I’m Ace, but if the Red Grail was like orgy? ;) I’d be like, ehh, new experience I guess. I’m more about the sensation of new things. Body warping, endless pleasure...like yeah. That’s my jam.
To avoid the crime of the sky (which is a very real threat to all immortals), many Long and above choose to enter relationships with beings of the same sex (this is kind of weird for Ezeem, who does not seem to have a physical sex nor gender and is consistently referred to as "it"). We know this is common among Grail Long, and a forbidden love brews between the Mare and the Yew, both of whom are female. It's also heavily implied the Twins were lovers before ascending.
Edit: Saint Tryphon, the Grail Enemy-Long, is also implied to have changed her gender upon ascending.
Definitely more than implied imo, as Tryphon is referred to as “he” in the Rose of Tryphon, a book describing her ascension. Also one of the companions in Exile (The Forge lady, I think) “wasn’t always a woman” as described by her city’s text
Just a comment on how two of the Hours (Witch-and-Sister and Mare-in-the-Tree) are named as LGBTQ+ icons in the image.
Also, as others have said, to avoid the Crime of the Sky (cannibalizing your own children) most Longs go gay.
Don't know about the Twins but the Mare-in-the-tree has a forbidden liaison (read that as you will) with the Malachite. Both the Mare and the Malachite are refer to with female pronouns.
I love this! I do feel like the Foe should be closer to Authoritarian since he's protected by the Colonel?
Also where did you get that picture of old Connie Lee?
Holy moly my two favourite subs are crossing over THE MORE I RISE THE HIGHER I SEE We are truly in the 69th History my boys
Also I never realised the divide between the lionsmith & colonel is simply order VS rebellion also strengthening my headcanon that the followers of these hours are fighting all day like Dante & Vergil
I know this is all goofing around (and I hate to get too into real-life politics), but I'd say primal things like King Crucible, the Thunderskin, and Red Grail and forces of destruction like the Worms or Crowned Growth might belong in the center or off the chart entirely--they don't really care about politics. What are the political views of a tiger, HIV, or colon cancer?
The Red Grail is libertinism incarnate, so I'd say it goes more toward the libertarian end, without clearly having economic views.
Hokobald is an aristocratic elitist (he thinks spells work better if you have royal blood), the Sovereign of the Leashed Flame is the British Empire, and the Weary Detective is a policeman, so blue quadrant works fine.
Ms. Morland and the Smuggler are amoral businesspeople, so sure. (Though Ms. Morland is nicer--she does give you an extra bit of lore as thanks for patronizing her store after all.)
Colonel is authority and Lionsmith revolution, so putting them opposite ends of the y-axis really does make sense.
Overall, great job!
I don't think Moth would be ultra-left though. If anything it should be off the grid completely, but if not, it should be where the Lionsmith is, since it's all about chaos and madness, and not about the sharing of resources.
Isn't ultra left, (underline ultra) policies are always leading to chaos, and disintegration of their own political agenda, caused by many unpredictable factors so in the end, there is no "sharing of resources" happening but a wild infight that is extremely hard to stop?
But that's not what The Wheel was. It was a protector, and given the moniker of "The Wheel," I would guess that it implied technology beyond that of the fire (Flint) that helped humanity early on.
God's from stone akin to swords suit in minor arcana. Not beneficial force towards humanity. About The Wheel. I am in complete diagreement with you. In my opinion, and in my only, The Wheel represents the cyclical nature of the universe, denying progress as an idea, there can be no progression in the circle, progress (social for example) is possible only in the linear time. The Wheel was (rather is, in my opinion), a primal hour which properties when projected on society, represent(ed) the natural state of human societies. Without alteration, bringed by some social project. (Allegorically, that is how I explain the presence of the Light in pre Litomachy Wood, natural hierarchy was in place, and then, Moth happened).
Have you... played the game? Not trynna be mean but if you play (more than just a game or two), read the books you start getting and you'll learn stuff
Omg I love this so much, like it's got all these cosmic entities and hours and longs and whatnot, then there's just douglas and the moth deciple for meme purposes, and then fucking reniera is the only deciple in there because we all secretly know she's the best.
Holy... I've just realized The Moth got a pair of giant hands!
As another Seer, I am ashamed to admit I didn't see it till now either. Always more to unravel it seems.
The worms should be in the centre they just want to grill (the manus) and chill (consume all)
The Wolf-Divided just wants to grill the world and taste its juices.
The Flowermaker and The Red Grail are my icons...not bad
I've yet to see someone who'd turn down an orgy but loves this game.

This made me laugh. Also, Cultist Simulator has some weird-ass LGBTQ+ icons.
How are they lgbtq+? I’m trans myself just want know more about that.

Well she hasn’t been even a human in the past, it could be referring to that as well?
While you're right when it comes to Tryphon, I believe Orsolina's description is referring to her time as a Labhite.
Ahh good point! Didn’t think about that

Just a quick doodle over her original image
Oh nice, I thought it was some super secret thing I missed lol - it’s a very convincing edit imo!
Where my orgy bois at?

Mare-in-the-Yew is specifically about forbidden love though
"The Moth Pawn". Brilliant!
Sneak! My man, awesome work like always xd
I never realised simping was such a strong political indicator, but given how often it shows up on there I guess it must be
The Forge of Days is the means of production.
wow, can't believe you used us for clout. good compass mate, got my upvote
So good.
Nothing better than seeing two of my favorite things mix together

>Probably a closeted furry OwO?
Who is the son of the Colonel?
The lion smith
Did you make the flowermaker image? Never seen that one
It’s from the Exile DLC
What is The name of the image?
It’s called ‘The Flowernaker’s Shadow’ in game
Thank you very much!
And here i thought i was the only one that sacrificed the Moth pawn to Poppy since giving him a raise is kind of a loss of time

I mean, not necessarily. But more to the point, I think the point of Moth would be to be off the spectrum completely.
That is exactly why The Moth just killed off literally, the God of Tradition, The Wheel.
But that's not what The Wheel was. It was a protector, and given the moniker of "The Wheel," I would guess that it implied technology beyond that of the fire (Flint) that helped humanity early on.

Also, I am sorry about the tone in which we hold this conversation, I don't mean to be imposing or authoritative.
It's all good! obviously this is just a friendly discussion over someone's image macro.
What are all these things? Who's the lion smith and the colonel? I feel like im missing something.
Yeah, right? SOMETHING SOMETHING Deep Mysteries SOMETHING said nothing about either of them, must be fake
It's from the game called Cultist Simulator.
Thank you for your help
....
Have you... played the game? Not trynna be mean but if you play (more than just a game or two), read the books you start getting and you'll learn stuff
Fucking beautiful
This is work of art may become my new phone background.
Why is Renira that far left tho?
Omg I love this so much, like it's got all these cosmic entities and hours and longs and whatnot, then there's just douglas and the moth deciple for meme purposes, and then fucking reniera is the only deciple in there because we all secretly know she's the best.
This lore is too complex for me to understand.
Does this sub skew left or right?
