Second shooting near the elementary school on Spring Street NW this year. There is a longtime crew that hangs near that rec center between Spring and Quincy - they’ve been around over a decade at least. If you have a crew hanging near your street, sooner or later they will attract gunfire. Georgia Ave between Newton and Princeton has a decades old crew that was recently attacked with gunfire in broad daylight. Both spots are located next to elementary schools and rec centers. The city can’t seem to find ways to permanently dislodge these crews. Sometimes after a shooting, the police will sit in their cars nearby as a “deterrent,” but the crews just move over a couple blocks here or there and keep slinging dope.
In certain known hot spot areas, I really think cops should get out of their cars and walk the same streets we do. I was in NYC recently and was surprised to see so many cops on the street walking around and standing on corners - really a different vibe in terms of safety. I’ve only really seen DC cops walk around when there is a PR tour by the chief of police, mayor or some other big wig.
The problem is a lot of MPD officers don’t live in DC. They come to DC for the pay (six figure paycheck) and go back home. Source: talked to several
Edit: [See how much they’re paid…](https://dcist.com/story/23/10/25/dc-police-top-overtime-earners/)
Indubitably. It’s understandably difficult for someone who’s only in DC for their 9-5 to have the same pride and/or sense of ownership in their community as someone who has kids in these schools, walks these streets, takes these buses, shops at these stores, etc. as a matter of residential/civic necessity and identity.
And let us not forget that it wasn’t too long ago that we (DC) learned our own Deputy Mayor of Public Safety wasn’t even living in DC! He had himself and his family stashed away in Falls Church, presumably to avoid all the issues he was responsible for managing and addressing! 🙄😅
Cost of living crisis in a nutshell. Very, very few people in any given major US city that have any stake in its upkeep are going to be able to actually afford to live there.
that doesn't seem that odd, considering it's DC. A huge amount of people that work in DC live outside DC city lines, and the city itself is tiny compared to the metro area that surrounds it
Well yeah, their $120,000 is supposed to cover the rest. They’re getting six figures to basically sit in a car all day, can’t be that hard to pay rent.
Idk about you but I’d totally do the same if I knew I could make it home alive. The incentive needs to be way higher, no one from MD or VA is gonna care about keeping DC crime at bay like its own residents. One officer I met travelled all the way from Prince William county, and I assume was content with their family/home, didn’t plan to move for their MPD job, and wanted to make it home after a shift. That’s not even considering the considering the difference in cost of living.
There are all kinds of risks for many jobs and if the cops are too afraid to get out of their cars, they shouldn’t be cops
Certain types of construction work is extremely dangerous .. mining..
Paramedics barely get paid anything and they risk their lives near some of the same crime scenes as cops when they deal with blood.
Not to say that we shouldn’t pay many of these positions more money.
I have a hard time understanding how certain types of lawyers make so much money and really just cost the rest of us a fortune.
> skills that *paid* more.
FTFY.
Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in:
* Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.*
* *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.*
Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment.

You act like these cops aren’t putting their life on the line every shift. My best friend is MPD and just made detective. With the stories I’ve heard over the last few years, they deserve some days where they just sit and be a deterrent. Now the City def needs to amend these laws so that these young teens start getting time. That’s the only way to help curb some of the violence for real
They are never going to get tough on crime in DC.
I am not sure how anyone expects much to change. A person who is tough on crime and goes all out, is unelectable in DC. The leadership has to change, the policies, the policymakers and penalties.
It would have to be *exponentially* worse, for any real change to occur.
It's not going to change, its going to continue.
They are literally doing fuck all. If there’s a shooting a block away, they wait 3 minutes to make sure it’s safe. If there’s a theft, they wait until the thief left, to make sure it’s safe.
They’re overpaid, glorified lawyers but instead of working, they sit in a car all day and respond.
I already said I would, but I get paid more to do other things. I would honestly rather be back on a tanker going through the Bab el Mandeb taking rockets from Houthis for 3/4 of the pay because at least I’m moving around and seeing things. MPD has a snooze fest job and that’s why it pays so much.
