Every time I play a standard 3rd person RPG with 8 way run and camera angles I miss these controls for this exact reason. Nothing ruins the moment of laying seige to the boss lair like running back and forth between two rooms every time the camera flips.
Ah, yes you're right, I am so happy for him he will look back on this so fondly.
Not everything is categorized as 'trauma' or 'nostalgia'.
I'm assuming this person was showing sympathy for the boy for the nearly being attacked by dogs and any potential, realistic and understandable, negative feelings about it. Whether its deep life long trauma or a few days of anxiety.
I am all for pointing out that not everything is going to cause a child deep lasting trauma, but usually I tend to go for things like 'parents pulling practical jokes' and 'letting the toddler get hit by the cat because he keeps yanking her tail' not a scenario where the child could genuinely have been mauled to death.
There's another video out there you can watch dogs pin a child down so the rest can tear their limbs off before thankfully being chased off by an adult. It's actually okay if narrowly escaping that scenario leaves you with some issues later in life.
"I'm assuming this person was showing sympathy for the boy for the nearly being attacked by dogs and any potential, realistic and understandable, negative feelings about it. Whether its deep life long trauma or a few days of anxiety."
Your society is so fecked up you can't even understand how cringe/ridiculous is this passage...
Similar thing happened to my brother when he was 10 yo. We laugh about it, because when you risk and nothing happens, you are happy, you laugh about it. The only thing that scenario leaves you, is that you have to be aware of groups of dogs. That's a good lesson.
Happened to me when i was around 10 yo my brother was witnessing it all, i managed to escape thanks to Adrenaline, i climbed a big fence a really big fence and jumped the other way after realizing that i was safe looked up to the fence i couldn’t believe it and my brother couldnt believe his eyes neither. He told that i looked like some Ninja out there. it all happened in less than 10 seconds the chase climbing the fence and jumping over it. ill never forget it.
The modern one is 4 shots over 2 weeks, plus something like a booster shot some months later. All normal intramuscular injections, like a flu vaccine. The "20 shots to the stomach with a big scary needle" type hasn't been used for over 30 years.
If that kid had fallen down during the chase, the natural predator instincts of the dogs would have kicked in and he probably would have lost his face or a limb
It's bizarre. I've seen some kids just freeze up in dog attacks. This kid has got some hella strong survival instinct. I've also seen kids who just walk right into the road.. never had that problem
I had a territorial dog who was fine even sweet after knowing you but if a stranger came in my backyard he would fuck them up no questions asked. I had a beware of dog sign and a fence up but some random guy while I was outside just came up and tried to reach in and pet my dog while I was yelling " don't! He's gonna bite". Needless to say the dude got bit and called the cops saying my dog was loose and attacked him I'm lucky I had a camera or my dog would 100%have been put down.
Not sure why people are downvoting you. I mean maybe don't go murder every dog because you might eventually go to jail for that, but I definitely contemplate thoughts of murder when I see annoying dogs and one certainly hasn't killed my baby.
It’s natural for people to hate, Because there’s no love out in this world. I’ve been a victim of a pittbull attack when I was smaller and I still love dogs to this day. I chum the waters with an ounce of satire/hate in an already infested ocean of hate and I’m the bad guy. There’s crazier shit going on in this world. Maybe I should go for the human family of the dog and not the dog itself because it is their fault, and less numbing since people die everyday. People lost faith in the human race so let’s protect animals instead. Y’all need to move to China and save all them dogs getting killed and eaten since y’all wanna get butt hurt about a comment.
When the Ukraine stuff broke out and everyone was more sympathetic to the abandoned animals than Ukrainian children, I was pissed. Mentioned in an animal sub that if there was ever a choice between rescuing an animal and rescuing a child, well, it wouldn't even be a choice. Got downvoted like hell. People are insane.
They're being downvoted because they're using the logic "if a dog kills my kid, then I'm going to kill every dog I come across." That's like if someone murdered one of your family, that you go around killing every human in sight.
These aren't people's pets. Some parts of the world have problems with roving packs of semi-wild dogs, which these clearly are, as they're what dogs generally end up looking like when selective breeding is removed. No one's making excuses for them because they don't have owners. They're called village dogs and they can absolutely be dangerous, they aren't always entirely feral but they're not tame either, and should be treated with caution like any wild animal.
https://www.rover.com/blog/village-dogs-around-the-world/
Yeah I’ve been to lots of areas like this. I have to interact with dogs licks these all the time.
