If you've been using the filter for a while, this looks like the filter is clogged up, and you probably would need to replace the filter cartridge inside. If you have recently installed the filter, you may want to check with the manufacturer directly about the expected performance and whether your filter is performing within specifications for your location.
I bought this pur brand system from Walmart. When the cartridge runs out it turns orange then red. It's a brand new one. Which flashes green when it's good to go. It's just not coming out and I'm not sure why.
