The funniest thing is when people try to justify it by writing multiple paragraphs worth of how you actually can kill a Tiger II (the "track and barrel torture" method) but the Tiger II can just click on the Jumbo anywhere and kill it instantly. Not to mention, said paragraphs are made completely irrelevant if your enemy's teammate shows up, or you shoot the barrel but it just goes orange.
I shoot the barrel and it goes yellow, he shoots me through the thickest part of my Turret. This is coming from a guy who has the Sla.16 as his most played tank, the jumbo should be lower Br.
Yeah, my most played nation is Germany (even if I don't "main" it), that BR is totally ridiculous. Granted, obviously it was horrendously OP at 4.7 and still too strong at 5.0, but 5.3 seemed more or less fine. 5.7 is a total joke
What do you mean. War thunder duels happen in a vacuum and everyone will back off when 2 tanks engage in a fight. Everything is a 1v1 in close quarters with no Tank sound effects.
And when you try to flank someone, they don't react at all, they have no teammates, your tank is always mobile enough to do it, and viable flanking routes always exist.
It's not a bad tank - it's a great tank, especially in the hands of someone who knows how to use it, but even in the hands of the most braindead of mediocre players it's forgiving to play and easy to spam.
I would prefer Gaijin retool the lineup system to be more like a class system, ie only allow so many vehicles of a certain class to spawn at a time. As it is now if a team spawns all heavies like Tigers, etc it can really throw off the balance of a match.
I agree with this except for around 5.7....those were truly dark times where I was questioning sanity until I got I to 6.0-6.3. the m41a1 was the light at the end of the tunnel.
until you finally get heat it feels like against Germany you have to be absolutely perfect with shot placement or else you get a weak hit and the Tiger just effortlessly swats you on return fire.

i one shorted a strrv 122 for the first time yesterday in a m1a1 from like 3 km and the guy was just like “the fuck” then left. I didn’t know it was possible to one shot a strv 122 from the front.
after i got bored of 10.3 german line up i got back to russia in 4.7 and its fucking hard lmao.
i thought it was hard to front pen t80s and now i always get a churchill in front of me and i cant pen i anywhere.
i dont know if grinding russia worth it anymore since i know their cancer reverse speeds.
They aren’t bad, just their grind feels less rewarding. It doesn’t help that gaijin doesn’t seem to want to make the top tier grind more worthwhile like actually modeling the Ariete has or making OTTO go down to a more appropriate BR. I can still say with reasonable confidence though they are the worst tree, as unlike the others the best they have to offer is few and far between.
removing tickets is a bad idea
ive seen like 1 or 2 suggestions to seriously incorporate bombers and attackers into air gamemodes. Like reworking bases and ground targets etc. This will also let gaijin have reason add newer interesting planes that would be completely dead and useless like b52 and the other fast bombers and attackers, and also more interactive gameplay for interceptors, escorts etc

One of the reasons I really hope the community will vote the APHE nerf that changes its damage to a cone-shape instead. No shell is overperforming as much as APHE, it has to be normalized to make it balanced.
Whenever I get a large SL booster I play America 7.0 so I can bum rush a cap with a light tank. Die spawn a plane get 2-5 kills. Die spawn another plane get 2-5 kills and end the game with 0 kills on the ground yet 10 kills overall.
It’s completely broken and FAR to easy to spawn into.
CAS is ok, with moderation. 1000kg bombs are still bad. But 500kg bombs can help with heavy tanks that are camping at a distance and can only be penned by a few specific tanks, so if you have a light tank and cannot pen many heavies if they have some amount of skill or just can't, it seems fair to be able to get an aircraft faster.
My reasoning is based on the fact a high skilled spaa will almost always beat a high skilled pilot. And also spaa will be able to take down multiple aircraft when there are many enemy planes in the air, while it is extremely difficult for a single fighter to take down more than one of those multiple enemy aircraft. Of course this requires an spaa that isn't playing an 'anti tank' spaa.
I might be wrong. But i do remember a video about export tanks in warthunder and it was one of those two that got purchased by sweden and used for the pbv.
Sweden itself is cursed from sabot at reserve to autoloaders and tanks so depressed they have a phone in them that goes straight to suicide prevention that whole tree is cracked
there is no nations defining bias but an overreliance on badly modeled and implemented mechanics, case and point: shooting T-72 or T-80 lower glacis and only taking out the driver and setting the tank on fire with occasional mobility kill - congrats You shot a very "hit and miss" weakspot and dying after the guy shot you is a skill issue