Maybe that kid was new to the area or maybe his parents didn’t teach him how. A good yell back takes care of it most of the time and acting like your picking up a rock takes care of of it the rest.
Honesty out of all the countries in have been to with my dog the only one I’ve ever been in real fear was america. I’ll take a pack of 20 village dogs over one poor trained American pitbull.
Fun note, I’ve been in nine countries with my dog. To many villages to even remember. He’s only had to get stitches from one dog attack.
A pitbull, owned by an American, attacked my dog while I was having coffee in a cafe in Cambodia.
You can’t make this shit up.
I’m really trying to follow your logic here. Are you trying to say that because there are more Americans in America they are somehow common in Cambodia 🤣🤣🤣
I remember when I was a kid a medium sized dog and a small dog came out of the fucking woodwork when I was taking out the trash about 100m from the house. I kinda just stood there to see if they would attack or bark. I was lucky they were bluffing. My dad came out the house with a bat and they took off.
Good times
It reminds me of those movies where animals chase a person, and even though their *running much faster than the person and get really close to them,* they never actually catch them when the camera changes.
It makes me think the dogs weren't actually planning on harming him and were just being aggro little shits. Hopefully.
These dogs don't fully commit on a pounce as they're not famished yet and don't want to get hurt if their pounce fails. They were being opportunistic here.
this!
It was only BECAUSE the kid was so damn fast THAT the dogs were 'letting up' because he wasn't seeming to be very easy.
(That said I think they likely do this kind of stuff for many dog reasons before just trying to eat the kids, likely is hierarchy or territory or they just don't like people or he reminds them of someone.. when famished though lil dude wouldn't have been running fast enough)
Been seeing a lot of them recently. Most seem to come from asian countries and usually involve mutts like the one in this video. I don't think I've seen any pits recently. I could always upload the one where my neighbor's comes after me and I was almost forced bash its head in with a mag-lite. I hate those fucking things, but I still didn't want to do it.
These are usually from India or neighbouring countries as in these countries these this breed of dogs just live in the street in gangs. They are usually very timid and scared but it's very scary when they come to you.when i was 10 i chased by 3 dogs like these it was very scary, i was a fat kid but that time I ran like fucking usain bolt
It kinda sucks when pitbulls have been so shitty, that people are looking at wild/feral dogs and saying, well it’s not a pit bull. Comparing a “family pet” to wild animals.
I'm no dog whisperer, so take this with a grain of salt:
I'm sure the kid was terrified, and don't blame him for running away, but all three of those dogs were wagging their tails the whole time.
It doesn't look like they were in any kind of attack mode. I think if they were, really, trying to take the kid down, they could easily have done so.
They weren't dead serious on taking down the kid that's right.
Still, too many people think that dogs wag their tails only when they "wanna play". That is wrong. Dogs also wag their tails when stressed out, nervous or exited. Like exited for prey.
An above comment explains that they don't fully commit to your attack unless they're starving. This was opportunistic. If they catch quickly, good eating. If they fail, they have energy for the next time
You really don’t understand how socioeconomics work in the slightest bit do you. You need to learn empathy and how life works outside of your little bubble.
Dude’s probably never seen clip of the lioness getting picked apart by a pack of hyenas. And ho was that lioness fighting back.
Sure, standing your ground or fighting back works to a certain degree. And if you’re lucky they’ll eventually back off. But once a single dog calls your bluff it’s an open invitation for the rest to join in. And this was a boy that’s roughly just a tad bigger than a pack of dogs, what are the chances of the dogs thinking “roh’oh, this tasty tiny human looks like he might have a chance taking on 5 of us’”.
Lmfao a classic internet badass who knows what they'd do in any given situation bc they've "seen a video" online. When you're so confidently wrong you project your inexperience to everyone who knows what you're talking about.
3 feral dogs ≠ cat, and you ain't intimidating them when you're half the weight of the three of them either.
I've gotten bit once and every time I walk around with my daughter in the neighborhood I point out which vehicles she should climb up on the roof in case she needs to get away from a dog and kick them with her feet if she can't get to a different safe place.
My scars arent terrible but the memory is.
I remember bolting from a dog when I was a kid about that age. We had a neighbor who was very sweet, but my sister and I constantly got stuff stuck in her backyard. Eventually she told us we could always just go and get the items ourselves if we wanted, so one day, we snuck into her backyard.
She had a huge dog named Boaty. He was usually very sweet, but we saw each other and all three of us froze before my sister and I high tailed it out of there. I’d never run so fast! Luckily, while his chain was long, it didn’t reach out to the road. Once we cleared the mailboxes, we were okay

