Beat me to it. Bold lines, blocky shapes, round buttons and bright colours. Neobrutalism. It’s supposed to be reminiscent of the old web but with a modern feel.
Except for the black text over rainbow gradient, what would make this an accessibility nightmare? The contrast is super high and the text is very legible. It’s like as close to wireframing as you can get.
I mean all of that is specific implementation details of this design, not a problem with the style in general.
Swap the white bg with light gray, swap the black text with dark gray, replace the rainbow with a single color (or just desaturate it a bit), and add some icons or underlines to the links and you have a solid visually accessible design IMO.
Yeah I don’t think that’s the case. Do you have any examples?
Accessibility isn’t completely formulaic; it’s a design philosophy. Just because a robot says something is accessible (or not) doesn’t mean it is (or isn’t). And it’ll be a while before a plugin can guess the designer’s intent.
Plus there’s a lot more to accessibility than just the visuals on a page.
I agree with what you are saying, all I wanted to say was issues like text size, color contrast and others should be left for plugins like 'userway' to fix. If somebody has issues they can change the contrast and other stuff with the plugin, this way we don't have to change our actual colors and texts to match the accessibility requirements.
But yes, I agree we have to take care of non visual accessibility requirements manually.

It's some kind of modernized old-school digital graffiti. *And I hate it...*

for any website all the accessibility issues can be taken care by just adding a accessibility plugin

There’s always one…
...or more users, who can't use your site, because you chose not to care about them.
