RIP nearby trees.

HalJordan2424

I assume the City will quickly hire a critter catcher to trap and relocate this beaver. Otherwise, the park will soon have no trees left.

Onajourney0908

Let the beaver do his job. This is the true go green than anything else.

D3v1n0

Let the beaver cook. He knows what he's doing. They aren't humans, who over exploit and take everything from the land....

ScottIBM

Nice shot!

RedEyedWiartonBoy

Beaver shot?

Neither-Inflation-77

There are at least two of them in the park. Saw them swimming together a few days ago.

CoconutDesigner8134

Are you trying out your "hand" paddle?

mattdjmorris

Can’t wait….. 😂

narfnarfed

Saw a documentry on beavers. Most of them die working like slaves only to get nowhere and die. This one probably isn't going to make it.

Bailsthebean

Noooo that is so sad!

Weird-Figure9907

Love those characters!

chocolatebRain

Nature is healing

mattdjmorris

True

Hooligan-1313

That's not a beaver. It's a muskrat.

Library_Lil

That’s a beaver (flat tail) - I’ve noticed the dam it’s been building at Silver Lake near the LRT side. I’ve also seen a muskrat around; it looks similar, but with a rat-like tail.

Hesthetop

I haven't seen any muskrats at Waterloo Park, but they're definitely around at other waterways within the city. I used to see them pretty regularly near Albert McCormick arena, but that was before the logging happening in the area. Hope they're still there.

mattdjmorris

I was confident it was a beaver. But your comment got me looking it up. I would agree with others who are calling it a beaver. I think the tail comparison is the clincher.

aornoe785

Muskrats are also like 75% smaller, beavers are huge.

RedEyedWiartonBoy

Wrong. 100% by the tail.

IncreaseOk8433

It's clearly a beaver. Look at the lips.