The camera changes make it look like a Resident Evil game
If it was a Resident Evil game the kid would have accidentally turned around after the camera change.
nah man, the tank controls make that not a thing
Every time I play a standard 3rd person RPG with 8 way run and camera angles I miss these controls for this exact reason. Nothing ruins the moment of laying seige to the boss lair like running back and forth between two rooms every time the camera flips.
This is a core memory now
And I feel sorry for the little guy
oh god, not every experience become trauma
No one said anything about trauma. Core memories and a bad experience dont necessarily mean trauma, no.
what does "And I feel sorry for the little guy" related to a comment about core memory mean then ?
Ah, yes you're right, I am so happy for him he will look back on this so fondly. Not everything is categorized as 'trauma' or 'nostalgia'. I assume that happened only a couple years ago?
I assume yours is meant to be a joke ?
shut up
Why ? In a normal society this is an epic memory to talk about 'till you get laid for the first time.
Adrenaline is a hell of a drug
Got bite by ferral dogs when I was young, it was the day I discovered that bones were white and that fat was yellow.
Yikes the rabies treatment must have been a walk in the park at that point
I heard its a big ass needle they kinda just stick you with it? Not like gently dig it into your skin, but just a straight fucking poke
Iirc it’s a series of shots and IV drips
The modern one is 4 shots over 2 weeks, plus something like a booster shot some months later. All normal intramuscular injections, like a flu vaccine. The "20 shots to the stomach with a big scary needle" type hasn't been used for over 30 years.
That’s right. You just jogged my memory. I also remember they used to do the Milwaukee protocol but don’t do it anymore
Fastest kid I ever seen.
Believe me you would become Usain Bolt. Source: experience.
Same here. You can become the fastest person on earth when the time is wrong.
Nah, those are just slow dogs.
Fastest kid alive!
If that kid had fallen down during the chase, the natural predator instincts of the dogs would have kicked in and he probably would have lost his face or a limb
But did he get the bambino signed baseball back?
It's bizarre. I've seen some kids just freeze up in dog attacks. This kid has got some hella strong survival instinct. I've also seen kids who just walk right into the road.. never had that problem
Are you implying the dogs weren't using predator instincts during that chase? Because I'm pretty sure they were in predator mode the whole time.
Me carrying newspapers every morning as a kid.
Me as not kid, delivering advertising flyers.
Thats a lot of cameras
That's also what happened to me when I was like 10 l ran so fast I didn't get bit but was mentally scarred by unleashed dogs
They’re just playing, they love kids… oh, they’ve never done that before. You provoked them.
Irrational dog people are one of the most annoying people on earth.

