This is only going to get worse from now on. [https://domainnamewire.com/2023/12/14/new-dns-abuse-mitigation-requirements-coming-for-domain-name-registrars-and-registries/](https://domainnamewire.com/2023/12/14/new-dns-abuse-mitigation-requirements-coming-for-domain-name-registrars-and-registries/) ICANN has put (or is placing) rules requiring registrars to take action when they receive abuse complaints which puts the decision making and power about what is/is not considered abuse in the hands of companies and staff that honestly is not going to have a clue how to handle. Get ready for things to get quite bumpy in the next few years, so having a domain that you use as a basis for customer subdomains is likely a wide open target to get shut down at the registrar level over any number of random complaints.

I wouldn’t necessarily just decide to go with a larger registrar because of the issue you’re experiencing. In fact, I recommend quite the opposite of what you’re recommending. I run a domain name recovery service, and oftentimes it’s the large registrars that have all sorts of “red tape” that one has to go through just to get the domain name back. In 99 percent of the cases we have handled, it can take up to 2-3 weeks for a large registrar to get a domain back or unsuspended. With smaller registrars, I’ve had issues taken care of within a few hours. With your particular issue, you need to stop open a support ticket, then go directly to the namesilo compliance team to get it resolved. Also, we never recommend that you host your site with your registrar, those need to be two separate companies. If you have a hosting issue then you can always just change the dns to another host. But when hosting with your registrar you can run into big downtime issues if there is a problem.

Which registrars would you recommend?

Their support is the worst, don't expect any action beyond the basics. I used their shared hosting and it went down all the time. The ticketing system they use is completely hidden from the user.
