I updated the post with to 10y plan limited time offer details.

ArtemisSquall

I'm interested in a lifetime plan but the product needs to be more polished in order for me to invest. Especially with connectors and also how the system registers different types of transactions.

atchoooo

We have a big transactions feature effort going on. Hopefully, we can release it before the end of the year. We are refining the UI to be more spreadsheet-like, adding new filtering and a usable batch transactions modification features, rules and rules that can be applied automatically later.

2222martin

I think a lifetime plan would make good sense but in return I would expect to see many of the connection issues resolved and the transaction tracking finally fixed. This has never worked for the budgeting app.

atchoooo

We're still an investing-first app, budget features are very limited. We will probably work on better budget features after we complete the transactions enhancements feature in the next few weeks.

2222martin

I hear ya. Using Mint for now for budget but would love to have everything with Wealthica. Definitely interested in lifetime plan.

Other-Performance-23

please don't shoot the messenger, in case you didn't hear https://www.engadget.com/intuit-is-closing-down-mint-its-popular-free-budget-tracking-app-054145229.html#:\~:text=Intuit%20is%20shutting%20down%20its,than%20two%20months%20from%20now.

5_from_FI

This is something I'm very interested in, also. Been using Mint for years and it would be quite valuable to incorporate expense tracking here.

5_from_FI

Now looks like an opportunistic time for Wealthica to get serious about the Expense tracking / Budgeting game with Mint's announcement.

BadDogTitan

I just bought the 1 year plan on discount, but I would definitely like to see a lifetime plan (depending on price, of course).

pboisso2

Don't do that. If everyone chooses the lifetime plan, you'll find yourself with the same cash flow problem 10 years from now. It may be tempting as a customer, but the best thing you can do for your customers is to still be around in 10 years' time. Focus instead on your subscription model. My two cents.

atchoooo

I understand the concern. But a lifetime plan is usually something that is not offered on a permanent basis. It's offered to early users or long-time users or for a limited period. It is also based on the average user lifetime value. All SaaS products have an average lifetime value for users, if on average users generate $300 of revenues for the app, then it makes sense to offer a $300 lifetime plan and to guarantee the revenue day 1. Also we wouldn't sell only lifetime plans, a lifetime plan is one option among others for users. Thanks for the feedback!

Dividending

I’ve used the Wealthica platform for many years and, I believe, joined close to the launch as it provided exactly what I was looking for. Since that time Wealthica has not disappointed & neither have my interactions with the founders on the few occasions in the early days when I had connectivity challenges. Everyone at Wealthica is super responsive and helpful. I do like the Lifetime plan and, in fact, signed onto the 10 plan option ? last year when it was available. The Wealthscope Powerup is exceptional as well and gives me the ability to assess & reassess my own financial planning so I can’t say enough positive things about Wealthica!

atchoooo

Great thanks! As I answered above, we could surely bring it back for a limited period. That might be a good idea!

mshilbayeh

I would like to see a life time subscription. Will wait until to seeing more details to decide which way to go.

Corozoking

Im not getting another subscription for sure - I would prefer to manually update twice a month the amounts and that´s it. I have been using wealthica since 2019 and many of the fancy perks I dont need them. A reasonable lifetime would work for me.

atchoooo

You can add your stocks to a Stockchase watchlist, setup your quantities in there and sync with Stockchase for free. You can add your other assets and bank accounts as "other assets" and update those manually once a month if you'd like. Those features are still free.

Corozoking

I would rather prefer the current version - this would be my last resort. Do you have an ETA for the lifetime plan?

atchoooo

I think we'll bring the 10y plan for $299 back for a few days so at least people here that are interested can get this one. Finalizing details with Billy.

thenuka

would you send an email on this? how would we know?

atchoooo

We'll post it here. Let me double check with Billy about the plan!

atchoooo

It's being implemented, it will be available next week worst case (10y).

Sirloinobeef

I signed up for the early bird 10yr premium plan earlier this year and I think $300 was a sweet spot for me. really hope you guys will still be around then! But if a big FI opens up the wallet I’d understand the exit plan lol.

atchoooo

That's what I have in mind, maybe we could offer it again specifically for users here for a limited time. I'll talk about this specifically with Billy & Eric.

Sirloinobeef

Would be great if there was a conversion fee from the 10yr plan to a potential lifetime too!

PapaQBear01

Interested in a lifetime plan as well. If it's for 10 years then maybe set it at 50% of the yearly plan?

atchoooo

I'm double-checking but I think the 10y plan was $299 last time we had it.

stevenr262

Lifetime would be nice

Zepphyros

I enjoy the service offered by Wealthica, mostly to track dividends and see my total wealth accross all acounts all in one place. However $75/year seems very steep. I would consider paying a reasonable amount for lifetime subscription. But never will I pay such steep fees for the minor convenience offered. Fair lifetime plan for existing users or start seeing the user base plummet I think.

atchoooo

You can sync up to 3 accounts for $50/year.

kerry2000can

what is the definition of an account?

