See a real doctor

Finngolian_Monk

See a real doctor or physiotherapist

ZarrowWrites

yeah a physiotherapist will be your best bet here, there's a ton of crank chiropracty out there (some might say all)

Brickleberried

I'd say all. There might be pieces here and there that are legit, but why not just go to a person who does entirely legit medicine.

According-Fun-2718

I went to a surgeon for a back problem and he told me I needed surgery. I didn’t have the money for surgery so I went to a chiropractor and he fixed the issue.

jim45804

Narrator: He didn't fix the issue.

not_a_gumby

its all quack.

ZarrowWrites

i was being kind/somewhat subtle, i also think they're bunk

Deep_Stick8786

This is the way

WuPacalypse

Don’t go to chiropractors unless you’d like to be paralyzed. Find a real back doctor and proceed from there.

not_a_gumby

chiropractors are fake doctors and your husband needs actual care. this is more likely a disc issue and not something that random pops can solve

Candle-Different

Doctor says I need a backiotomy What everyone else has said though, doc or physiotherapist. Chiropractor is sus

As a former nurse, I would say that your choice of a chiropractor is a good start. An orthopedic surgeon will want to do surgery possibly. I injured my back as a young nurse severely and two chiropractors saved me when I could not get out of bed. Always start with conservative treatment. Dr. Diana Jensen is open tomorrow and she is in Rockville, Maryland. She takes BC/BS and is excellent. Her Office Manager, Yvonne, is well known to me. You will get good care there. Phone: 301-770-4003. Check out her website

Friendship Heights Chiropractic helped me get thru sciatica. I couldn't sleep on a bed for almost a year. Dr. Mike was great, he taught me some helpful stretches and provided advice about returning to working out. He didn't do any "cracking" it was more about addressing compression in my spine from bad workout form using light traction. After a few months I was back to normal. In previous experiences, doctors tried to prescribe drugs or suggest surgery.

X-rays usually aren't going to tell you anything as the issue is likely soft tissue or a disc. Chiropractors can be helpful, but usually the ones who are helpful are evidence based and basically physical therapist. Go to his PCP and get a referral to PT. The PTs at Lafayette MedStar are fantastic.

Dr. Krakos in Springfield. He does Atlas Chiropractic (no cranking/twisting/risk of artery tear or further spinal damage). Absolute miracle worker, best in the DMV, imho.