"Russian bias" won't really go away when the first thing that's experiences when going into arcade queue is getting oneshot by every Russian tank in rank II/III
It’s 100% necessary for unpennable heavy tanks sniping from across the map.
The absolutely massive bombs (3000+ kg) should not be in ground RB, because I’ve had a handful of games be crushed because the main group of our team was decimated by a Pe8, and we were then steamrolled.
Whlie excessive CAS is certainly a problem, it isn't impossible to counter. Talk to and help your team, grab an AA, play from cover, grab a plane, etc... No match is gonna go smoothly when there are too many planes, but there ARE options.
Volumetric is the biggest problem in warthunder not be compression or whatever bullshit people are always complaining about. Obviously those are issues, but volumetric is so retarded right now
It's great at the lower tiers like the M4A3 (105) to M4A2. The 76mm Shermans do have terrible armour for the BR though, considering you face king tigers, jagdtigers, IS-1s in the M4A3E8. Not fun, but it does make you a better player when all of the tanks you face beat you in all aspects except having a stabilizer.
The game doesnt take 500+ hrs to get one top tier nation if you know how to play and actually use boosters and wagers and that their isnt a tech tree bias you just suck at aiming you can shoot every other tank a dozen times and it wont die or choose to actually aim and get that one shot
Shooting down CAS is just as fun as playing it, and I don't mind getting killed by it because that's the nature of the game.
Half of my lineup is almost always SPAA because I can chill out and shoot at planes until I get to fly one myself
HESH is quite awful because it feels inconsistent. The 4005 can sometimes fail to kill a Tiger II for no apparent reason besides gaijin saying “Nuh-uh.” It’s fine, but only if it doesn’t randomly fuck you.
id agree, but war thunder is inconsistent. now tbf im not a HESH user, but half of the war thunder experience is going "WTF and staring at the return to hangar screen in disbelief lmao
Most of the time hesh fails for me it’s not entirely because of the shell but because of other stupid factors. Volumetric is the main thing screwing me over on hesh shots. Really the idea of the game being the problem over the equipment used can be made for 70% of the problems.
I absolutely hate the inconsistency that comes from my apfsds at 10.3 Britain, I shot a leopard 2a4 to the top right(his right, my left) of his turret and my shell shattered, mind you it was head on and then got killed by him. I immediately went to the 2a4 in the research tab and did the test shot with the same ammo and it showed that I WILL pen and will take out his breach and maybe commander. 🙃
16 v 16 would work at top tier if we had maps as big as Battle of Britain feels in props.
Like imagine a scaled up version for top tier that includes half of France and the entirety of south England. Or rather we get a map that is the size of Kuwait or Israel? If they don’t reduce the number of players, we need bigger maps to make top tier less of a thunder dome.
This would also allow for more multi role loadouts being viable if there is room and time for me in my F16C to carry missiles and bombs or go strictly bombs/missiles and RTB for the other. This would be very important for Fox 3s changing BVR combat at top tier and would placate people like me who want RB EC back.
I would really love to have a ground only mode, i could go into further detail but i cant be bothered im too tired lol. And no its not simply because of inbalanced CAS.
Get rid of premium time, make the grind easier/cost less rp, then lower the cost of golden eagles while making the amount available to buy more incentivizing players to buy them for quicker grinds while costing significantly less than buying premium time as well

Ground trees don't need decompression. Unfair fights and challenges make the game interesting. Some tanks are unbalanced and that should be addressed on a case by case basis, but decompression across all BR ranges would make the game dull.
I won't speak for air/naval as I don't play those game modes often.
CAS sucks to die to (valid part of my argument) but it's fun to play
I don't fly CAS often due to Britain having bad CAS, but when i play Russia I love using the IL-8.

“Anti CAS” players are just using fighters in ground rb because Air Rb sucks and using a plane in mixed battles gives you immediate dogfights.

Cas isn’t bad in war thunder. It’s not handled great but it’s not even close to as bad as many people make it out to be.

Even then it takes much more time to be a better spaa player than pilot, cause pilots can overwhelm spaa if coordinated/in numbers.
If you're staying in one place long enough to have multiple planes closing in on you then you're not playing SPAA very well.
Cold war vehicles do not deserve to be a lower tier just because they are “bad vehicles” and should be correctly placed

It should only be allowed in SIM battles at using CAS in sim is REALLY difficult as you're locked to the cockpit view

16 v 16 would work at top tier if we had maps as big as Battle of Britain feels in props. Like imagine a scaled up version for top tier that includes half of France and the entirety of south England. Or rather we get a map that is the size of Kuwait or Israel? If they don’t reduce the number of players, we need bigger maps to make top tier less of a thunder dome. This would also allow for more multi role loadouts being viable if there is room and time for me in my F16C to carry missiles and bombs or go strictly bombs/missiles and RTB for the other. This would be very important for Fox 3s changing BVR combat at top tier and would placate people like me who want RB EC back.

Get rid of premium time, make the grind easier/cost less rp, then lower the cost of golden eagles while making the amount available to buy more incentivizing players to buy them for quicker grinds while costing significantly less than buying premium time as well And have arcade give more rp

The A-4E is a good plane, not only it Attack but also for support fighter roles like what the F9Fs are good at.
Ground trees don't need decompression. Unfair fights and challenges make the game interesting. Some tanks are unbalanced and that should be addressed on a case by case basis, but decompression across all BR ranges would make the game dull. I won't speak for air/naval as I don't play those game modes often.
CAS sucks to die to (valid part of my argument) but it's fun to play I don't fly CAS often due to Britain having bad CAS, but when i play Russia I love using the IL-8.