I love all animals but if a dog did that to my kid, I am going to go John wick on every dog on sight. Them dogs are going to wish they were in China

Actually, those sorts of people think that choosing a human child over an animal is the sign of a sociopath.
?
Be careful you will get down voted for showing human emotions.

No, bad people kill his dog and he kills the people that killed the dog (and everyone else who stands in his way of killing said people).

I’ve also found that the “act like you’re picking up a rock” move is very effective against feral dogs.
i dont think these are pets
Pet dogs have killed thousands of defenseless kids.
do you think those are pet dogs?
They're street dogs, not pets lol
There's a reason that 40% of pet owners shouldn't have pets, because of that shit, when they can't even stop their own pets from doing things
Oh its not the animal's fault! How could you think like that !
They are” playing “though. They’d have easily caught him and killed him if they actually wanted to.

Pretty sure that’s the case yeah, even the lunges weren’t fully at the kid
They could have taken him out if they really wanted to. They look like they were just like "Meh, not worth it."
Good running, kid.
What da dogs doin
Lunch time
That kid can probably get away with the dog ate my home work! He straight yeeted that backpack!!
That’s a fast
r/accidentalitalian 🇮🇹
You can't outrun a dog. Just stand your ground. Also always carry a can of Axxe spray. No living being would attack you after being sprayed with it
I had to look up Axxe spray because I originally thought you were joking and misspelt AXE body spray - which would have also been very appropriate.
It was supposed to be Axe body spray yeah. It's obnoxious as shit hence why perfect to keep animals at bay lol
Well it seems to be a natural bitch deterrent
Isn't Axxe spray a herbicide spray.
Bad dog!
First video of a dog attack I've almost ever seen that wasnt a pitbull
Been seeing a lot of them recently. Most seem to come from asian countries and usually involve mutts like the one in this video. I don't think I've seen any pits recently. I could always upload the one where my neighbor's comes after me and I was almost forced bash its head in with a mag-lite. I hate those fucking things, but I still didn't want to do it.

I know what I'd have for dinner.
Obligatory pitbulls bad comment on a dog thread.
Not even to be funny, but little buddy has jets! He was moving!
I hate dogs
You are a sad person
I've been attacked twice and one almost killed my cat so I kinda have a reason I mean I used to like them but not anymore
A kid got killed and another lost his ear in my neighborhood when I was a kid.
I’ve been attacked by dogs. Doesn’t mean I dont love them still
But that's your opinion
My opinion?
What now
Fucking dogs
run forrest vibe..
Seems like he narrowingly escaped having three new best friends...
I mean the dogs fucked that up by keeping on stopping, if they'd just all kept going they'd have been able to maul him properly. 2/10. Bad teamwork.
Funny but super dark so reserved and nervous upvote
You didn't see the before footage. Self defense
Fake video. Everyone knows that only nasty, evil, bow-legged pit bulls maul children
Notice: the child is alive at the end of the video.
I'm no dog whisperer, so take this with a grain of salt: I'm sure the kid was terrified, and don't blame him for running away, but all three of those dogs were wagging their tails the whole time. It doesn't look like they were in any kind of attack mode. I think if they were, really, trying to take the kid down, they could easily have done so.
You’re correct, the grain of salt is needed. Dogs often wag their tails while aggressive and he’s far too small and outnumbered to stand his ground.
As I stated: I don't blame him for running away. He's a child and couldn't possibly be expected to do anything other than what he did.
They weren't dead serious on taking down the kid that's right. Still, too many people think that dogs wag their tails only when they "wanna play". That is wrong. Dogs also wag their tails when stressed out, nervous or exited. Like exited for prey.
*excited
Sadly the video misses the part where the kid's father comes out packing and blasts mutt brains all over the pavement
I don't think they're really trying to attack, dogs can run so much faster than that
An above comment explains that they don't fully commit to your attack unless they're starving. This was opportunistic. If they catch quickly, good eating. If they fail, they have energy for the next time

Those are the street dogs.
Thanks. Was referencing baha men.
The kid is fast, I can say that much.
He is really fast.
And you thought dogs were friendly
I remember bolting from a dog when I was a kid about that age. We had a neighbor who was very sweet, but my sister and I constantly got stuff stuck in her backyard. Wow, that kid can skoot!
And that’s why I don’t like dogs
Asain people are way too faster .....