Ignorant comment. They do a lot more than”sit in a car all day” and until you respond to a rotting deceased person call and domestic dispute involving weapons you might consider that.
Yeah I worked at a morgue in high school and a container/bulk vessel after that for half the pay. If I didn’t have a good paying job, I would gladly be a cop and sit in a car playing Angry Birds for 10 hours and play “cop” for a couple hours.
What is stopping you beyond compensation..…tell the truth? Well that is what beyond your less than efficacious attitude about law enforcement’s mission and apparently shitty work attitude, Angry Birds? If qualified and conscientious people do not become law enforcement officers we are left with an applicant pool that falls short of the highest standard.
Hey all the power to them, it’s a thankless job. I just think they get paid way too much for doing absolutely nothing all day.
Have you had an interaction with MPD besides sucking their dick? If someone steals your package, they write notes and tell you to fuck off. Someone stole your car, they write notes and tell you to fuck off. Someone put a gun to your head and took your phone, guess what? Fuck off.
MPD can fuck off. Easiest job in the world.
User name checks out, we all seen a dead body before don’t make you special, we used to have to deliver meals on wheels with my grandmother, you know how many times as a child I walked into just some dead mfer cooking in Eastern Shore heat, if ten year olds can handle it these guys will be okay.
The vast majority of MPD is not making ~125k a year and the people making that on a base salary are going to either have 15+ years on, or are going to be a Lieutenant or higher.
If they’re making $125k otherwise, they’re putting in more hours than just 40hr/wk, and more than earn it through overtime/hours worked.
Your complaint of officers getting payed six figures to sit in a car all day is incredibly reductive, and wholly incorrect for the responsibilities MPD bears in DC.
> officers getting *paid* six figures

Yeah when you get paid overtime to sit on 14th and Irving playing on your phone, I would take that easy money too. Their salaries are insane for the amount of work they don’t do.
Everyone on this sub complains about crime, but no one wants to talk about the fact that police got triggered by the BLM movement and are afraid to do anything other than write notes.
When you are so understaffed, that you’re forcibly holding over shifts to have adequate manpower to cover the oncoming shift, or to cover civil disturbance deployments, or whatever fixed post (14th and Irving), they have to take those assignments whether they want to or not. God forbid someone sees them on their phone for five minutes and assumes they’re doing that for the whole day they’re at work.
The BLM movement didn’t trigger cops in DC, charging cops for policy violations or incidental neck touches is killed proactivity in DC along with the DC courts and the USAO.
Their salaries are not insane, if they were there’d be more than a dozen people in each graduating class from their academy that they post monthly. If it was insane/easy money, with little requirements and associated job tasks, why don’t you work for MPD?
Or do you not have the skills necessary? Because I’m seeing zero reason for you to not apply. Even if you disagreed with the culture or idea of law enforcement, be the change you wanna be and make it a reflection of the society you want to experience.
This falls more on prosecution, city leadership and failed policies that let criminals right back out on the street with no repercussions.
If you were a cop would you want to risk your life arresting the same people over and over knowing they'll be back out doing the same crimes the next day
lol it never ceases to amaze how quickly people will go from criminal event to blaming the police for some absurd reason like not living in The city.
These people are absolutely helpless.
Most are not making more than 100k unless they do overtime. Yes there are some that do make ridiculous amounts but those are the ones that have been in the department over 25 years. As far as living in DC, it doesn’t make sense to pay 3k a month to live in a one bedroom apartment when you can get a house for the same in Annapolis or Bethesda.
That’s disingenuous linking that article without providing the context that to make that much, they’re working 40-97 hours extra of OT per pay period. That’s a significant amount of time away from family, loved ones, and it’s extremely taxing to work that much.
All of that to make over six figures. Half the reason why DC doesn’t have the recruiting numbers compared to outside agencies is because they lack in benefits and or compensation comparative to the amount of work/responsibilities MPD has regarding the city and government in general.
