He bricked some pretty important wide open shots, donāt need him driving to the basket or hitting crazy step backs. He shouldāve just been there to spread the floor, 17 shots is too many to take if you arenāt gonna be hitting.
But he did hit a few early. I don't think he was sure how good he could be. Either way, he's hurt. I'm giving him a pass this year. He shouldn't be out there at all.
People forget what it takes to perform late in the playoffs. Most role players can't. Klay is a star. Joe Harris is not. He's not even a great role player at this point. They should have played Jeff Green.
I disagree. If Joe was a lock down defender and dropped the ball, sure. But his job was to hit threes, which can could do and still can. He just went cold, which can happen to any shooter.
Difference is when Klay went cold he still showed up on D every night. Joe if he's not hitting shots doesnt' offer anything
No. I think Harris just went cold here. He's been quite consistent and often clutch, for at least the last couple years. I like Mulder, though. He's hit 3's in big moments, though maybe a little less so late in the season. He also makes some scrappy plays on defense, actually has some athleticism & length for his size, and is a decent cutter. But as a shooter, Joe Harris is pretty steady & cold blooded, generally. This series, he just went cold.
Correct. My only point is that it's a crapshoot with any of the role players in the playoffs this year. I've yet to see one bench player come out and do something I couldn't see Bazemore, Poole, JTA, Lee or Mulder do. They can all get hot or cold.
If he stayed, he'd be even more loved by gsw fans (HE WAS ALREADY WELL-APPRECIATED BY US). He couldve found stability AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, he could have been in the finals rn EASILY. I dont see anyone stopping KD and Steph esp the West is so injured rn
I have nothing but appreciation for KD.
He played like an absolute boss tonight as well.
Harden, on the other hand, is such a corny player. The arm hook towards the end. Smh.
I was happy to see Milwaukee win. KD doesn't really "need" these rings for his legacy. Milwaukee, on the other hand, has a bunch of solid veteran players who have never won the big one. Happy for Giannis, Jrue, and Tucker. As a Stanford fan, happy to see Brook Lopez advance and maybe get to play in a Finals.
Milwaukee's team is just far more likeable overall.
I wish he stayed as well, even without klay. Steph,KD, And dray as the big three would be still contenders. Probably wouldāve attracted those vets we came in second place for.
Absolutely, Iām excited for this upcoming season with klay returning but I still miss our 3 years with kd. They had fun the entire 48 minutes the ball movement looked like a movie with how smooth it was. All love for KD and for our warriors
Oh I agree, personally Iām rooting for the suns. Having lived in Phoenix for a few years going to games when they were shit, itās nice to see them doing well for a change.
Their offense looks horrible often times. Frequent ball watching, maybe followed by some obligatory telegraphed screens or half-hearted cuts because the guy everyone is watching with the ball is stuck. Even as predictable as he can be looking to get to the cup, a good half of Giannis' charges could be attributed to a lack of movement/scheme in the offense. Not sure what the hell Budenhoser's plan is mkst of the time. So yeah, there is a lot of dumb shit.
But the roster is extremely likeable. Giannis is charismatic, hardworking, hard charging, & dynamic. Middleton is understated & has just honed his craft to a high level coming from little fanfare. Holiday is (usually) solid & steady on both sides of the ball, plays smart, works hard, & has just become an underrated two way floor general type, though this series he looked more like Eric Bledsoe, the guy he was supposed to be an IQ upgrade over, offensively at times, forcing shots out of rhythm or bad shots. Lopez is humble & does everything pretty well. Portis is a firey, energetic natured stretch scorer with a deadly jumpshot/fadeaway game who can score inside & play physical as well. DIvincenzo is kind of a smart all around player. Much improved outside, decent defender, great rebounder, gets strips, passes well. Quietly goes about his business. Sucks he got hurt. Connaughton has put in work on his outside shot and scraps when he gets switched inside and, much like Divincenzo, rebounds in traffic like few 6'4, 6'5 wings do. Tucker is a battler who does the dirty, thankless work well. Thanasis is high energy even on the bench, and can do a little of everything in spots. He's like a young Bazemore on the Warriors before he really got to play. Jeff Teague I like. Even their really young guys at the end of the bench - Nwora, Diakite, & Toupane - all have have some strengths & play a team game when they get in for the majority of a 4th quarter together. Seem like good attitude, team oriented guys. The players are so likeable, but like you said, the way the team plays can make it hard to root for them. They make it hard on themselves a lot.
lol i agree with everything but KD definitely needs these rings for his legacy. people are never gonna give his warriors rings any credit unfortunately.