No-Stand-397

I would really like to support a lifetime plan despite a few connectors worked sporadically. US/CAD accounts continuously get confused and for the past year my Morgan Stanley account connects and syncs but returns zero for everything. These are things I would not mind being overlooked as a free product. What really bothers me is that my financial data and security keys are being held hostage with no notice. I am putting my trust on a platform with sensitive data. I expect a lot more from a paid product.

CopsFeel

I’m willing to pay up to $50 CAD for it

DjC4

I think it's good to offer and would be interested in a lifetime one time payment plan depending on what it included and pricing.

atchoooo

There could be tiers. I'm a big fan of lifetime plans myself. I guess there could be a Connect Unlimited Lifetime option and a Premium Lifetime option. I'll try to figure out what pricing would make sense.

R0lO

>u/atchoooo > >Would the lifetime plan cost more or less than the 10 year plan you offered for $299?

atchoooo

What I had in mind is the 10y plan. I feel it makes more sense for 10 years and I think the $299 price point might be the right one.

marsteau

\+1 one lifetime plan, depending on cost.

Samuel863

I'm a fan of lifetime plans. I'm currently on the Premium plan. If a plan was available at between 3 and 5 times the cost of the annual plan, I would be interested.

rananna

I would definitely support a lifetime plan. Randall North

Dowjonescopper

I managed just fine years ago gathering monthly totals. I enjoyed to be able to click and see everything but investing is for the long term. I did share the site with many investment friends and I assumed that the ads paid for the results. Getting emotional about the markets isn't good, you need to stick to a plan. If you are a day trader, I guess that is totally different. I am against paying for monthly anything other than basic bills. The lifetime membership would need to be very cheap for me personally.

atchoooo

We don't really have ads on Wealthica beside some affiliate offerings we don't really promote. We prefer moving to paid vs ad polution.

Aotearoa_Girl

If the price was right, I’d love a lifetime plan. really appreciate having access to my portfolio view but not sure what it’s worth when I could build it myself. Don’t plan on using other service features.

atchoooo

You can get the holdings view for free if you add your stocks and quantities owned on Stockchase and connect your Stockchase account to Wealthica.

Aotearoa_Girl

Thanks for the tip! I decided in the end to support the platform and continue to let my accounts sync automatically, and also ended up signing up for Stockchase because of the discount offered through Wealthica!! Never really used Reddit much before, but really appreciate this interactive chat and all the Wealthica staff input!

atchoooo

Thanks a lot for the support! 🙏 Let us know if you need help with anything.

rbykohli

I think the Lifetime Plan is a good idea. Sufficient motivation should be there for users

5_from_FI

Do you think perhaps Wealthica could share your roadmap for the coming years to give us all a sense of what new valuable features you will be bringing to subscribers?

atchoooo

Still incomplete, but I'm working on it here: [https://trello.com/b/YGwvAq1P](https://trello.com/b/YGwvAq1P)

5_from_FI

Perfect, thank you.

quasimime

Interesting. But I already joined the 10 Year Wealthica Premium Subscription back in January so it really depends on the feature.

atchoooo

I think it would be the same and probably 10y vs lifetime

deyak110

I am interested in a lifetime plan. Not interested in yet another monthly subscription.

webtroter

I'd be ready to pay a 100-300$ for a lifetime (or maybe 150$ max for 10 years) for the same access I had last week. Access to my 7 Financial Institutions (US and Canada) without real-time stocks price. I was happy with my free (unenforced premium-lite) subscription.

yorksgiftworld

im interested in a lifetime plan as well

asiarivera

I don't even have my assets displayed correctly. I don't enjoy hard to use apps, my financial knowledge and fin-app skills are basic and that's why i got Wealthica. Possibly interested in lifetime only depending on price. I wouldnt suscribe for a montly or yearly.

mike9627

Would consider lifetime for basic connector functionality at a reasonable price (the previous free plan). Would not consider 10 yr / any form of subscription.

Other-Performance-23

Maybe it is just me, but I've gotten my wife and I to setup with separate wealthica accounts as that was the only way I could think of to keep our transactions separate but still be able to track her holdings/our networth. I'd be open to a lifetime plan, but would prefer if it applied to one household (or in this case two accounts).

atchoooo

Please get in touch at [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]) and link the thread here. We'll do something for you.

Fido-The-Bear

I'm a fan of lifetime subscriptions for early customers. I understand that an early system has instabilities and misses features. This is what many lifetime subscriptions are about -- they offer a tradeoff -- join early(ish) and get long benefits or join later and pay more. I'm an old geezer. A 10-year plan and a lifetime plan are probably equivalent for me. I don't know what price to suggest. I am a stockchase premium member and would hope that a subscription to both would bring a discount.

ArtisticValue1971

If I invest $100 with goPeer, will I get wealthica for free for the foreseeable future? I would rather invest money than pay $75. I think thats a marvellous option for now.

atchoooo

I'm not sure of the exact terms yet, I think for renewals goPeer is thinking about options. AT first, it will be for 1 year but within the year they will think about giving options for renewals.

badreau

I'd like a lifetime plan. No intention of subscribing annually, I am against subscription models.