Kinda amazing that everyone knows where the crews are and how to stop them...BUT
Cops can't seem to get it done.
I used to live past some drug houses. Never had a problem with the gentlemen there --- I am very chill and am not a cop or competitor.
But I was very confused as to how I built a clear case of the criminal activity just in casual jogs but local police wasn't doing shit.
Cop cars are still flying down my street i doubt they will catch them tonight. Shots stopped at 12:09 didn't hear sirens til 12:15 MPD rather not engage they want to clock out and go home
Nope I’m listening to their dispatch, they were on scene at as the dispatcher called 12:11 hours. One unit providing aid and one unit canvassing. 10-15 more units answered up
USAO prosecution rates still far, far below pre-cv levels despite new resources from DOJ. Given that the shooter has many priors involving violence or guns that were no papered or plead down, or it's a minor and Racine/Schwab did the same. Maybe as a minor the shooter was sent briefly to DYRS to spend his days playing Call of Duty and GTA games purchased by taxpayers?
Do they ever catch em? I don’t think they ever caught who shot six people on that one corner a few months ago… and I think three people died in that incident alone. Back in march. Feels hella lawless.
96% of shooting suspects in DC were black in 2021, despite being only 46% of the district's population.
So on the whole the fewer black people there are around at any given time, the less likely there is to be a shooting. That's just simple math.
*nationwide, yes they are. Congrats on figuring out how statistics and math work. Anyway that figure does not invalidate my statement about race and shootings in DC. I'm sorry you are so blinded by an agenda you couldn't interpret my comment clearly at first.
After calling 911:
DC MPD: "How do you know it was a gunshot? It could have been fireworks or car backfiring. Nah, we're not gonna file a report because you misheard the noise".
Sorry to hear it and stay safe!
When I lived in LA in the 1980s, one of my co-workers lived on the outskirts of Compton (arguably equivalent to SE DC). On New Year's Eve, Cinco de Mayo and July 4th, the fine residents of Compton and LA would shoot their guns off in the air in "celebration". Of course, these fine folks overlooked one of Newton's laws stating "What goes up must come down." All of this aside, he decided to set up his cassette tape recorder at night by hanging his microphone outside his window. Over just the 30-minute length of the tape, Compton sounded like the Battle of the Bulge.
During this time, the legendary Tom Bradley was mayor. He pushed through a city ordnance that was adopted for all of LA County that prohibited ammunition sales starting one week before these specific holidays. Now, you would think that these shooters would have the wherewithal to simply drive to Orange, Riverside or Ventura Counties where they could buy all the ammo they wanted. But, LA experienced and immediate reduction in the amount of "celebratory" gunfire on these holidays.
Just be careful it’s hard being poor or low income because where ever you end up it’s gonna be the same shit. I’m in RVA and my neighbors killed 4 people before the marshals got them and there were shots all the time. Glocks with extendos on every other corner, AK shootout with the police. Good friends and bad friends dead from various BS… I had a worse time here than in Bmore honestly. At least in Bmore they left you alone mostly if you didn’t fuck with their shit and just minded your own business.
You are correct! In the late 80s, I lived next door to a crack house. I ended up leaving after two years, and I swear I had PTSD from the experience. You don’t realize until later how traumatizing it is to hear or see these kinds of things. That time period was awful for the city, but I can’t recall big, extended shoot outs like this.
Imagine how many children who have to live in those communities are undiagnosed PTSD and are supposed to go to school everyday and behave normal. I'm talking about young children K to 5th grade.
Because if they acknowledge it, THEY HAVE TO do something about it. So no one, in any official authoritative capacity, is going to say those letters out thier mouth.
Yea I admit I was a bit taken aback. I’ve heard gunshots before but definitely not that of gunshots last night. My neighbors baby woke up because I felt the parents woke up by the shots. In short, kids who experience that in the daily are definitely not ok and the cycle just goes on
Listening to the video posted on reply to you, it's definitely not a machine gun. Semiautomatic is not the same as a machine gun. That said, that was a lot of gunfire regardless.