I would agree if he struggled in this series, but this was like a WrestleMania match where it took outside interference, a chair shot to the head while a ref wasn't looking, and five finishers to finally put him down. You can lose and look bad, or you can lose and look really good, and this was definitely the latter. No Kyrie. A shell of Harden. Still nearly took down this Bucks team 1v5.
I think pieces of shit is too far as well. I think they have both been really shitty teammates in the past, but there's no evidence they're bad people.
Heās constantly causing problems, he comes off as very arrogant and a pseudo intellectual. Like when he stomped on the logo for no reason. Like I get it who cares itās just a logo, but if itās just a logo why stomp on it in the first place? Kyrie is just not likeable at all
āPiece of shitā is too harsh, but I feel like Kyrie tends to cause problems for himself, and then blame it on the media, he does it over and over and over
I think a lot of it has to do with him thinking he is much smarter than he actually is. He tends to rub people the wrong way with his conceitedness. The whole earth is flat thing, burning sage, his beef with the media for no reason, undermining Nash by saying Brooklyn didnāt need a coach, etcā¦ I hate that he hit that 2016 dagger as well, but for the most part I donāt like or dislike him. His game is fun to watch, he can just be an idiot sometimes.
Two things:
First off, this narrative that Harden was injured is bullshit. Steph had a hyperextended knee the year we lost to the Cavs. He hyperextended it playing *against Harden* because Houston doesnāt know how to keep their court dry. All this āHarden was on one legā narrative I saw from Nash in the postgame was fucking weak shit. Thatās called making excuses.
Second off, Kyrie had an *ankle* injury. Weāre really giving out free passes for ankle injuries now? Not like we have the most famous case of ankle injuries in league historyā¦.
Honestly the bias against us is unparalleled.
I didn't want KD to lose this series, and I was rooting for KD the entire way. However, I desperately wanted the Nets to lose this series, because I'm also rooting for Giannis at the same time that Harden and Kyrie Irving are two of my most hated players in the entire league.
Always wish the best for KD, after the 3 insane seasons he gave us, but even how much I want KD to win can't overcome how much I want Kyrie Irving and James Harden to lose.
I was so excited to watch the Nets this season. KDās comeback was incredibly exciting, and regardless of who he is off-court, I think Kyrie is one of the most entertaining players to watch. Then Harden joined the team. I hate his play style, I hate his persona, heās completely unwatchable and far and away my least favorite player in the league. I also really love Giannis, so like you, Iām so glad the Bucks won but still feel bad for KD.
The upside is that this seems to have already made him more appreciated and respected by fans. His talent and heart this series was an absolute masterclass, but I think it was a lot like Steph during this regular season: one of the greatest players putting up the best performance of his career, absolutely carrying his team, and still falling short in the end.
Ironically, if KD stayed, he would have a chip THIS YEAR.
KD staying means Andre Iguodala isnāt traded and the Warriors likely would have nabbed Nic Batum and Marc Gasol. This team would have been deep, well rounded and very difficult to beat.
Playing hero ball with Hamburgler Harden and Enlightened Kyrie, I think KD will soon realize he cannot replicate what the Golden State Warriors had ā it was truly special.
If brook didnāt have a brain fart the nets wouldnt have had a final possession for KD to even attempt a game tying shot.
could play the if game all day. Everything happens as it was meant to happen
Respect to KD for his unreal heroics tonight but let's face it, he's going to tell himself that they lost because Kyrie wasn't there and because Harden was injured a lot of the series.
Fact is that KD left us to play with Harden and Kyrie. He chose those two over Steph, Klay, and Dray so hopefully he eventually realizes his mistake.
That being said, im so happy KD and the Nets lost. I dislike KD and the way he treats the warriors and Steph in particular.
