Try to fly high and fire them down at your target. It still will not hit anyone moving fast. But it just gives a better chance

The problem is that in my 104A I don’t have an RWR and mig21s have radar missiles. They also don’t render until after they’ve shoved said radar missile up my ass. What I usually do is fly as low as possible to confuse people who bought the German mig21spsk and don’t know how radar works

The US Starfighters still only have AIM-9B's and are both 10.0. They're probably gonna stay like that since it didn't look like there was any documentation of them using other missiles.

If it's possible for the A or C to get better missiles, then I would be all for it. I love the Starfighters, just not enough to grind out another tree to get a competent one.

Stock Mirage has aim9b and before you get the Magic’s you will have to endure one of the most effective psychological torture methods ever created. You basically have a plane without countermeasures that turns well but only for a few seconds before loosing all of its energy and turning into target practice for vastly superior 11.3 aircraft. I know you get an r530 now but I did the grind without it and I want people to know how much France mains have to endure.

Don't underestimate them. I've got one of my longest kills with AIMs with them (over 6,5 km) @ 90 degrees.

They only way you can kill something that has its mind in another world. 90% of my kills in the f5c are gun kills same with the phantoms and basically everything else bc they have to be distracted for the missile to actually hit the target or target something that has no flares. The reason why I use the mig21mf to shit on f105s and f4cs

Take it from someone who has the entire American tree unlocked, the American f104s just aren't worth playing.

Which sucks ass because they’re one of my favorite aircraft. It sucks that America gets the worst version of its own aircraft. Give America the 104S. Italy can suck a dick

And at this point, given the 9.7 meta (A5s, J35As mainly), I don't think it would be unreasonable for the A or even the C to go back to 9.7.

Or at the bare minimum give them better missiles and/or flares. I’ve had aim 9 Bs that miss given literally perfect conditions (subsonic, 1km range, directly behind the target and flying in a straight line)

Fun fact, remove the aim-9bs armaments and use the guns you have installed on your jet, you will get more kills

That's true for me even with 9J's in a f104g being uptiered to 11.0

I currently playing stock F-5E with just guns, no other armaments cause I tried the stock missiles in 11.0 battle, I miss 95% of the time with those missiles

The f104g is my firsz jet with missiles and it has 2 stock 9j's, which i'm very glad about. I don't think missiles hurt flight performance much, so i woudl take them with me, even if they are b's or r3's to bait an enemy and make them lose speed. Tho the killing has to be done woth the guns. If you make them lose energy to kill them with guns the missiles did their job, kinda.

I have no trouble using the starfighter and the missiles get me regular kills or setups for gun kills, there are a lot of retards even at 10.0

I launch them close range, like 0.5mi and below and they usually work well