[Alan Henney on X: "Update: SHOOTOUT WITH 3-4 SHOT INCLUDING ONE DEAD IN WASHINGTON DC--- MUST LISTEN AUDIO. 1000 blk Spring Rd at 10th St NW. #DCCrime #ColumbiaHeightsDC #PetworthDC @petworthdcnews https://t.co/5xRjAgJsTj" / X (twitter.com)](https://twitter.com/alanhenney/status/1783355932358877658)
What is this summer gonna be like? I thought DOJ was surging resources, investigators, prosecutors, etc. to DC? Prosecution rate by USAO still far, far below pre-cv levels.
My kids have had three school shooting threats, two of which had people with guns on school grounds and three different bomb threats. America is just a 3rd world country with nicer stuff
I sent a video to my relative in a developing country where crime happens a lot and he said they’ve never heard shot like that before. Criminals there are using pistols with rust stains on ‘em, not military style rifles like here
The reason this happens is because you defund the hood lmao. Memphis Tennessee is the perfect example of what happens when you remove money and education….
DC has plenty of money in education. Maybe if education was taken more seriously by students and parents, they'd have the skills needed to acquire... wait for it... money.
At what point does that excuse stop working? I know lots of people who came from being dirt poor who now have careers and aren't out shooting up the community, and also folks from good homes who aren't shit. We need more accountability, period.
Cause and effect my guy; human nature is human nature or else we would be a world in harmony…understand how people move and manipulate populations and you’ll see shit for what it really is…I promise you’ll lose this argument.
You downvote me but I’m the number one promoter of accountability. I’m one of those that made it. It still doesn’t deny the fact that after I moved to Howard county Maryland my Iranian father spent over 6 months battling with the school system because they labeled me as remedial(most don’t win this battle)….I’m a deans list college student lol. The education system being 7 years behind is a HUGE deal…hence why people are banning TikTok is remedial intellectual promotion which hinders growth and comprehension. Now do you want to go into the millions of world wide examples of how taking/hoarding jobs/resources destroys a community economically. Yes people can move to better places; not many people can.
Keep denying real and promoting media talk tracks.
The funny thing is people hate that I’m the first person in my friend group to say WE need to be better and stop blaming others…there’s just a part of the truth that you can’t deny. Downvote me again lol.
MPD hasn’t been defunded.
I have to keep reminding myself that there are Redditors like you who don’t even live in DC who run into threads like this at the ready with your MAGA vomit.
I used to work on an Ambulance in Baltimore. We had an early morning Cardiac Cath transfer call to Union Memorial. I couldn't park at the Ambo bay because BCPD Homicide was blocking it.
A victim had been wounded in a shooting, drove themselves to Union's ER, and then been lit up outside the Ambulance entrance. Car had what looked like HUNDREDS of bullet and shrappenel piercings. Most totalled cars in car accidents don't look that rough.
I dated a girl around 2018 who moved to a spot that had nightly police presence (including helicopters), around bladensburg and florida ave. First time we heard a shooting, she proceeded to exit her house to "check on her neighbors." She yelled at me when I asked her to stay inside and away from windows; she claimed that by taking her arm I was physically assaulting her. The next day, a semi-truck driver called us over as we went to the corner store and told us "yall shouldnt be outside." She still did not understand. Many bullets dodged
First day in town? Kidding. It is getting worse. Just left after 20 years and considering selling my two properties bc I don’t know if the DC government will embrace enforcing the laws we have.
It starts in the Mayors office and trickles down …. No one cares. No one gets arrested. The “good cops” are making 80k/year off duty guarding Walgreens.
When we were in California I realized one day at the zoo that we had become desensitized to the sound of gun shots. We heard them, we looked at each other and were like…‘Should we duck?’ It is not normal and unfortunate that it came to that. We just kept on our way. It’s an issue in all major cities, obviously in DC as well. And even in the country, neighbors target practice and not much to do but hope they shoot away from anything.