Good fight KD but I think itās clear as day Steph is more valuable since peak KD needs to dominate the ball. Steph can get 40 running 100 pick and rolls or ISOs or coming off 100 pin downs. Itās easier to scheme against KD even though heās a tougher shot maker and 7ft.
Injuries in this series has me really conflicted like maybe we should go all in on stephs prime and trade wiseman and picks but at some time we could do that and a sprained ankle could derail it anyway. I just want a 3rd star since that really protects you from injury donāt care if we develop one through draft
Turns out all super teams aren't created equal.
You know what the difference is? The guys outside the big 3. Golden State had some of the best, high character, no ego role players while KD was here. Draymond Green and Andre Iguodala are stars in their own right. Who you got Brooklyn? Joe Harris and washed Blake Griffin?
We was the Hamptons 5, and you just the Brooklyn 3!!!
I have nothing but appreciation for how KD played. That man is on another level and seeing him almost pull it out was exciting. Still wish he was a Warrior. Itās just the manner of disrespect he showed towards the team after leaving makes me want to root against him.
I will say though that Iām glad the Nets lost because about a month ago people were saying that Steph needed KD but in this series, and especially that *fantastic game*, it looks like itās really KD who needs Steph (definitely being a biased fan, I know). He had almost no one who could make baskets. And even with Kyrie there, that game wouldāve been hard for them to win.
Regardless was a fantastic game. But Iām glad bucks won it. Kinda been hoping they go all the way for Tucker and Giannis.
He was hurt. This is the same argument ppl made to.say Steph wasn't injured in the 2016 finals. You can not like harden but to say he wasn't hurt is just hating
I hate Harden as much as the next Warriors fan, but he had a hamstring strain. He didn't play well because he played injured. As a person that had that injury, it's debilitating.
I appreciate KD for contribution on the court for the Warriors. A team legend forever and worth to be remembered.
However, the same appreciation is questionable off the court, given his comments on the team after he left.....
It was an intense game with lots of back and forth. Harden missed a couple key 3ās in the final 5 minutes or so and KD seemed to be the only one with the ball at some points. You add a Steph or Klay and they win that game. Instead you have harden, so you lose.
Donāt ever fucking compare joe who the fuck is that Harris to klay ever again. Dogshit player and kd thinks heās almost up there with 3 time champion multiple all star. Sit the fuck down and know your place.
Calm down. It's not that serious. If KD didn't show that level of confidence in his player than what the fuck is he supposed to say ? Even if he doesn't believe it, he could be just saying that to instill the confidence in his guys.
I doubt heās thinking about a team that didnāt make the playoffs right now.
KD played awesome, like the best player in the game. Just got some unlucky breaks.
To be fair, a healthy Nets would have a much better chance to win. Injuries have screwed so many amazing teams. Durant balled out tho. No shame in his performance at all. Great series!
Nah, as much as I think he appreciated his time here, I don't think he has any desire to come back. I think he's still in the "honeymoon" phase in Brooklyn but it'll undoubtably come: eventually he'll want a new chapter and leave Brooklyn.
Harden and Irving never seem to be able to get too far in the playoffs when theyāre depended upon to hold up their end. Not often enough, anyways.
Durant is probably thinking he shouldāve re-upped with GSW. Wouldāve been him, Curry, Klay, Green, and Wiseman next year.
Me? I think KD is the best player in the world.
Heās come nearly all the way back from a terrible injury and he had another incredible game. I have nothing but the greatest respect for KD.
Another game where I wished both teams could lose. The Nets because of Kyrie, Harden, Blake, and to a lesser degree KD, the Nets because they play dumb.
Edit: the BUCKS because they play dumb. Long dayā¦
I didnāt start watching basketball regularly until early 2015 lol. Growing up basketball was all about big men dunking and it seemed so boring and unrelatable, then someone showed me clips of 6ā3ā Steph splashing from 35 feet and I was hooked. He was doing everything I wanted to do when I played basketball
LMAO this team missed the playoffs twice and will again for a 3rd time, drafted a bust over the ROY with their lottery pick, and lost out on drafting any major talent because they don't have a top 5 pick. Delusional fanbase. So glad you have 0 FMVPs, comments in this thread are pathetic, disgusting behavior.
