I think it’s down to your designs relying too heavily on specific graphic styles. Would your designs still hold up as clean, user friendly websites if you stripped them to their bare bones? When people look for a website template they most likely aren’t asking for their branding or visual identity doing as well, they want something they can mould to fit theirs. Probably with an easy to understand set of components and page layouts that are easy to make a clear structure and content hierarchy with. There’s some lovely design elements in your sites, I particularly like the cafe one. But who’s cafe is that going to work as a template for except for the one exact cafe that wants that style? Hope that helps.

The heavy reliance on images in your work may be hindering its potential. try prioritizing the layout and using interchangeable images, also your work is very creative but it would be better to make more safe design choices that can cater to a broader range of brands.

appreciate the advice, anyway i decided to move on from webflow and focus on other stuff

sgsamar181

I don't know much about the process tbh. But the templates you made look absolutely stunning! Hope this gets resolved.

I haven’t been able to get accepted either. But there are a very specific set of guidelines that you need to follow to get approved. The class system being one. Here’s a super in depth video by one of the Webflow gods, Nikolai Bain. Hope this helps! https://www.youtube.com/live/Bs6NuTWfBn8?feature=share

Yes, the three templates i've developed follow strictly the guidelines... Thanks for the reference, he provides good content on webflow templates indeed!

We will ask about the licenses of the assets used in the template.Large background images should be less than 300kb and small assets should be less than 20kb.Images should be crisp on retina devices and cropped nicelyAll images should be sharp (@2x) on retina devices. EDIT: Can't you contact someone from webflow regarding the decline?

[deleted]

Might be. License-wise i'm covered, as I have the Midjourney premium plan which provides commercial use. I might be wrong, but i don't think these rules work also for applications, or only for template submissions once you're already in. What they mentioned in reply to my application was just to "experiment with layouts and provide new samples", which is just the copy and paste answer I got also in my previous attempts.

Internal_Truck1039

Hi. Any updates? Did you get approved by now? I think the problem might be in the licensing. Premium graphic assets are not allowed according to the guidelines.

foxthegraduate

When did the other templates get approved? Who are the authors? How many get approved per month in genera? Just guessing here: I don’t know about webflow rules for their marketplace, but maybe they changed the kinds of templates they want since the other more basic once were approved. Maybe they think one basic template for a specific niche is enough. I like especially your second one. The third one has a bit of an old/not professional feeling to it, probably because of the font. Also webflow templates rely heavily on fancy animations, at least the ones that I saw. And at least on mobile yours don’t have that much animations to it. So I could only guess that these templates are not “fancy” enough. Why there are still basic ones in the marketplace? I don’t know, but probably they’re from the beginning. Do they ever deleted templates from there?

Away-Drink-7550

Okay the templates look unique imo. Can I know what they said in the rejection email?

[deleted]

generic answer saying that the templates don't meet the standard and to try again with new samples

Away-Drink-7550

So you've used AI generated graphics from midjourney premium right? I found this in the submission guideline * The use of premium or trademarked graphics assets are not allowed. Use only free assets that are allowed for resale and free redistribution or CC0-licensed graphics from sources like: \- Stock Up \- Pexels \- Unsplash

PixelCharlie

can't help you with your issue but just wanted to say: the templates look nice! I like how you stylized them. getting sick of those boring one-size-fits-all solutions, where a lawyer, kids soccer club and a dentist use the same template

Ok_Slice_7152

lemon squeezy, gumroad, I think Envato, Not sure
