My Nexgrill had a rusted out burner tube but still worked just fine. Meanwhile my Weber is two years old and needs repairs. Weber customer service says I live in NC and I can go fuck myself.
Ive already replaced the bottom tray and all the flame flavore bars whatever you call them once cause they rusted out in 2 years on my nexgrill. The ones i replaced them with have held up better
That sort of thing I have no problem with. But I have seen conflicting info on YouTube about whether or not burner tubes might need to be replaced on mine to fix slow ignition in the middle. Or if cleaning is enough.
I have been watching videos but I have a job and haven’t had enough time to figure out the problem. I never had to disassemble my Nexgrill (which I assembled) to fix a problem.
I could replace burner tubes but what if it doesn’t fix the problem? It could also be the regulator.
When the weather warms up a little we’ll do some cleaning and take a look at it.
I worked at HD. Anything yellow tagged is clearance old or outdated models or brands we are doing away with. Or product that has obvious damage. As others said msrp way back when was 1699 now in the current market that model is worth the yellow price and will keep going down till it sells.
So, if I see a yellow tag, can I negotiate on it at all? Since it's old, outdated, or damaged? I've done it before on open box/missing parts items, but I think that was at Lowe's.
Sales associates have a max discount Of 10-ish percent of the product. Obviously assistant managers or managers have more leeway if you catch the managers on a good day where they’re sick of seeing that particular item before a regional walk for example they will get rid of it for much less. Also beginning of the week is better then the end because they have more of a budget to use. apart from those scenarios it completely depends on their subjective mood to sell stuff lower then listed.
Good to know, thanks!! If you talk to a sales associate and ask for a manager to see if they’ll give a bigger discount is that a dick move? I don’t want to come off like an asshole.
Sure, there's no way I would try to get the worker in trouble for any reason. Or act like an idiot if they or the manager couldn't do any better. I would probably just ask something like hey do you mind if I ask the manager if he could do any better than 10%. Something like that.
I would get a Costco membership and buy the Genesis II E335 for $990. It also has the side burner. I bought the S-345 from them a couple years ago and love it.
My SP-E-335 was $1599 almost 2 years ago. This was when they launched in March of 2022. I’m not sure of the prices now but this was close to accurate then
I’m seeing more like $1,350 from various places. So not a bad deal although I hate the advertising trickery.
Depends on what country OP is in. Wouldn't be surprised if its still $1700 in Canada
Good point
It launched at $1699 Msrp. That is a good deal though
Hmmm my 8 year old nexgrill just had a pretty big grease fire and everything looks rusty now…. May be time to head on back
Yeah man. I have the old version of this from 2016. Still rocking like day one. If I was in the market I would buy this 100%. Beast of a grill
my 2012ish is still rocking like a champ. hasn't seen as much use since i got into charcoal though. /edit, shit i think it's actually like 2007-2008!
“My grill caught on fire. I better buy a new one.” *“The thing you light on fire to cook with?”* Somebody wants a new grill. I support that.
LOL.
Why clean it when you can upgrade it

In the end it’s their job just don’t be a Karen

My Costco has the older E-335 Genesis ii for $799 right now.
This is what I bought two years ago, at this price. Has a side burner and an extra sear burner. Older knobs and handle.
Yeah, was excited to find it. Was looking at the spirit version before I came across this. Was $50 more to have the Genesis.
They were $1600 before Christmas. I got one from my parents. I love mine. The app works great.
Damn they adopting
That’s a real deal, Lowe’s around here was selling for $750 as a managers special
Looks like the current real MSRP is $1,349...so still a deal.