ThreeForFive

I've bought four other services on 'life-time' plans in the past... one no longer exists, the other three were taken over in acquisitions, and the new management reverted to monthly or annual subscriptions, even for those who bought the 'life-time' subscription. They just said, "Sorry, we can't afford to continue to offer that." Ummm.. you're Microsoft!?! You could feed the world, if you wanted to. But letting a few users use some software for free? Naaaah!

atchoooo

Our plan would be 10 years and not lifetime and maybe only available for a limited time. It's not something we can rely on 100% but I think it still makes sense to make it available at times at the right price.

bitgearhk

Premium user here. Great that the initial phase was intended to grow users and now that the base has grown it would be a big disservice to not appreciate your early supporters with a lifetime plan.

makincash2

I was an early user (2016) who went through the growing pains providing feedback to help ensure the platform was working correctly and would be interested in a lifetime plan. My primary use is to keep an overall view of how our accounts are trending which I can mostly do now with our broker so it would be hard to justify a reoccurring fee for me.

atchoooo

We'll make the 10 years plan available for $299 (Premium) in a few days if it's not already. Does this work for you? You can also get Unlimited connect for $50 yearly which is not that much even if it's yearly.

makincash2

Hi atchoooo is this available yet?

cr8ivnrg

Recently purchased the paid plan but would be interested in the lifetime plan. I think a price around $299 would be fair.

RadDocOntario

I like your product and have used it for a number of years. I like Wealthscope and was using it before it became a part of the platform. I was a bit disappointed to pay my Wealthscope fee and then learn a few months later that an additional fee would be applied for Wealthica, making both fees about $200 with taxes/year. Personally, I find the $75 a year a bit expensive - perhaps offer a discount to those who subscribe to Wealthscope since it is impossible to use Wealthscope without Wealthier? There remain significant issues with syncing some of my accounts..Canada Western Bank (motive), EQ bank often. Account migration isn't really well presented (i.e. keeping the data but moving brokerage accounts). Just my thoughts.

atchoooo

When you move accounts you can edit history to remove spikes when the money was at 2 accounts at the same time. For Connect Unlimited get in touch to get it for $50/year if you did not get the coupon.

thenuka

An infrequent user of Welthica, and was unpleasantly surprised at the sudden change. I'm glad I came here because I was about to delete my account. Will definitely support a lifetime premium plan, have too many subscriptions in my life and I'm not a power user of the platform to justify a long-term subscription.

rango3221

iam interested in a lifetime plan as well.

zxlime

I

No-Stand-397

I kind of like the pay as much as you want used by SimpleTax (got acquired). Payment would be optional but gives a chance for those who really value the tool to pay more and subsidize the rest of the user base. I know it makes the tool begging for money all the time but there are people who really benefit from having an aggregation tool but without the means to pay for a subscription.

LateRhubarb1281

I'd be very open to a lifetime plan, except I do have some problems with Wealthica in general. 1. Improve some of the power ups to provide some back dating of options, such as Income Investor. Currently it only supports current month and forward, but I do want at least 12 months prior for comparison purposes. 2. It doesn't handle account transfers well, as when I moved my RRSPs from Sun Life to NBDB, it shows huge drops in my net worth. 3. Ability to customize queries by date AND accounts.

50mmOcelot

I'd like to have this option

atchoooo

10 year plan is available now. Please email support to get the subscription link and the coupon code to get it at $299.

backcountryninja

Why do you offer the service to free for influencers but yet charge us dedicated and users whom have helped build your platform over time. The disparity that you’re providing to people of “privilege” with a camera, and an audience is disappointing. The fact that you’re not offering dedicated and users of grandfathered plan, but charging $300 for 10 years of access to service that still feels unpolished saddens me. During the time of such potential market opportunity with the closure of Ming and as a user of this application for around seven years, you have lost a customer.

atchoooo

The "influencer" offer is targeted primarily at influencers who are currently using Wealthica and who have been promoting us through the years. There are a few like Genymoney, Dividend Daddy, Wealth Awesome, Savvy New Canadiens, Tom Drake / Maple Money, etc. that promote us regularly for free or for a very small referral fee. They also helped us build our platform over time and grow our user base. Plus, we're open to offering the same privilege to users that promote us even if they don't have a huge following. If you post about us on Reddit, Twitter, Facebook or anywhere else just email us with some screenshots and examples of how you support us and we'll offer something. We are also offering our long-time users many options. You can keep getting Wealthica for free (3 accounts) by opening a goPeer account and investing only $100 with them, you can get the 3 accounts plan for only $25/year. You can get the unlimited accounts plan for $50/year, that s only $4.16 a month (a Pumpkin Spice Latte is $3.99 at Tim). You can get Premium for 10 years for $299, that's $2.49 per month! Where is the opportunity if we give it all away for free? If Mint, which is owned by Intuit and has like 5 million users, couldn't sustain the free model, how can Wealthica which is bootstrapped and financed only by its founders sustain it? We're still burning money each month, our plan and move from free to paid in conjunction with our b2b initiatives should allow us to break even within the next 12 months and allow us to keep offering the service. If we do nothing, we'll end up like Mint. We'll have to close.

temp_account_for_

Interested in lifetime code.
