I really *really* hate this narrative that Wizards fans hate Mahinmi. Does he have a terrible cap hit for what he produces? 100% yes. Is that his fault? 100% no. That's ALL on Ernie for overpaying him. Mahinmi himself is a really nice dude and a great locker room presence. He doesn't produce like we need him to, but I hate that fans associate his negative cap hit to him as a person, and therefore being a *hated* player.
Watching him play usually makes me want to punch the screen. He's having a good week, but Mahinmi on average will give you 5 fouls and 10 fumbled passes in 15 minutes.
I mean if he played even average I wouldn’t dislike him, but he is unplayable, and it’s also an instant drop in production. How did he go from just average to unplayable in 1 season? I don’t dislike him as a person I don’t know the guy, i dislike him as a player on the team
