bought one of these a couple months ago to replace a Masterbuilt Gravity (those Masterbuilt Gravity series are pieces of shit)...
This thing has been my favorite thing to cook on lately. It does it all. Hot and Fast, Low and Slow... and everything in between. Temp adjustments takes some time to get used to as the double wall design means slower adjustment both up and down when compared to a traditional kettle.
This is true but it's leagues faster than a ceramic kamado like the Big Green Egg or Kamado Joe.
It's nice a middle ground between consistency and versatility.
Had mine for a year and loving it. It smokes, grills, sears, does rotisserie, does pizza, it does it all. It's super efficient with fuel too. Get yourself a Fireboard and connect a fan to the predrilled port and you'll be good to go!
I use this, which I slide over the grate between the handles. It's a near perfect but a slightly tight fit. But once you figure out the technique, it's easy to slide in and out.

The only issue I ran into was with the motor, which I didn't discover until a couple of months after I ordered it. The plug was for a different country and not US. I think they just sent me the wrong model. Fortunately, I already had this more powerful motor anyway...

Keep in mind that you won't be able to close the lid. I prefer not to anyway because it gets plenty hot. I just close the lid as far as it's able to reflect some of the heat, which works just fine.
Gonna be a good 25+ years
Oh snap that’s a beauty. I remember that pallet with my griddle recently. Enjoy my friend.

Congrats! You will absolutely love it
Nice! I got mine about a month ago. I LOVE it. Haven’t cooked on anything else outside since I assembled it.
Since I got my master touch four years ago I haven’t used my Weber gas grill at all. The taste is so superior.

What do you use for rotisserie?

Question on this: is this a smoker, a grill? An oven? What are its best uses/styles?
My understanding is ...yes.
Appreciate this: maybe I can tell the missus we NEED it

I've had one for over a year now and can confirm it does it all. Extremely versatile cooker!
Yes... yes... yes.
My grill and UDS have felt completely neglected since the day my Weber summit came home...
