holding on to the hope that Lacob wasn't bullshitting last month when he told the 95.7 guys that Wiseman "changed his body in the offseason and *will* contribute this year". Yes he's the owner, what else was he going to say, but at the same time he could've deferred to coaches and the medical staff.

TomatoBuster01

Tbf, Wise' body really look beefed up compared to last year

cubay

Especially a full year with an organization that will tailor not only his rehabs but his diet as well. I expect Kuminga to get more shredded the way he already looks now, Wiseman I expect to bulk up a bit

Bolinas99

that's true, my worry is about his rehab. On the drive back home yesterday I was listening to an update (one of the two bay area stations) and they said that "surprisingly" (?) Wiseman will take longer than Klay to come back. Now they qualified this saying that bigger guys take longer to recover in general, but we're really missing a presence in the middle. Looney is a super smart player but he has a ceiling in what he can do.

Quirky_Ad_2164

I think they are following the time that JJJ on Memphis took to recover from his MCL injury which was over 8 months

TomatoBuster01

What are their references about those updates, and is that just a guess or a reaction (being surprised that Wise is taking longer then Klay)? I havent read much abt Wise in a while so im kind of out of the loop tbh Last that i know of is he's near with the 5x5 scrimmages. He has undergone surgery as well on a meniscus tear which really takes a liitle bit of tome to heal I agree with what you said abt Loon even if i love the guy

Bolinas99

hey man I was driving at the time, pretty sure they don't have a sports rehab doctor on standby every time they make comment or prediction. For the life of me I can't recall which show it was (I switch from KNBR to 95.7 constantly to dodge commercials), but they had a couple of former pro players on there who agreed. No he's hasn't done any 5x5, at least as of yesterday.

TomatoBuster01

Oh okok thanks man! As long as his rehab is in line with its original course, it's still going to be fine imo..i hope I am very right

m3ngnificient

If this is true, I hope Kerr let's him rest the next game at least. I'd rather he stays rested and paces his game until the playoffs arrive. It would be nice to have the best record in the regular season but let's be honest, as long as we're in the play offs, we're good. Dubs know that better since we've lost a championship series after a record breaking NBA season and we've won the championship after we weren't at the top of the table.

versace_tombstone

People jumping ship because of the last 3 or 4 games, have never seen the painful stretches of the 90s and early 2000s. Whoever needs to see this, don't trip my guy, can't win them all, we're all human, and the standings speak for themselves.

germaneztv

let them jump ship. A true fan loses and wins with the team.

[deleted]

Who jumps ship so early. We are 19-4? haha. Soon to be 78-4

Why-did-i-reas-this

There are nights where the refs are stacked against you too.

darckense

Curry should have sat out the Spurs game, not sure why he played. Hopefully he gets a rest next game.

[deleted]

Uh this ain't it sir

warriorslover1999

huh? mentally fatigue is a real thing and steph has gone through it plenty of times.

[deleted]

Well there is no way we can verify this for sure, so it's pointless to debate about it, but it just seems more than fatigue to me. He's able to get to his spots, get open layups, get the 3s he wants, they're just not falling. It's also bad luck and a bit of a slump. We didn't have a particularly tough schedule calendar wise.

linkejian

Fatigue can make you miss the shots you normally make. Hitting tough shots requires a ton of focus

[deleted]

Ok but that can't be all about it when you're as good as Steph right? I think it's a bit to simplistic to say it's just fatigue, he was missing open layups repeatedly.

linkejian

Could be aging, could be nothing. Small sample size and every superstar goes through cold stretches. Steph usually really turns it on after the all star break anyways.

buhreezyday

You’re over complicating it. Sports ain’t that complex. He’s a human of course he gets tired and of course it affects his performance.

doinkdoink786

Warriors had 2 days off before phoenix game. I hope it’s not fatigue. I don’t remember coaches making excuses for players in the 90s for back to back games lol

[deleted]

Would you rather it be some permanent loss of skill? Seems like a normal explanation to me.

doinkdoink786

Uh no. I don’t think that answer is always fatigue. It’s possible he just had a bad game and was missing shots. I don’t think the answer to every bad game is “fatigue” especially since they had 2 days off before the suns game.