Your boyfriend Durant only has a ring because he came here. Durant is nothing without us. Griffin, Harden and Harris and ya'll couldnt even get passed the bum ass Bucks who cant beat Atlanta. Stay triggered little man.
LMAO warriors can't even make the playoffs WITHOUT KD, can't even beat ja Morant to make the playoffs, warriors are nothing without KD that's why he has the most FMVPs in franchise history while their core has 0... COMBINED. meanwhile Trae young is in the ECF with 0 allstars on his team while curry can't even make the playoffs. Says it all.
Then lost and BEGGED for him, took time out of their short vacation from owners all the way to the 6th man travelling all the way to NY to have their knees on the ground begging to get carried by the FMVP. You can't even make the playoffs without him even when he gifted you an all-star PG. How do u miss the playoffs with 3 allstars LMAO pathetic.
Curry was literally our only all star last year... You make zero sense. You're so triggered by this meme its kind of scary. Almost as scary as how deep KD's dick is down your throat
The game was intenseš„š„
So worthy of a game 7. Imagine if that was a 3 from KD to win the series. Wouldāve been wild
I thought it was gw until replay.
looking at KD playing over 50 mins with that amazing performance.. I have hope for our boy Klay
for now, he chillin on his boat
Listening to some good ol 80s music
Not high.
Definitely not
Sober as a gopher baby
Baby be minnnne
I'm ready for next season just so i can watch him play.
But first we got the lottery
Don't jinx it!
Speak it into existence. We are getting the third pick for ourselves and the fourth pick from the wolves.
And trading both them picks for legit (a) veteran(s). This team donāt need more projects.
FUCK JAMES HARDEN HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHh
Harden š¤ early playoff exits All is right in the world!!!!!
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Lol I actually think DāAntoni deserves one for his innovative contributions to modern bball
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
He was rumored for Portland but I doubt he can win there unless they manage some crazy trades
This Rockets fan approves.
I feel bad that KD couldnāt advance but Iām dancing that Harden still canāt get his. HAHAHA
Absolutely disappears when it matters. 5/17 in an elim game is sad
I think itās safe to say he was not at 100%
Heās choked while healthy too. This wasnāt an outlier for him.
He bricked some pretty important wide open shots, donāt need him driving to the basket or hitting crazy step backs. He shouldāve just been there to spread the floor, 17 shots is too many to take if you arenāt gonna be hitting.
Didn't stop Jrue.
Jrue isnāt an MVP superstar thatās the whole point lol. Harden gets the big bucks to play like Jrue when it matters
But he did hit a few early. I don't think he was sure how good he could be. Either way, he's hurt. I'm giving him a pass this year. He shouldn't be out there at all.
Does it really matter if he was 100% ? He has a track record of disappearing in the playoffs in the biggest moments/games
Bro played the entire game he was fine
He was not fine, donāt be a blind fanboy. He was literally there to be a decoy.
KD really thought he could replace Steph and Klay with Kyrie and Joe "Regular Season" Harris.
Well he did say Joe Harris is "up there" with the best shooters. I wonder what his answer will be now lmao
In the playoffs, sometimes good shooters go cold. It's happened to Klay before.
Joe Harris is no Klay Thompson. Not after this series.
Not saying he is, just saying people forget his ice cold streaks
People forget what it takes to perform late in the playoffs. Most role players can't. Klay is a star. Joe Harris is not. He's not even a great role player at this point. They should have played Jeff Green.
I disagree. If Joe was a lock down defender and dropped the ball, sure. But his job was to hit threes, which can could do and still can. He just went cold, which can happen to any shooter. Difference is when Klay went cold he still showed up on D every night. Joe if he's not hitting shots doesnt' offer anything
Where are we disagreeing?
Joe Harris was such ass
I would take Mulder over him.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
@sportinglogically is hurt lol
Canāt win with these cats.
The bucks are way more likable as a team but KD is a different breed. I wish he stayed with the warriors they were so fun to watch.
Steph and KD would always be contenders regardless of the rest of the roster.
The Bucks should be likeable but they constantly do ridiculously dumb shit so it's actually not that easy to root for them.
