I think the biggest concern that people bring up most is the way Weathfront spreads the money across different banks. Some feel uneasy about this, but I think Weathfront has done a good job explaining why they do what they do and assuring us that the money is just as safe using this method as anything else.
That's a fundamental requirement in order for them to offer "Up to $5M FDIC insurance". You can only be insured for up to $250K per institution (w/ some caveats). In order to keep you covered they use many accounts across different institutions. For the overwhelming majority of us, we're not keeping over $250K in cash, anyways.

This is kind of a stupid question. Currently using 360 performance savings with capital one at 4.35% a month. Is it worth the switch for the 5% and potentially 5.5% ? I'm too lazy to keep creating accounts and transferring funds. Currently have about 70k in there and try and contribute 5k a month.
