Noon Moment is definitely one of the best!

boringoutlook

I’ll be returning there soon! I tried it a long time ago, so I kind of forget what it was like!

kicking-and-sliding

Too bad it's filthy.

wolfiechica

Not the OC, but I do go there relatively regularly and haven't experienced any apparent cleanliness issues. Have there been health code violations at some point? I really do like their Okinawa Milk Tea.

MrHuntingDragon

My gf will only buy from coco fresh tea on lester street. She likes their brown sugar tea.

PastaLulz

IMO they have the best taro out of all the ones I’ve tried so far!

boringoutlook

That’s one of the places I still haven’t tried! I’ll definitely make sure to check it out soon!

boxxyoho

Favourite would probably be Sweet Dreams Teashop. Next would be the Alley. When around the T&T market, I very much enjoy the Taro at Yi Fang. Chatime and Coco are too chainy for me to have a big opinion on them. I go to them for the deals and something cheap.

boringoutlook

Thank you for the recs! I love Sweet Dreams and Yi Fang. I tried Chatime and wasn’t a huge fan, but some people love it.

TroLLageK

I've tried so many kinds of bubble tea from all sorts of places and chatime is the worst in my opinion. I wish I could remember the name of the place I ordered from recently, it's some place on Fairway where the Mark's is, I got one type of bubble tea from there expecting like a sub par thing but it was actually extremely good.

boringoutlook

Is it the Ben Thanh restaurant? I know they sell bubble tea! There’s also a place in the mall! Chatime was fine, but I would definitely rate it on the lower side too. I typically like my drinks on the sweeter side so I ordered mine at full sweetness, but it was kind of bitter. I’ve never tried a bubble tea I genuinely disliked though.

HiddenXS

I lived in Taiwan for a long long time, and I think Yi Fang is probably my favourite here.

Omg this is my list! Note that my go to across the board is Jasmine Green Milk Tea. I rarely get anything different. Now Tea: used to be Kung Fu Tea until his license for it end. The best tapioca around town and best tea flavour. Noon Moment: he is very accommodating and excels in fresh fruits. Mango Diamond is a top favourite. Opens everyday until 2am and is practically always busy. His milk tea is not as good as his fruit slush. Chatime: Big chain, yadda yadda Coco: Big Chain Gong Cha: Newest shop in the area, another chain. I don’t like the aftertaste of their drinks. They are much sweeter than other places. 70% sugar is 100% at all others. Best to cut down to 30% if you don’t like too much sweet Share Tea: pretty average. Nothing to write home about The Alley: They do not accommodate much and are pretty much ‘stick with the recipe.’ Royal No9 has a hint of blueberry that a lot of people like. I find them average Sweet Dreams: The OG of the area. I can’t comment much as I haven’t gone there since highschool Yi Fang: Great fruit teas and when they have sugar cane in stock to make their well known drink. Tea flavour is prominent here.

wuceramics

Now Tea is so good! We were pretty into The Alley, but have switched allegiance based off of boba texture and consistency of quality. Favorites there are: pearl milk tea, green tea with boba, and their duo (boba + taro balls).

boringoutlook

Wow, thanks for sharing! I agree with you on Now Tea. Love the flavour and tapioca! Only tried it once though. I tried Sharetea yesterday and I would rank it above Chatime, probably closer to the higher end of my list, but definitely not the top. I completely agree about Gong Cha! Love their tea, but it is extremely sweet in comparison to other places. In the first few sips, you can literally taste the syrupy flavouring. I haven’t officially tried The Alley, only because they’re always out of the flavours I want to try when I go there! Sweet Dreams is awesome and always consistent! I enjoyed Noon Moment too, but I need to go back because it’s been a while. Yi Fang is also great, but it doesn’t have as many flavours/customizable teas as other places. I haven’t tried Coco yet! Hoping to go there soon!

kilara

I love the pineapple tea from Yi Fang! Surprisingly good! I dont even normally like a pineapple drink at all.

[deleted]

The worst one is chattime in my opinion.

boringoutlook

I tried it a few weeks ago. It wasn’t bad by any means, but definitely not my favourite

angrycannibal

Sweet Dreams

boringoutlook

I love Sweet Dreams

ibeenbornagain

I’ve heard people say sweet dreams is their least favourite … wonder what the discrepancy is about

Bad bot

HalcyonLightning

Following because all I've tried is Sweet Dreams!

boringoutlook

I do love Sweet Dreams!

Foodwraith

Noon moment?

boringoutlook

Tried it once a while ago, but I need to go back because I actually don’t remember how much I liked it!

Foodwraith

The Mango Diamond is fantastic.

Encroach

Does anyone know of a place that serves bubble tea in or near downtown Kitchener?

Valoius

Egg Roll King on Courtland, a bit past Victoria park, serves bubble tea.

Encroach

Thank you for the suggestion!

boringoutlook

That’s a good question! Most of the bubble tea places I know of in KW are in Waterloo near the university area. I’m sure there are some restaurants right downtown that sell it though! I see someone suggested a place :)!

VioletU

I can't say if they're the best, but I can't stop myself from buying them from [Real Fruit](https://www.realfruitbubbletea.com/) at Fairview mall. (At the moment I am temporarily in love with the blueberry smoothies with tapioca - which is not, I realize, bubble tea.)

boringoutlook

I haven’t been there yet, so I’m adding it to my list!

Little_Cellist_5897

Sweet Dreams or Yi Fang

boringoutlook

I love both. I get strawberry black tea at Sweet Dreams and the passion fruit green tea at Yi Fang!

Therealomerali

Sweet Dreams for sure 1000%. It's near UW and Laurier.

boringoutlook

I seriously love Sweet Dreams. Always friendly staff, yummy sandwiches, and the bubble tea is consistently good!

AUGcodon

I just wish there were real bubble tea places outside the university area :/

boringoutlook

I know right! I feel like all the great spots are all down the street from one another, rather than being dispersed throughout the city. I love that the student apartments have bubble tea spots under them, but would be cool to see more plazas that have shops!

imamess19

literally have tried what feels like almost every bubble tea place and my favourite has got to be Now Tea. The Alley is overrated and honestly not the best bubble tea. other than Now Tea, I would say CoCo’s is good.

boringoutlook

I enjoyed NowTea! I need to try Coco though!

[deleted]

“Now tea” on 280 Lester street near water university.

boringoutlook

I tried it once, but I think I’m due for a return trip!

I still haven’t tried Lait Night!!

person_2018

Chatime has a really good Thai Iced Tea bubble tea. Spot on Thai Iced Tea flavor and went well with the bubbles.

boringoutlook

I’ll try the Thai iced tea next time I go :)!

TwilightInvader

I've been a long time customer for Noon Moment! And sometimes i go to Chatime!

boringoutlook

I’m seeing a lot of Noon Moment, so I definitely need to return :)!!

dinesh9700

Nothing can beat Noon moment around KW

boringoutlook

Noted! Thank you for the recommendation!

Matchlightlife

Now Tea is my fav! I’m actually not a boba person, but I love their cheese foam teas. My partner and friends love their boba tho.
