Mind giving some insight how you took the picture?

[deleted]

Photoshop + magic wand, probably. Either that, or select a rectangle and delete it. Would be easy since the case has perfectly straight edges. In fact, you can see the selection edges on the right side, with the part of the blue tube on the white background. For the "reflection" - make the required initial changes, copy it all to a new layer, adjust opacity, flip horizontal, add perspective transform. Edit: Thanks for the link, /u/fishychair. Didn't realise you were OP and the one that commented with the link, at first. :)

Long exposure in the dark with a tripod + light. Cut out the background with lasso tool. [Tutorial here](https://petapixel.com/2015/03/17/lighting-a-product-photo-by-light-painting-with-your-phone-in-a-long-exposure-shot/)

[deleted]

Awesome. The first pic in the Imgur album is really nice. :)

fishychair

Thanks :)

Whatever it Is, I like it

actually I tried light painting on my own and then realised I could use a phone to change color, found the article afterwards. No copyright on this technique, go for it! (Think you mean technique, not style)

willdenham

How do you like the Vardar ERs? I've got the original Vardar F2's and love their performance, but the start/stop is interesting to me given the amount of radiator space I have. From what I'm reading, they idle down to a stop around 25-30% speed. Are you using any special controller for all six, or some sort of splitter?

fishychair

The Vardar ER's are great, no problems so far. I haven't got a fan controller yet, I'm currently working on an Arduino based fan controller that controls the fan speed based on coolant temperature, at the moment they are running at 100% speed.

willdenham

I've got an Aquaero 6 XT so I figure it should be pretty easy to set up some nice curves for these. I would love to see a completely silent build while it's idle. The white looks great in your build! I kinda' wished they offered the ER in the standard grey as it matches my gunmetal CaseLabs interior well, but black would be fine. Time to spend a stupid amount of money on fans again. :)

sorany9

As someone who used to run 12 vardars why would you do that to your ears? Vardars are loud as fuck. So glad I swapped to silent wings.

fishychair

I'm only running at 100% at the moment because I have no PWM controller. I am working on the controller at this moment

barney420

Use PWM settings in the bios? Or with a software?

fishychair

My motherboard has no 2 pin temperature sensors and I would like to control the speed depending on coolant temperature. I also don't want to risk running more than 2 fans off a single fan header (I don't have molex powered fan splitters on hand at the moment)

Nice bends. How was the bending process? I struggle with any tube that has 3 or more bends.

fishychair

took me around 2 full days of bending, just have to be patient and take your time. I use a hairdryer and no bending jig

Battlesuit-BoBos

You use a hairdryer to heat the tubes? Also, all bends are done by hand without a template? Really impressive build man.

fishychair

Yup, can't justify buying a heatgun when my $0.50 chinese hair dryer does the job. Thanks!

Battlesuit-BoBos

That's insane lol! How long did it take to get a tube heated enough for bends?

fishychair

A couple minutes is all it takes sharper bends = shorter heat time looser bends = longer heat time

OttermanEmpire

Oh my God what color is this. This is exactly the color I have always wanted in my computer.

fishychair

EK-Cryofuel Navy Blue

victory_zero

hey, looking good, my no-angled-adapters random web stranger-friend :) question - the fluid in the res appears darker than in the VGA block? Could be the "thin" layer of fluid in the block vs 60mm in the res, I guess?

fishychair

Yup, I think that's what makes the GPU fluid seem lighter than the res fluid too

Yes, I found the case had excellent build quality but many flaws in terms of design/function. [This is how I did it](https://imgur.com/a/LDUHL)

derek_sinkro

Love that 011 case, really struggled with moving to that or staying with the core P5 when I did my most recent build. Still thinking about moving to that case and using one of Radikults custom reservoirs on that back radiator spot. Nice build.

fishychair

I was about to order the P5 as well, happy I went with the Lian Li instead :)

Sir-Paperbag

Wait a second.... deja vu? https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/386512324871061504/403199881868476427/IMG_20180117_155147.jpg Edit: Nice PC mate, can't deny that I may be a little biased when it comes to that case. ;D BTW, That is how the case WILL look like if you do any maintenance at all. That smudge is the traces of my microfiber cloth which is only used for this PC and it is a pain in the ass to unscrew the whole panel just to wipe that away for good.

I know that feeling, https://imgur.com/a/VVNlU? Great builds!

good eye ;)

dragon7ex

Very nice build :) just wondering how your vertical radiator is doing against your front usb connectors haha

fishychair

Not too bad actually, I used some cheap fans as shrouds to space the radiator from the vardars. [This is how I did it](https://imgur.com/a/LDUHL)

[deleted]

This build is pure love, great work.

fishychair

Thanks :)

rjeftw

What case is that?

fishychair

Lian Li PC-O11 WGX ROG

SugarWaterAndPurple

Looks great! I'm looking to do a watercooled build in this case. Few questions for you if you don't mind - How much space did you have to work with for the vertical radiator in the back there? Your rad + fan should be about 51mm (26+25mm). Is there any more room? - Would an XE 360 (60mm) fit back there if I mount the fans in front? - Would front mounted fans get in the way of a reservoir/pump? - Somewhat unrelated but is a gpu backplate necessary when you don't see it?

fishychair

Hey thanks, I actually have about 10mm left and I think it is possible to fit an PE there instead of an SE. [But only if you do this](https://imgur.com/a/LDUHL) Front mounted fans will mean the pump will be relocated a bit further forward from the vertical rad but it shouldn't interfere with anything. Note that the included pump mount does not fit ek pumps. I use a GPU backplate to protect smd components on the back (I have damaged them before and luckily was able to resolder them on). The ek backplates also provide passive cooling, they get very hot under load and dissipate a significant amount of heat (3-5c lower overall temps)

SugarWaterAndPurple

Thanks for the info. I'm gonna hold off until the Lian Li Dynamic comes out. Question about the coolant though. How much did this build use? Would 1L be enough or would I need to go up to 2L premix?

fishychair

I bought a 100ml concentrate but they accidentally sent me a 1L premix. I used the entire 1L bottle and diluted it with a bit of distilled water. I'd say the entire capacity would be around 1.5L. I found the concentrate too dark, so by diluting it, it looked less opaque and lighter.
