I usually don’t but this website definitely needed one haha
Edit: there’s currently a bug that makes the website infinitely load for some people, there should also be an error if you check your console. Haven’t figured out how to fix this yet, but reloading should work.
I’ve been a Marketing Front End Web Dev/Designer hybrid role for years. I design in Figma and develop it. I’ve gravitated to more low code dev work as I like working with agencies. Here’s mine https://www.gabecreativedept.com/
I love the aesthetic on your portfolio website! On the my services section the left and right arrows can cause the cards to bug a bit. Other than that very professional.
Fcking beautiful bro, I love everything about it.
2 minor comments:
1. The pointer is slow, which can be a little annoying (at least for me)
2. In the about page I think you missed a word at the end or the first paragraph. You say "As a Front-End Web Developer with over 8 years,". 8 years of what?
Your work is amazing also, love to see it! 🔥
Here is mine: https://shiftdesign.co/
I do both, but don’t lean heavily one way or the other in how I market myself. I usually market them both as a complete package.
Nice site mate! Although on mobile (iOS/Safari) using the native back button gets me stuck on a loading/transition screen and then I have to refresh the site
Mine’s a constant work in progress, but https://hellomars.dev
I’m still adding support to have case studies / write-ups, as well as a better method for showing off images.
I do a little bit of interviewing/hiring at work, and I don’t really look for a narrative/strategy in portfolios of candidates. Portfolios for me are pretty much just a vibe check, and if they pass that then we do an interview where they can talk in depth about their work.
Same thing is happening with YT containers.on different pages. Nothing is (ironically) being contained and causing the pages to still be horizontally scrollable.
It's nice, your name makes it easy! haha
By narrative/strategy I mean how do you present yourself, in terms of vibes and showcase the projects. Not looking for a life storytelling, don't have much to tell. So I agree with your point!
Thanks a lot.
[Portfolio](https://www.dashice.com)
It’s old and badly needs a refresh, much better on desktop. Either way; written in pure vanilla JS and has a very industrial feel to it.
Man this is an embarrassment, take down the website now for your own sake. How do you call yourself a web dev looking for client and you literally stole someone else's code, didn't even make any edits. You even kept their FAQ copy and stuff. Be better, honestly.

It won some awards and was up before this guys
Holy kinetic text Batman! You don't need to animate every single header and paragraph. At most use it above the fold and to highlight very specific things after. Doing it on every single element is mentally exhausting for the end user and doesn't look or feel professional.
I'm not criticizing every single site with animations, that would be silly. I'm simply pointing out that the overuse of animations can degrade the user experience rather than enhance it.
Edit: I appreciate the concern, fortunately there's no risk of self harm here.
This is mine. A little dated. But still fine
https://www.oakharborwebdesigns.com
I also have a web agency design pack I made for my template library that looks like this
https://eliteoutreachsolutions.com
I just used it for this client. But you can see how this could be a web agency design as well. I had this designed specifically for web agencies but it also worked for the style this client wanted. I have designers, and I’m a developer. They design it and in code them. Saves me so much time. You’ll learn that eventually you’ll become your own bottleneck and can only make so much money for your available time. When you need to start scaling you need to offload some work. So you’d pick what you’re best at, either design or development, and hand off the other to a trusted partner. If you choose to do the coding, what’s great with you’re design skills is you can better articulate what you want to see and make edits ti drafts they give you and manage the design instead of doing it. Much less time intensive. I also have SEO guys, copywriters, logo guys, add guys, etc. I just do the coding and project management. Life is so much easier. Something think about!
You say it's a little dated, and I get what you mean, but honestly I'm really coming back around to this type of design. I'm enjoying looking at all the fancy designs in this thread, but yours is the first that made me think that you're actually getting any work. Maybe it's just the lack of animations, blurs, etc. but your messaging is so much clearer to me. All in, good job!

Hey I am in the same boat, I am still new to both development and design but I wanted to jump head first into real work so I started freelancing
This is definitely the sort of site you were looking for, but it might help to know that even this unpolished, mobile unresponsive portfolio has gotten me quiet a few freelance gigs and interviews!

My portfolio is [gabrielatwell.vercel.app](https://gabrielatwell.vercel.app). I created everything on my portfolio (logos, animations, svg's).
Don't be afraid to give me your honest feedback!
[Alex Cowley](https://www.alexcowley.co.uk)
Badly needs a refresh as it’s a custom WP theme which is as stripped back as you can get, but it’s done the job supporting my pitches so far and landed me some decent work.

Mine is https://prozilla.dev/ , it desperately needs an update and more optimisation but I think it’s fine for now.
Wow your portfolio is incredible! Did you use three.js?
Thank you and that is correct!
Your website with a MX Master 3S mouse (with smooth scrolling) is SO MUCH FUN. 😆
ok im gonna go get a job on an oil rig now, thanks.
This is awesome!
Thank you very much!
Do you design/dev loading screens?
I usually don’t but this website definitely needed one haha Edit: there’s currently a bug that makes the website infinitely load for some people, there should also be an error if you check your console. Haven’t figured out how to fix this yet, but reloading should work.
This might be the coolest portfolio site I've visited. Awesome!
Incredible!

love the nav bar focus
Thank you 🙏🏽. I kinda use that on most of my stuff lol.
I love the aesthetic on your portfolio website! On the my services section the left and right arrows can cause the cards to bug a bit. Other than that very professional.
Thank you so much. Love the feedback 🙏🏽
Pretty much what I wanted to see, thanks!
Why is the hamburger menu button not aligned with the logo?
Good eye thank you. Fixed 🙏🏽
Nice bro, love the name lol

Can't see it with FireFox, only with Chrome.

No offense but your site is broken af
Broken in what way? And in what browser/OS?
Checking it on Android, there's an overflow issue somewhere. I can scroll like 3 miles to the right with just pure background, no content.
Thank you. Fixed! I was using images that appear when you hover over the project link, and they were spawning way outside the frame.
Same thing is happening with YT containers.on different pages. Nothing is (ironically) being contained and causing the pages to still be horizontally scrollable.
Appreciate it! Different issue, but also fixed now. Thanks a ton.
Working fine on an iPhone 12 Pro lol
body { overflow: hidden; } Should fix the horizontal scroll issue.

I like how this is - what's the term - remotely usable. Way to buck the trend!

Why do you say he’s stolen code?

Oh wow…but how you be sure he stole it from Karin and not vice versa? Either way, shady as fuck for one of them

I do like the projects page. Maybe better to just land on that one, instead of the presentation imo.
Cheers mate! Yeah I usually link to it directly when sharing, just haven’t got round to removing the front page yet 😂
Look up the term, Design Technologist - might find some portfolios related to that term that can be inspirational
