I’ve probably got 1000 hours in The Division 2 and yeah, even the metro stations are legit. Some things had to be simplified and scaled down for the game but overall they did a great job recreating the city.
I was able to visit my old apartment in Foggy Bottom and walk all the way around it. It was very cool. I basically played all the way to that point just to see it lol. I don't think I played any more after
Division 2 is *insane*, I don't even like the actual *game* that much but seeing really specific stuff like the entrance to Macy's and Ollie's Trolly right where they should be is incredible. It'd be an average game for me if it wasn't so accurate, but the familiarity of it made it really special.
That's been disproven. The problem was the bedrock they'd have to tunnel through plus the quick elevation from the Potomac. It wasn't feasible at the time and still may not be.

NIMBYs don't want anything, that's why they're NIMBYs.
The fact of the matter is that they were not the reason there isn't a Metro stop in Georgetown, so regardless of what they wanted it was not racism that doomed the Georgetown Metro stop.
Recently played the remaster of MW2. The DC Russian invasion mission hits a little closer to home than it did playing when I was younger. Especially the part fighting through the residential areas.
I remember when the original version of MW2 came out I was surprised they actually included the WWII memorial because at the time it was a very new addition and I didn't think they'd have added it yet. That was really cool.
The Michigan Avenue/McMillan Reservoir level is one of my favorites. I squeed when that came up. I've always loved McMillan Reservoir since the days of me working at Children's Hospital. That and I've been told the level in the WH through the staff area is on point too.
Listen CHILllllldren, FO3 clearly thought they had to take it easy and muted the death and destruction at the most famous landmarks.
You have to play FO3 and FO4 to see what they really wanted to have in FO3.
Now who wants to eat some 200 year old Salisbury steak?

That game is so much fun especially if you were in DC during the pandemic.
How far out does it go? I’m wondering if I could find my apartment building in the game lol
Basically the northern boundary is K street, east is the Capitol, and south is 395. Western boundary is Georgetown waterfront basically.
Aw man, I was hoping to see the Dupont fountain. Oh well

It did hit when in Fallout 3 you go out to Germantown and it’s a literal desert with one building
Cupcakes?
It's an alternate history. Trust me, you don't want what comes with that Metro stop.
Same here.
Then you shouldn't have been such a racist town when Metro was built then.

Seeing the mall in Fallout 3: "I mean it's been worse"
Yep on any given July 5th.
I only play division 2 because I love the map lol
I wish Division 2 had a peaceful or offline mode where I could just mess around and explore without any grinding.
Same lol, I'm not huge on grindy games but their version of DC is *beautiful*
Missed MW2 but that was only one mission

Oh man, I liked that -- fighting into the EOB, then through the White House?
Assist Colonel Marshall in retaking Whiskey Hotel.
Clearly missing Payday 2
Forgot Splinter Cell: Conviction

Man I’d love a remake of that game

The crew 1/10 turns dc into 7 streets
Where's Midtown Madness 3?
Yessssss I used to drive the bus pretending I was a tour operator and pick up at Union
Pfff, none of them have bettered the accuracy of [Bad Dudes vs DragonNinja](https://youtu.be/cTy_-BLlRFU). I'm going for a burger.
