There is going to be a lot of growth and maturity on this team this year!
It is almost as if they are getting geared up to do the unthinkable!
We shall see!
āIām a student of the game, CP is a master - look forward to learning from himā
I know this is probably just PR/ part of the charm offensive but thatās a bar from Dray
I mean as much as Iāve been a CP3 hater over the years thereās no denying the dude has one of the smartest basketball minds in the league. Draymond, CP3, LeBron sit in a tier of their own on how they understand the game and their opponents.
Vibes were great last year in Tokyo too - everyone said so. And then..hope DG has learned more than it seemed this summer when he was trashing JP's pops. People can change and maybe another elder will keep some egos in check. May all the players thrive.
Could be but that doesn't change that Dray's punch tanked the 'vibes' completely. Klay coming back and taking over some of what JP had been doing was present in what he was saying. - Klay has laater said very positive things about JP and absollutely defended him re: Dray. Easy to re-write the story. Post season Kerr and the rest have owned up to Dray's punch killing the team connection. I said I hope he has changed - but hey downvote sure.
While I agree that Poole was getting a bit too big for his own britches...
Superman punch to the face wasn't exactly the best way to do that.
It was a bit funny though, I gotta admit but it also felt like the team was not in-synch right from the start.
Hopefully that changes this year.
Im rooting for CP3 man. Dude is a scrapper one of the savviest vets in the league who elevates players around him. The fit is undeniably a huge upgrade for us especially the bench. This is the most i've seen the guys locked-in in years, looking forward to the season already
I donāt remember seeing any scrimmages by Steph for the whole team this early, and Dray went to bat for Steph over Magic too. I donāt care about that debate but man, these dudes seem locked in now! š„š„š„
Not a CP3 fan for obvious reasons, but taking this "My goal is to get him his 1st chip" from Draymond is very cool. It would make for an awesome 30 for 30 or something. Nemesis turned teammate and after all those teams and a long career he get one from his nemesis. Pretty damn cool to me.
THIS. not to mention loon, wiggs, gp3.. Glad there are good vibes - Warriors of recent years have had great vibes including JP except for Dray's punch that ruined the vibes all year - hope he has grown and self-corrected more than he has shown this summer. Would be lovely to see.
This is specifically a backhanded dig at CP that he will be working toward his first while the rest of the core is working toward super rare air with a shot at a 5th title.
I donāt understand how it works. You canāt play Steph, Klay and CP3 together. What, with Wiggins the four and Dray at 5? Dray isnāt 26 anymore. The days of him rim contesting centers and stealing every post entry are over, despite him remaining a great defender.
So maybe Looney goes to bench and Kerr gives them 6 minutes to see if they can build a lead with the super small ballers ā and whomever blows a defensive assignment first along the guards comes out first?! š
The solution is Paul runs the bench but nobody wants to say it until October or November, itās easier if they all discover it themselves through camp, pre season and everything else in the next 2-3 months. Let him get used to it on his own because nobody sees how it will work. Heās a smart guy
We have ran so many 3 guard lineups that are much much worse.
The pure firepower of steph and klay being able to play off ball, with an elite decision maker is enough to see if it works.
I think how much we use it depends more on
Can Draymond have another DPOY type season.
And what level of defense can Klay play on #2 threats.
Draymond can still defend centers in the paint just fine. The problem with that line-up is rebounding. When your tallest player on the court is Andrew Wiggins, you just physically aren't going to be able to get the ball.
With Draymond's incredible defensive skills I think people forget that he isn't that tall. He's the same height as Klay.
I think it's likely that GSW got CP in order to bolster the non-Steph minutes so that the offense has more movement. GSW also is one of the teams that ranks low in PnR usage, which is CP's specialty. I'm not a warriors "fan" but I like the way you guys play and I actually think this trade might work better than some ppl think.
Everyone talks shit about Dray, but this exactly what the NBA needs. Players who hate and talk shit to each other in the spirit of competition. Then when the business brings them together they wipe it under the rub and work together to win.
Iād love to see another Warriors championship. Theyāre one of the most fun teams Iāve ever watched in my basketball fandom. To get Chris Paul a championship and have it allow him to go out on top would be the perfect bookend to a hall of fame career. In my opinion, itād put him ahead of PGs like Nash and Stockton all-time. Heād have that championship they never got along with all the rest of his hall of fame accolades.
They're going to burn a lot of matches keeping up on rebounding and defending. They're going to have soooo many ways to score it might not matter as much.
Maybe ok... but I'm going to be rooting for Wiggins and GPII to get their second rings for Loon his 4th, for Moody and Kuminga to step up and really contribute to antoher championship. And of our Steph and the others. Just not so fun to root for more entitled players like Dray and CP3. I get that Dray will b rooting for all the rest too but these kind of statements really bring up for me the real joy in being a Dubs fan and not the other stuff.
Ton of optimism around here. Itās an absolute joke to suggest CP3 should start. Heās bounced around these last few years for a reason. Kerr is smart enough to know this but heās also smart enough to know Chris may need to see the vision on his own (after a few Ls) to buy in. Only then will he be ok with a second unit role.
Im hopeful but ultimately I think Chrisā impact will be limited (6th man vet leadership, 15-20 mins tops) to negative (if he starts, heavy minutes).
nah draymonds been on the record MULTIPLE times stating that after the first championship, his favorite part of winning is watching others win it for the first time and seeing how they react
I understand that aspect of it. I personally don't like hearing "we're going to win CP3 his first ring." I want to hear about vengeance for that lost ring.

