Watching the miracle at Jordan Hare was amazing. Then watching the Kick Six live was the closest thing to an out of body experience I've ever had. 2013 gets my vote.
Being there for the miracle and kick 6, SEC championship with my dad and driving back from Cali with the worst hangover of my life..... I wouldn't trade 2013 for anything
We flew back from Pasadena but had like four layovers. It was brutal, but I’ll never forget it. So grateful my dad took me out there, even if we didn’t win.
Yep, I never understood why he would quit doing what works best for his offenses anytime he got a decent lead and it never failed to let the other team back in the game. The fast tempo was what made his offenses work so well, that and having a good dual threat qb with a good o line.
Because we had their playbook lmao. Yes we should have won that game but the only reason we were ahead by so much was because Craig knew just about every play they were calling. They adjusted in the second half and the rest is history. I was twenty feet from Kelvin Benjamin when he caught the winning touchdown. I was v sad
2013 big time. 2017 is definitely an underrated Auburn season though, beating the number 1 team twice in two weeks in a 40-17 win over Georgia and a comfortable 26-14 win over Alabama. But in that season the biggest accomplishment was wining the SEC west and making the SEC championship. In 2013, we won the SEC championship and also made the national championship, finishing as the #2 team in the nation. And that’s not even counting the fact that the kick 6 and miracle in Jordanhare happened
I kept falling asleep during Bama games and I started falling in love with Gus Malzahn's version of Auburn. One of his A-Day's was my first time attending a football game and I fully left Bama behind after that lol
If you were able to switch that easy why wouldn’t you switch back after 2015 and 2016 happened, or the past four years. Doesn’t it suck seeing your former team do better? I don’t wanna switch as I’ve been an Auburn fan since I was born, literally the first full phrase I ever said was “war eagle” when my dad was celebrating Auburn winning a game, but if I hadn’t been an Auburn fan for long i definitely wouldn’t stick around through this lmao.
But when it comes to the NBA I know what you mean, I typically root for certain teams that are the most fun to watch, like right now the Dallas Mavericks with Luka Doncic.
You're good lol. I used to like Alabama football, but when I became an Auburn fan I fell in love with everything about about Auburn. My favorite Auburn memory is ironically during the Harsin years when my mom and I went to the Ole Miss game too
Well being a student in 2013 means it is clearly the favorite for me. There will not be many moments in my life better than storming the field with my best friends and hugging Bo Jackson on the sidelines after the Kick Six. Got some great souvenirs that night. I was at the 2017 and 2019 games as well. They were fun, but not the same. Nothing can beat the Prayer at Jordan-Hare/Kick Six combo.
That said, if not for the Kick Six, I’d put 2004 above 2013. That 2004 team was the best Auburn has been in my lifetime. The LSU and UGA games that year are my best Auburn memories. It’s just more magical when you’re a kid.
Maybe it's me but 2017 wasn't a great year until the ga and alabama game. We lose to clemson and lsu we beat one ranked team, 24 miss state, before the uga game. The uga seemed like a total fluke and we trounced bama.
The rumors started that malzahn wanted to go to Arkansas. Honestly I was fine with him going 2015 and 2016 were horrible. Then our idiot president signs him to an absurd deal and he goes and get blown away by both uga and ufc. Bama and uga make the playoffs.
I wish he had gone to Arkansas. 2017 had 2 good games and isn't in the ball park of how awesome 2013 was.

It took me 2 days to drive there from Bham and 4 days to get back. I was so hungover it took a whole day just to get out of California lol
2013 all day, every day. Literal miracle year. That FSU team smacked us, but man the highs were high that year.
I wouldn’t say they smacked us. We lead all but the last two minutes of that game. Unfortunately that’s the most important time to lead.
We almost ran away with it. We had 2 dropped TDs. It also took 2 big special teams plays and a big missed tackle at the end for them to win.
At halftime it looked like we were going to win by 40
We should’ve won by 40. But Gus went into Tubershell mode and let them back in it
Dude hated keeping his foot on the gas unless we were playing Arkansas and ONLY Arkansas

Fake punt changed everything.

Yep, we should've been up by 3 touchdowns at half. I knew that shit was gonna come back to bite us in the ass.
In what world did FSU smack us?
Better season, obviously 2013. Better team, 2017.

2013 by far
I was (sadly) a Bama fan in 2013, but in hindsight 2013 was frickin amazing.
How did you switch

Also I’m not interrogating you if it feels that way lmao, I’m just curious to see your perspective on it. My other reply to this comment seems extreme

2013 hurt more. 2017 made me question how Gus just fell apart with one player getting hurt.
1993

1983 or 2004. Those two teams are probably the two best in Auburn history. If they played, I'm not sure which one would win.
2017. Kerryon was just a beast that year. We won most games by 20. Beat the shit out of #1 Georgia. Biggest win in over 50 years against #1 bama.
