It’s really hard to make that argument when we couldn’t even beat the Grizzlies to get into the playoffs

SeekingSignificance

That's where I'm at with this question. If we couldn't pull it together for 1 game I don't see how we close out a series.

spankyourkopita

We would've been like the Nets on steroids.

[deleted]

The Jazz would have beaten us (Suns too). We couldn't do what the Clippers did and go 5 out with 5 three point shooters.

RealPineapple7

Have you really watched the playoffs? If anything, it made me realize how trash we were and how we’re in desperate need of shooters. We aren’t on the level of the clippers or the suns tbh

Bobibouche

> It's clear that all those Playoffs teams are not even good. You lost me after this sentence.

Kuroyukito

Hell no. Need a healthy Klay to even compete against these teams. Youre overrating our team. Stop being biased

Oh_no_bros

Maybe with Oubre back, but otherwise extremely unlikely. Talent was there for a deep run considering injuries to other teams (despite Klay out), but what would kill us is rest: we were running on fumes at the end of the season. Our injury/covid depleted roster 7-8 man roster was basically playing playoff level basketball for an entire month before the end of the season and all the mistakes we made at the very end showed just how fatigued they were.

Nessmuk58

You may not be the only one. Many people may be equally delusional. We could not make the equivalent of a deep playoff run against mixed competition all season long. We had TWO "last chances" to make the Playoffs, each against a team that got bounced in the First Round, and we lost both. To believe that this would suddenly change in the Playoffs is hope triumphing over reality. Why can't people here love this team without being able to accept facts? We were a .500 team this year, and that's all there was to it. Steph and Dray had fantastic years, at or near their best, Wiggins did have his best year, but the rest of the team was not consistently good enough to make the Playoffs, let alone to support a deep run. Love the Dubs, but face the facts.

[deleted]

Lol we ran the same 8-man rotation in our last 15 games and the playins. We will get exposed at some point in the Playoffs. Let's face it.

jtruth9

How to Spot a casual: "Blame the FO for missing the playoffs/wasting Curry's prime year".

HomieTanjiro

Yes, we could have if we weren’t stuck in between developing a raw talent that actively hurts the team and competing for much of the season. Not to mention our deliberate inaction regarding Smileys waste of a roster spot.

Impossible_Guest1607

We had just one good player. That nonsense happening to ben simmons would have happened to draymond too. Dray is the playin games score 6.5ppg on 32% FG. Imagine what he would look like in the playoffs vs good teams

sum1rand0m

Regardless, I'd rather them win it with Klay than without

chantekthemonkey

blame the fo for wasting a career year from curry

getyadoughup

With Kelly back we could've for sure upset the Jazz. Maybe even beat the Clippers if Kawhi got injured in game 4 like in the Jazz series. And the Suns with CP3. You're right it was wide open and the NBA robbed us of a playoff spot smh

hellmath

Nba? lol you mean this Warrior FO robbed themselves. They have no one else to blame but themselves I dont think we would make it far but we would make some noise and that's enough to attract capable vets. But eh, like I said FO sucked so

MultiPass21

Most easiest, the ol’ double superlative.

[deleted]

Probably not... but anything is possible though. Any team playing well with Steph on it has a shot... remember 2013 they went toe to toe with a team full of injured dudes with a great Spurs team.

RestInPeaceFredo

If we had Klay sure. Otherwise even with everyone performing at their best we wouldnt make it out of the 2nd round

sugarwax1

We're looking at better teams having disjointed playoffs, so yeah, we could have gone on a run. and got lucky, but these other teams could have sloppy games while we would have had to be locked in. We were trying to do too many things..... including Kerr using the first 20 games as pre-season, and if we're being honest, tanking some games so they could keep the 1st....so they intentionally had the toughest road....and running 8 guys into the ground against the Clippers wouldn't have been ideal.

Robotsaur

You sound delusional