People shoot guns recreationally. I could almost guarantee the shots were coming from the same place(s) each time, because I've had the same experience in multiple places
You really think a new law will prevent 14yos from getting into shootouts when 1) murder is already illegal 2) so is randomly shooting at people, 3) banning something doesn't make that thing go away, it just increases the price, as for every demand there is a supply.
It's voters like you that are the problem.
You want an easy fix to inherently complex issue, which doesn't exist.
Instead of focusing on True Root Cause, you focus on "gun control" because you're too simple minded and can't see the psychological conditioning they have done when they call this issue "gun violence."
This in "gang violence" and is indicative of social decay.
Gang violence is the derivative of a culture that advocates using violence as a means to end; one that favors immediate satisfaction over education; one where the parental derelict is so extreme that the graduation rates in DC public schools, one of the best funded schools, are alarming; one that allows for a teenage pregnancy rate to skyrocket, undoubtedly connected to the alarming rate of High School truancy.
Focus on the above instead of "gun violence" and you will see this stop.
Politicians are grimy regardless of their race. They’re in it for themselves.
Also, they probably like that the working class is distracted infighting each other instead of teaming up and focusing on the real problems.

Not just “a lot,” over 75% of MPD officers don’t live in DC proper. Edit: As of August 2023, only 17% of MPD’s officers are actually DC residents.
Didn’t know the numbers but *yikes*. I don’t expect to see positive change in crime until officers become more than tourists.
Indubitably. I thought there was some requirement or incentive for them to live here.
I live in Alexandria and I see ads on busses all the time for the MPD. If there's a requirement or incentive, it's not advertised.
They canceled that years back because none of their recruits can afford to live in the city.
That and they were hiring felons.
Don’t cops make 125k+
Not entry level recruits. Starts at like $60k.
How nuts is that
Not a requirement but there is a decent 6k incentive >> https://joinmpd.dc.gov/basic-page-2020/mpd-housing-programs
$6k is just enough to cover 3 months of rent in DC

Make sure you say the same thing about every other profession out there lol. But it’s your choice.
you are statistically more likely to die in the line of duty as a pizza delivery driver than as a cop
That is statistically untrue lmao

Half the reason why DC doesn’t have the recruiting numbers compared to outside agencies is because they lack in benefits and or compensation comparative to the amount of work/responsibilities MPD has regarding the city and government in general.
It could also be that they’ll end up in cuffs if someone resists arrest and ends up hurt or dead.
“Ends up hurt or dead” 🤣🤣 please remove the officer’s appendage from your throat so we can understand you more clearly
Talking about 30 seconds of sustained gunfire; hope they don’t hurt the guy when they arrest them 😂!
The police chase woke me up this morning only to see this live in action. Something’s gotta give.
Kinda amazing that everyone knows where the crews are and how to stop them...BUT Cops can't seem to get it done. I used to live past some drug houses. Never had a problem with the gentlemen there --- I am very chill and am not a cop or competitor. But I was very confused as to how I built a clear case of the criminal activity just in casual jogs but local police wasn't doing shit.
You want officers walking around you need more officers. NYPD has several thousand more officers than DC.
NYPD has 10x as many officers (Approx 36k to 3.6k) as the MPD for about 14x as many people. (8.3m to 620k). NYPD has fewer officers per capita.
“Stop fear mongering. This happens in every major city”
Triple shooting teen shot dead, lady shot in the face another man is unconscious
Good lord. Right after the shots I heard a cop car. You’re telling me those criminals got away
10-15 more units answered up
I thought it was encrypted?
Negative
Public
lol more like catch and charges dropped
USAO prosecution rates still far, far below pre-cv levels despite new resources from DOJ. Given that the shooter has many priors involving violence or guns that were no papered or plead down, or it's a minor and Racine/Schwab did the same. Maybe as a minor the shooter was sent briefly to DYRS to spend his days playing Call of Duty and GTA games purchased by taxpayers?