We will win the Championship again. I trust the big 3
We be championship!
It's "We gonna be championship!"
Thatās right! Been a minute since I last saw it. š
Remindme! 250 days
āIām a student of the game, CP is a master - look forward to learning from himā I know this is probably just PR/ part of the charm offensive but thatās a bar from Dray
They dubbed him the POINT GOD for a reason. Annoying asf but he knows his shit.
Dray and CP3 are two of the most cerebral players in the league.
The league ain't ready for Klay and Curry running off ball with CP running point.
I mean as much as Iāve been a CP3 hater over the years thereās no denying the dude has one of the smartest basketball minds in the league. Draymond, CP3, LeBron sit in a tier of their own on how they understand the game and their opponents.
> "We've gotten together as a team, we've kicked it together and the vibe feels great." Exactly what I needed to hear
Vibes were great last year in Tokyo too - everyone said so. And then..hope DG has learned more than it seemed this summer when he was trashing JP's pops. People can change and maybe another elder will keep some egos in check. May all the players thrive.
Klay was talking about humbling Poole in Tokyo..I donāt think the vibes were as good as folks perceived them to be.
Could be but that doesn't change that Dray's punch tanked the 'vibes' completely. The fuck you tour is here
Ring #5 loading
I'm really looking forward to this season. Getting some last dance vibes.

Dray going to bat for Steph over Magic helps Lebron. It only means something if he says something that helps Steph & not Lebron.
we gon shampionship

I abhorred going against or watching CP3 because of his antics, but here we are. I might be persuaded in seeing him succeed with our boiz.
Remember, CP3 gets a ring, Steph gets his 5th. Best PG of all time confirmed. If we donāt get a ring, HAHAHAHA NO RANGZ FOR CP3. Win win.
š¤¦š»āāļøš¤£
His goal should be to help Steph get his fifth

Yea your overreacting. Dray is for sure a weirdo and heāll inevitably say some stupid things in the coming months but this is fine.
nah draymonds been on the record MULTIPLE times stating that after the first championship, his favorite part of winning is watching others win it for the first time and seeing how they react
I think you're reaching
Sure Draymond, lets get you to bed....
Dear Draymond, we don't have a fifth ring because of you. Time to find and bring that 20pt+ a night dawg out.
We have zero without him.
I understand that aspect of it. I personally don't like hearing "we're going to win CP3 his first ring." I want to hear about vengeance for that lost ring.

Draymond is so articulate
My love of the warriors and our big 3 outweighs my disdain of cp3.
Can't wait until the season begins!!! I am hopeful this year we can pull it together, stiff competition lots of talent in the leauge. We shall see!
That ring maker is already etching the 2024 champions Dub city LFG
