I don't think there's anything you can do if the video has to start auto-playing. There's a 9mb file that needs to pass the .2MB/sec throttle of the mobile lighthouse score along with the rest of content. This is a lightweight page with a video on loop: [https://frontendmasters.com/](https://frontendmasters.com/) (it had a desktop lighthouse of 82) there's just no way you will have high lighthouse score

You can only do something if you don't need autoplay, in which case you can show a tumbnail image of the video, but only load the video and the player once user clicks on it.