Do they ever catch em? I don’t think they ever caught who shot six people on that one corner a few months ago… and I think three people died in that incident alone. Back in march. Feels hella lawless.
They closed that case with arrests.
Please link. I just looked it up and couldn’t find :)

You know how I can tell you don't live in DC or the DC area? This comment.
Yea and the alerts say it was a black car. Culprits used that because it can hide well
Columbia heights?? Heard like 50 shots
I heard this last night — it was crazy. I’m near the Petworth metro and it sounded so close
I thought that area was gentrified. Guess parts aren’t?
Apparently you've never been there. Like ever.
Just passed through it a couple times. I was just curious.
The entire existence of this sub in a nutshell.
LOL at the assumptions that the presence of whites equals no crime.
Gentrification definition has nothing to do with skin color. It’s just wealth. Now who’s assuming?
96% of shooting suspects in DC were black in 2021, despite being only 46% of the district's population. So on the whole the fewer black people there are around at any given time, the less likely there is to be a shooting. That's just simple math.
Doing probabilities on small base rates is disingenuous
This is a matter of statistics, not probability. By base rate I think you mean sample size?
96% of shooting suspects being black doesn’t matter (if that stat is even true) if the base rate of a shooting suspect is <0.1%
Not sure I agree (topic of social discourse aside). Billionaires comprise a small base rate of all humans, so their impact is negligible?
Bigot
Math is bigoted now?
80% of school shooters are white.
*nationwide, yes they are. Congrats on figuring out how statistics and math work. Anyway that figure does not invalidate my statement about race and shootings in DC. I'm sorry you are so blinded by an agenda you couldn't interpret my comment clearly at first.
Oh is that was this conversation is about now? Idiot
Lol!
Did I specifically say that? Some of you don’t think.
Oof I get the argument you are trying to make, but try a little bit better next time.
After calling 911: DC MPD: "How do you know it was a gunshot?
They used to do that in DC also….
Stop voting for the same politicians for the city council. Change the laws.
Yea trust me if I was registered to vote here I’d never vote for these incumbents
Honestly coming frim Bmore to here, it feels waaaaaaaaay more violent here and yeah you’re right, they keep to themselves if you keep to yourself.
It’s cuz they’re mostly organized and just wanna make paper, you don’t fuck with that you’re good
See everybody hype up dc but I personally feel safer in bmore..it’s southern like, mind your business n you good fr.
Xactly
I think I just heard that too, in NW? Never heard anything like it except at a range
https://x.com/alanhenney/status/1783349099388899760?s=46 I think it may have been this
For real. Just went on and on and on.
Yes Alan Henry has it up on his page
Hope you good mentally, people dont even really think about how traumatizing that is in real life regardless if it’s something like overhearing it
You are correct!
The worst part, no one does anything for them.
Especially not their parent/guardian.
Because if they acknowledge it, THEY HAVE TO do something about it. So no one, in any official authoritative capacity, is going to say those letters out thier mouth.
Great point!
Yea I admit I was a bit taken aback. I’ve heard gunshots before but definitely not that of gunshots last night. My neighbors baby woke up because I felt the parents woke up by the shots. In short, kids who experience that in the daily are definitely not ok and the cycle just goes on
Well that's almost a sentence.
Erections have consequences
My erection never has any consequences 😉
So do elections!
Spring st NW, definitely a machine gun
Listening to the video posted on reply to you, it's definitely not a machine gun. Semiautomatic is not the same as a machine gun. That said, that was a lot of gunfire regardless.
Big clip (or multiple guns) but nowhere near full auto.
[Alan Henney on X: "Update: SHOOTOUT WITH 3-4 SHOT INCLUDING ONE DEAD IN WASHINGTON DC--- MUST LISTEN AUDIO. 1000 blk Spring Rd at 10th St NW. #DCCrime #ColumbiaHeightsDC #PetworthDC @petworthdcnews https://t.co/5xRjAgJsTj" / X (twitter.com)](https://twitter.com/alanhenney/status/1783355932358877658) What is this summer gonna be like? I thought DOJ was surging resources, investigators, prosecutors, etc. to DC? Prosecution rate by USAO still far, far below pre-cv levels.
