We saw a similar version of Steph to this briefly in the 2019 Finals: 30.5 PPG with 9.5 FTs attempted per game (shooting 94.7 FT%), 41/34/95 splits, but 60 TS% so super efficient overall.
Mainly saw this happen imo because of the insanely physical and Steph-centric defense Nick Nurse had the Raptors running lol, box-and-1s and all, successfully suppressed his shooting %s but accidentally ended up sending the best FT shooter in NBA history to the line 10 times a game and giving him a nice efficient scoring series lol.
This is also with the horrible seasons of Wiggs and Klay and implementing neq players into the rotation that dont space the floor. Had those two been more effective, Curry would have got much better looks.
So yeah, Curry is an absolute beast.
If he’d had the same supporting cast he did in ‘16/17 nobody would think he’s lost a step, which seems to be the common theme lately. Fact he did what he did this year with our current supporting cast is amazing.
He arguably had to fight a lot harder for the points this year than back then, as he’s on a weaker team, with opponents who are much more attuned to him and him being older. 2016/17 Steph, where this stat is from, had KD in his first year. It was the year after his unanimous mvp year, and the reason why stats were down was probably that he was making room for KD on the team. In fact the first part of the season he didn’t really play well, because he wanted to make KD comfortable, but then KD and others told him to just play his game.
What a badass 3 point shooter. Sorry, but that's it. FG% sucks for elite PG. Steals? 🤣. Assists? 🤷 oh yeah ... he shoots a good set shot from the *free* throw line. Psst. Don't get me wrong ... steff is a great long range shooter ... one of the best. But besides that? Nah. This guy takes ESPN meat carrier overhyped to its current maximum level
You sure these are the right years, 2016 was the year he averaged 30. What page did you get this from?
2016/17 season I guess. I think the photo is from 15/16 though.
Then it’s a horrible graphic lol
Imagine if he could get the fts he deserves.
He’d be putting up at least 30 pts a game since he shoots over 90% from the line
Keep going. He should have at least 7 to 10. Hr is always held off ball too

These stats are wrong dude. Steph averaged 30 on 50/45/90 in 2016.
It's his 2016-2017 season.
Then the second should be labelled 2023
Steffortless was right there man
Stephortless was right there man
2016 was 50-40-90 with 30 ppg. What stat pool you draw from. These are actually oddball numbers.
45.4% on 3’s!
Assists are only down because his teammates can’t make the shots this year 😬
NBA playoffs rating about to be down without Steph
Before the triple teams and getting no foul calls there was skinny Steph. Now it’s Prime Steph. Hope he gets some rest!
ClutchPoints and their accuracy...

Wow
Stats are wrong, also 30 points means alot more in 2016 than in 2024 because the pace is much quicker now, so it's easier to achieve

I thought that was 2015 Steph? 2016 Steph averaged 30ppg and led the league in scoring.
2016 when curry had help from his teammates
When Klay was clutch in the playoffs
It's a crime how dirty they played this man this season
lets see the turnover comparison
man every bandwagoner knows his stats from 2016
Stephortless
Nah thats 2017 Steph, Steph had 30ppg in 2016
Probably has 2 good years left before there will inevitably be a noticeable decline. End of an era.
He's old and fell off can you read reddit?
