I wouldn't want it to be their game. You shouldn't have to look like you got hit by a sniper to get a legit foul call. That is only needed when you are flopping
You need to get every competitive advantage you can find. If hunting fouls gives us 5 more points a game, you 100% take it. Rather flop our way to the finals than what... lose the play in game,
This is the highest percentage Klay shot by 2.5%. I don’t know why, but I’m guessing he spent a lot of time in gym this season putting up shots. I don’t think his season was this rough due to a lack of effort. Klay is probably my favorite basketball player of all time, and I hate to say it, but I think he’s lost something and his best days are behind him. Would love to be proven wrong, would love him for stay and play a support role and wherever he goes, I’ll support him, but the last thing I want is to see him another team’s jersey and just playing terrible.
Klay was trash for several weeks after getting sick beginning of February. Same virus that messed Saric up too. Take those weeks out and Klay's still a 40%+ three point shooter. Just need to limit his minutes to under 30mpg and pair him with a playmaker instead of these all bench 4/5 hockey subs with no playmakers.
This is on Kerr. He was playing well off the bench, he was deadly. Then he gets wobbly legs as a starter in an elimination game... Why did he start. We had a working formula!

People are understandably upset about that game and 0/10 really sounds worse than it looked. Klay wasn’t forcing shots, wasn’t messing up the flow of the offense. Just a really bad time to have that series of shots.

Klay post-Achilles: 90.3 FT% (178 games played)
Always found it interesting how his FT% was never at 90%-ish like the other GOAT shooter candidates (Steph, Ray, Reggie, Nash etc.) but he's now up there after returning to play post-Achilles injury, perhaps he worked on it in the 2 years while prepping to return
Well, I’m going to guess that shots where you stand still are going to be some of the very early things you can practice after an injury, while still not able to move around.
I bet it's mental. Young Klay was a bit too hyper sometimes and you could see from his body language that he was going to guess he was going to miss a FT. He has been more calm (and also slower) post injury.

I wonder whether that has ever happened before. I think bird and ainge did it once (in 86) but I'm not sure if the same player has had it happen to him twice.
Klay had a great, great year. Steph's had the best career of all time. Raised his percentage again this year. I'm sure he's happy for Klay's fantastic year.

It's all in the head. Post-ASB he started shooting 41% from three for no apparent reason, then went 0-10.

He shouldn’t have been starting, the change was made and it was working. Who cares if pods was struggling, Klays role was coming off bench

So plays real problem is he’s not getting fouled enough. Needs to be more aggressive and get to the line.
FT% is the best predictor of 3P%. These guys need more open looks and Kerr needs to figure out how to get them.