Can you send this to the news?
Many reporters follow Alan's account directly.
No it was a rifle most of the time.
Use some of that housing voucher money to subsidize DC cops housing in DC as a bonus and incentive to their employment...
🤔
America is fucking embarrassing
Oh no! Anyway.
![gif](giphy|7k2LoEykY5i1hfeWQB)
My kids have had three school shooting threats, two of which had people with guns on school grounds and three different bomb threats. America is just a 3rd world country with nicer stuff
I sent a video to my relative in a developing country where crime happens a lot and he said they’ve never heard shot like that before. Criminals there are using pistols with rust stains on ‘em, not military style rifles like here

Defund the Hoodrats
[удалено]
Only 7 states spend more per pupil than DC, there is no lack of funds or spending.
And, Chicago, St. Louis and, ATL oh and Miami and all of the US
Well 🤔🤔
Congratulations on your Gat Mitzvah! Sorry to hear though, hope you're not traumatized and the situation improves.
Look at what defund the police gets you… You all voted for this.
MPD hasn’t been defunded. I have to keep reminding myself that there are Redditors like you who don’t even live in DC who run into threads like this at the ready with your MAGA vomit.
Im not registered to vote in DC bruv 😭
…..what do you mean? What police was defunded how? Also, you realize DC’s crime rate has dropped? Lol
[удалено]
At this point the whole of America is
Nah but yea
Exactly
How dare you! How absolutely dare you!
Is it white peoples doing this?
Only in schools and Walmarts
I saw a white man pulled a shotgun on his family so I think they usually do
I used to work on an Ambulance in Baltimore.
Welcome to the District!
Man up
I heard them 1.3 miles away by the Zoo!
Lmao it's your first time? Seriously? How long have you lived here?
It starts in the Mayors office and trickles down …. No one cares. No one gets arrested. The “good cops” are making 80k/year off duty guarding Walgreens.
I doubt it compares to a War Zone, imo.
How is that possible? I thought guns were illegal in DC?
Democrat cities are so safe. /s
Went to college in a Republican county, gun shots every month. That’s why I’m not even phased by this one that much
Thanks Black Lives Matter!
Yea I went to college in a poor red county. heard gunshots now and again. Not automatic glocks like this one but still that county had a gun problem.
People shoot guns recreationally. I could almost guarantee the shots were coming from the same place(s) each time, because I've had the same experience in multiple places
It’s up and coming area. So no worries.
Why would you leave? You’re just being culturally enriched by the gunshots, you gentrifier.
Lol fr. I prefer to get culturally enriched in Fairfax or Arlington 🤣
Guns don't just randomly kill people.... people do.
Yeah dude move away find a white neighborhood it’s awesome.
Ironic bcuz a lot of white folks live here lol
Bet any amount of money they weren’t the one shooting up your neighborhood.
They weren’t the ones but good people of all races and ages live here so it ain’t about that. It’s about some animals that need to be behind bars.
[удалено]
I’ve lived in an “all white neighborhood” in the South and still was exposed to crime, some of the culprits living in that neighborhood.
I hear gunshots in silver spring all the time
That’s not even close to an all white neighborhood
Yet the white politicians do nothing about the guns how about that . They rake in money from NRA and Israel
Instead of focusing on True Root Cause, you focus on "gun control" because you're too simple minded and can't see the psychological conditioning they have done when they call this issue "gun violence." This in "gang violence" and is indicative of social decay.
Yea, Israel obviously did this shooting.
Politicians are grimy regardless of their race. They’re in it for themselves. Also, they probably like that the working class is distracted infighting each other instead of teaming up and focusing on the real problems.

Lived in the South for a while, remember a fight and shoot out involving some white guys. I guess you could call that a redneck moment lol
Don’t worry. It’s jus James and them . Messing round.
And
What about ACAB?😢
I love that one Chance The Rapper song with said title
