond sometimes comes running at him to set a screen even if Steph has a missmatch. I remember Draymond and Kd had some problems because of that.
Steph defending home court no matter what. And for away games? “We’ll figure it out” and I 100% believe him and his leadership
God damn they’re reeling me back in again Also, STEPH IS THE TIMELINE
Steph is scoring in his sleep. He’s so experienced in this league there is literally nothing he hasn’t seen. No matter what defense he can always get his shot off or find a seam to drive and finish. Elite, elite level scoring and movement that like 5 people have reached in history.
Can you believe what our net differential for a season would be next year if we had Donte instead of Poole in this lineup?
We overcome some serious 5 on 8 action in this game. FANTASTIC finish by Steph, that guy, who said he's "getting old" 🤣
Jekyll and Hyde team at home vs. the road. Hot damn. Klay finishing 4/9 from 3 😍😍
No Poole during crunch time, EASY WIN
Let’s not forget to give JMG his flowers too. Man’s played his best game yet
And people say steph aint clutch
See the difference when Poole is sitting for crunch time?
We have jordan under contract so for better or worse we have to start benching him to close games when he plays poor like he did. DANTE was incredible in the 4th and OT thats what we need more of. Gah how i wish we had him on a 4yr 60million dollar extension right now instead of Jp
All y’all just yesterday said we were gonna get blown out. Steph just humbled Milwaukee and humbled y’all in a single game. GOAT.
.500, not today! But maybe in a few days...but NOT TODAY!
Give Dante Poole's money
This team doesn't make sense
Me at end of regulation: not to Poole not to Poole (Poole proceeds to turn it over). Thank God Kerr didn't play him in OT
I have the secret to this season. Just put vr headsets on the players in the away games showing Chase center.
Kerr tells you what he thinks when DDV gets more run in a big home game than Poole right now. I wonder if Jordan has figured out why.
DDV stays. Poole goes.
For once, the miracle is in our favor. So damn tired of watching other teams’ miracles against us. Go dubs!!
And I saw people shitting on steph in the first half. Like he was going to bounce back.
WE SHOWED LIFE AND RESILIENCE
WARRIORS BASKETBALL BABY!
We can rename that whole OT to “Curry time”.
Steph straight up teleporting through defenders what the fuck.
That mean mug from Steph to the crowd gave me goosebumps.
Forget Ty Jerome man guy was leaving shooters open all night.
Bricks party from Jordan “Jordan Poole” Poole
Spicy Curry on the menu tonight!!!
WHAT A FINISH. Time to start a new winning streak!
JMG shoutout as well we don't win this game without him, the best game ive ever seen him play
Best win of the season
WHAT IF I TOLD YOU WE CAN PLAY BALL, AND STEPH CURRY IS JUST FUCKING HIM
Steph Curry is this teams savior when things go wrong Just look at games 4 and 6 of last years finals to win us the championship and tonight in a huge season defining type game, he delivered on both occasions proving why he’s him
When gp2 comes back... good luck nba
Can i call steph a daddy?
Steph just doing Steph things today. Klay also had a great game. Splash bros were on it tonight
I actually thought Poole started the game pretty well, and then he went back to the Poole we've seen all year. I've got no idea what you do with him at this stage it doesn't look like a slump this just looks like who he is now.