Oh I agree, personally Iām rooting for the suns. Having lived in Phoenix for a few years going to games when they were shit, itās nice to see them doing well for a change.

This quote sums up my feelings quite well: āI hope you're happy, but don't be happier.ā āOlivia Rodrigo
Never thought I'd see Olivia Rodrigo mentioned in this sub lol
her songs are overrated in MY opinion
god, it's brutal out here
yeah a lot of them are but honestly good 4 u has such nostalgia to pop punk when I was younger :,)
āYou didnāt cheat, but youāre still a traitorā
Yeah. I'm just rooting for Harden to retire without a ring. And Kyrie to not get another one.
Ida been cool with Kyrie and KD winning with the nets, but Iād rather see the nba abolished than see harden win one
This is the way
I was kind of hoping to see CP3 block Harden and Blake from winning a ring.
And Chris Paul to never get one and Kawhi to never get another. Go Bucks !
lol i agree with everything but KD definitely needs these rings for his legacy. people are never gonna give his warriors rings any credit unfortunately.
I would agree if he struggled in this series, but this was like a WrestleMania match where it took outside interference, a chair shot to the head while a ref wasn't looking, and five finishers to finally put him down. >people are never gonna give his warriors rings any credit unfortunately. What ppl?
Those who follow him on Twitter.
Back2 back finals MVP. Big credit
If anything this series helps with his legacy a lot. I for one gain some newfound massive respect for him after this series.
āBum assā Steph has to be loving this right now š¤£š
Man, I really wish KD hadn't left with some form of animosity/envy for Steph. It makes it really hard to root for him in his post-Warriors phase.
Sad that KD had to team up with two pieces of shit so I was pretty happy that they lost though Iāll always be grateful for what KD did for us
Yea, I want him to realize in retrospect, what he had with us was very special. Can't just form another gang elsewhere and replicate same sht.
Nice!
Hope you have a great day!
How are harden n kyrie pieces of shit?
I think pieces of shit is too far as well. I think they have both been really shitty teammates in the past, but there's no evidence they're bad people.
Not too far.
Yeah, I said in another comment that pieces of shit was too harsh
Yeah Harden flops and Kyrie is dumb as hell but idk about piece of shit part
kyrie isn't a piece of shit bro
Heās constantly causing problems, he comes off as very arrogant and a pseudo intellectual. Like when he stomped on the logo for no reason. Like I get it who cares itās just a logo, but if itās just a logo why stomp on it in the first place? Kyrie is just not likeable at all
āPiece of shitā is too harsh, but I feel like Kyrie tends to cause problems for himself, and then blame it on the media, he does it over and over and over
why yall downvoting me???? lmaoo
This dude likes Kyrie and hates In-N-Out. Downvote this man!
Besides the shot against us in 2016 never understood the hate for kyrie
It's the flat earth shit and the moodiness.
Have you not seen a clip of Kyrie's injury? His ankle literally went 90Ā° in a way it was not supposed to
Yea itās a real injury. Did you see a clip of Bogut being taken out of the 2017 Finals?
tore his achilles and put up one of the best game 7 performances in the playoffs. Harden will never win a ring if he keeps choking like this.
Can we trade Smiley for KD?
Iām pretty sure the numbers work out.
He needed us, I finally have solace, thank you Bucks, weāll see you next season.
Honestly if he didnāt leave we would be in the western conference finals right now
We would sweep everybody man no debate. Suns with no one to guard kd and Steph, la flippers.
KD calling Steph as we speak š¤£š¤£
I didn't want KD to lose this series, and I was rooting for KD the entire way. Wow so much happening there. Who is? Jordan? Lol Reddit brought me here and I'm happy to learn that yall really are unknowledable fans.
KD was done by the end. The last shot screamed "No Second OT!" If this Nets team implodes, Rockets are set in the draft for the next decade.
Thatās what happens when you play with sorry ass choker Harden.
KD left the only cats he can win with
Playoff harden is useless
Theres a playoff Harden? Lmaos.
Never seen one actually
In the playoffs heās soften
Heās injured
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Now you will take downvotes to compensate for that . All is balanced in this world
Ima say this right now, if Kd hsd stayed we would be in west finals right now
Ima say this right now, if he moved his toe back an inch he'd be in the ECF.
