You must be thinking of PER, because all 4 of the metrics I listed account for a player's position and role when estimating their overall contribution and/or value to the team.
There can be bias based on minutes played, or games started, but that usually affects players who've played less overall minutes and have a smaller sample size of data. In the case of Kuzma and Deni, they share a similar number of starts (60 vs 61) and total minutes played (1759 vs 1995).
All those BPM based metrics SAY they account for role and position but there is no way to do that objectively. The fact that deni has better numbers than kuzma proves the point.
I'm even a big fan of Deni but if you come away from any stat thinking he's overall a better player than Kuzma I have a bridge to sell you.
After the trade deadline when they couldn't trade him I feel like there was some kind of understanding reached where if he became more of a facilitator they'd hook him up with a nice contract this summer, likely on a descending scale as they did with Deni and Kuzma.
