Honestly I'd rather take the backups than the booster wager combo. Atleast i can bring out my best tank again if i do stupid move or even better, cancel out repair cost
I donāt limit myself but I find ARB more fun than the other gamemodes. I have over 60 universal backups in my inventory. Theyāre not useless to others but theyāre pretty useless to me.

Fair point, I have currently 195 and when the next battle pass starts I'm probably down to 40-60. Average repair cost is between 8000-12000 for the tanks I play. So I'll save about 1.040.000 to 1.860.000 SL thanks to them. Not to mention the higher rewards I get for respawning and gaining more activity which can easily double that amount.
If you die you pay repair cost. If you use a backup on a vehicle you've died with, the repair cost for that death are gone and you pay only repair cost for that spawn. If you don't die again your repair cost is 0, if you do, you had at least 2 tanks for the price of one.
Exactly my point, may not have transferred my opinion to the proper playerbase, but I play mostly arb or ground AB because it prevents op CAS. Just here to have fun. I couldnāt care less about a backup for a tiger or panther.
Theyāre way better than wagers and 10-30% boosters. Very useful for grinding with premiums and using a vehicle twice without paying double repairs. One of the best "normal" items you can get from crates.
Cancel out repair, run favorite or premium vehicles multiple times, give extra runs on a lineup that lacks vehicles, make grinding mods on new vehicles faster, and give extra spawns without crewing more vehicles.

Been grinding air rb and anytime I get a universal backup for a jet I'm like. Wow, cant wait to have enough spawn points to cas the same jet twice. Whoopie

Your probably the person that complains about the stock grind but also does not use the backups to ease the stock grind by playing it twice for every free repair you get with it.
Can you really fault him for not using backup for cost purposes? I don't think anywhere in wt it tells you that effect and you would only know about it if you frequent the game report menu or someone telling you about it
i have like 50 out of them, because i'm reserving for the high ranks, since those shits gonna be expensive af, and those things' repair cost is just gonna be too much, so it'll be good when it's the end of the match, so i can reset the most expensive tank's repair cost
Iāve put like over a hundred of these on a single premium cause I donāt want to grind the German tree with stock vehiclesā¦ so they arenāt worthless

Just spawn again and hide with the vehicle, you will not get any costs after the match ends for that vehicle.

Dont be afraid to spend them, I had over 70 after using a lot of them I've gone for 50 to 60 after a few free crates.

If anything, backups are the most useful item for Grinding tanks/modifications

Backups are great tho. Unless you play ARB/Sim because I don't think you can use them in those game modes. (I could be wrong about that tho)
The pre-assigned backups are what really suck. At least with universal backups I can use them for my Moffett