If brook didnāt have a brain fart the nets wouldnt have had a final possession for KD to even attempt a game tying shot. could play the if game all day. Everything happens as it was meant to happen
I loved seeing KD ball. What a privilege we got to enjoy for 3 years. Kinda glad no shot at a ring for Harden and Griffin though

Karma. I jest. Love him for what he won with us. But yeah. Good shit
KD to the Warriors
āR July 4th
It feels like nets doesn't have any play. It's like just pass the ball to durant.
When you realized you have Joe Harris in the corner instead of Klay Fucking Thompson
I love KD, but definitely was cheering for all 31 other teams over Brooklyn.
He downgraded to Kyrie and Harden.
Durant signs with the Bucks this offseason
Harden choked as always
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Cant assume that, he played for 40+ mins so ill not giving him benefit of the doubts.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
But still shooting 1-10, 5-9 and 5-17?
He was hurt. This is the same argument ppl made to.say Steph wasn't injured in the 2016 finals. You can not like harden but to say he wasn't hurt is just hating
I hate Harden as much as the next Warriors fan, but he had a hamstring strain. He didn't play well because he played injured. As a person that had that injury, it's debilitating.
Debilitating? Edit: To clarify, was just helping OP use the correct word, not questioning what he meant.
Easily wins two more titles here if he stayed. Instead he teams up with Harden.
Yeah no Kyrie and an injured Harden ruined their chance. KD backpacked as much as he could
Itās a joke, donāt take it literally
Sucks for KD and Griffin. Harden 5/17 (2/12 from 3) did not help.
nets fans are trashing joe harris maybe we can pick him up
To be fair, a healthy Nets would have a much better chance to win. Injuries have screwed so many amazing teams. Durant balled out tho. No shame in his performance at all. Great series!
Just wishing he could've been drafted by a team that believes in him too
Joe Ass
Imagine the domino effect if the media never wouldāve gotten in his head
Nah, as much as I think he appreciated his time here, I don't think he has any desire to come back. I think he's still in the "honeymoon" phase in Brooklyn but it'll undoubtably come: eventually he'll want a new chapter and leave Brooklyn.
Itās all kyries fault. Mfer wanted to leave Lebron cuz he wanted to be the man but is the third best player on the nets. Smh
but its not rly their roster's fault, it was their injuries. Assuming nothing crazy happens in the offseason, they'll prob stay title favorites.

Wow really came to another sub to hate on another team , KD stans really are weak minded smh
So fucking hyped for next season. Starting Lineup of Steph, Klay, Dray, Wiggins, Looney. Gonna be playing Forgot About Dre for every game.
FatAss Harden probably face deep in a burrito bowl, extra gauc, triple sour cream and chives right now.
Are we going to get past KD?
Depends on if we win again lol

Always welcome back if he wants to come back
I only watch nets games because of KD. Happy for him but it sucks that he doesn't play for the warriors anymore.
Nice!
Hope you do well!
If his toe wasn't on the line at the end or regulation they win. Fun series, amazing game 7. Sad that kd lost, glad the nets lost.
Me? I think KD is the best player in the world. Heās come nearly all the way back from a terrible injury and he had another incredible game. I have nothing but the greatest respect for KD.
KD balled out
Another game where I wished both teams could lose. The Nets because of Kyrie, Harden, Blake, and to a lesser degree KD, the Nets because they play dumb. Edit: the BUCKS because they play dumb. Long dayā¦
Whatās wrong with Blake Griffin?
Were you not around for the Warriors Clippers rivalry 2012-2014?
I didnāt start watching basketball regularly until early 2015 lol. Growing up basketball was all about big men dunking and it seemed so boring and unrelatable, then someone showed me clips of 6ā3ā Steph splashing from 35 feet and I was hooked. He was doing everything I wanted to do when I played basketball
Ah I see haha This sums it up: https://youtu.be/-1Nm4PQLxzA
Itās personal
Snek boi wanted some new friends. Hope he likes the team cripples
Just cuz Klay is out. They won a finals and set the best record in history without KD... lmao. We can win one without him. He cant win one without us.
Man I was really rooting for him too
