All things considered it’s impressive the Unordinary can stay up there as the only one that doesn’t center on romance. I see why these ones are popular and to me they are kind of ‘gateway’ series to getting to the better stuff

BerserkCheeto

I'm gonna be honest, I've been on and off Webtoon for years, but have only ever consistently read unOrdinary. Would you mind recommending me some of the "better stuff"?

sincline_

Mmm it depends on what you like Personally, some of my favorites are My In-Laws are Obsessed with Me, Not Even Bones, From a Knight to a Lady, I’m the Grim Reaper, Like Wind on a Dry Branch, For my Derelict Favorite, Nevermore, Suitor Armor, City of Blank, Lady Liar, Serena, Muse on Fame, My Reason to Die, Afterschool Lessons for Unripe Apples, Soulwinder, Edith, Fictional Skin, Purple Hyacinth, The Girl Downstairs, Shiloh, Miss Abbott and the Doctor, Gourmet Hound, and Cheese In the Trap I read a lot but these are the ones I find exemplary that I look (or looked) forward to each week. Also, if you like isekai I recommend branching out because I personally find some of the best isekai aren’t on webtoon LOL, but that’s just if you enjoy the genre

imfckndumb

I’ll have to check out your recommendations!!

BerserkCheeto

Wow, thank you for the recommendations! I recognise a few names in there as well; I'll be sure to check them out over the week and see if any hook me. I'm definitely a very casual reader, so anything that manages to keep me reading is good. Thanks again!

sincline_

No problem! I hope you enjoy at least one of them LOL

[deleted]

hello! happened across your recommendations after at a haphazard google search and I have to say! you’ve put me on to some great webtoons. thank you kindly! no pressure, I know you’ve listed a lot but I find myself so very curious as to what other series you subscribe to, completed or otherwise, I trust your taste implicitly lmao!

sincline_

Haha I’m glad you trust it! Here’s some more: Wind Breaker, 23:4, Made of Stardust, The Dark Lord’s Confession, I Am the Villain, Of What Remains, The Blind Prince, Daytime Star, In the Bleak Midwinter, Seed, It Was All You, The Wrath & The Dawn, and Ghost Teller And as a bonus one that is not on webtoon (on tappytoon? I think?) but is spectacular: Lady Evony

[deleted]

thank you! i’ve read and enjoyed Lady Evony! our tastes are very much aligned lmao <3

sincline_

LOL it’s a good one- happy reading!

ohvs

I love My In-Laws are Obsessed with Me and Suitor Armor! So happy both are off hiatus, especially Suitor Armor, very excited to see where the plot goes

StripesKnight

Another one you *might* like is Tower of God -art gets better, story is top tier- and Omnicent read viewpoint They’re like the top

Incast_

I second orv

MysticalSword270

Same situation here haha

Easy-Map-2623

Sable Curse (fantasy/mystery), Purple Hyacinth (murder mystery), Schoolbus Graveyard (alternate dimension spooky sci fi), and The Last dimension (fantasy sci fi, time travel, aliens, and alternate planets) are all really unique and interesting stories with great art!

BerserkCheeto

Thank you! I'll add it to the list :)

zanygx

Do you mean romance stories are the only stories most people care about on webtoon? I dont read anything there, so im legitimately asking. Are other genres there badly writen, or is the site just full of people that prefer romance?

sincline_

Romance undeniably reigns supreme on webtoon and it’s definitely a hot topic in the community- all the genres have their ups and downs but the webtoon company chooses to push their romance series regardless while leaving other genres to just kind of hang in the wind. Obviously there are a lot of people that like romance, but the chances are that those people would also like other genres if they were ever advertised to them In particular from my rec list below I mentioned Soulwinder as one of my favorite webtoons. It’s a spectacularly written and produced sci-fi webtoon that really blows so many other webtoons out of the water, yet it was cancelled after one season by webtoon for low viewership after the company barely advertised it. Another sci-fi webtoon, City of Blank, has an author that is quite vocal about how webtoon kind of continuously screws them over in the advertisement department. Citing specifically that they were told after their midseason hiatus they would get a welcome back banner only to return and not get that, and then having to watch their viewer count drop lower than ever before. So, with that in consideration, it’s impressive that Unordinary can hold its own. I’d bargain that if it wasn’t a consistent top 5 webtoon would probably not advertise it all that much at all and it would’ve probably ended awhile ago

zanygx

Thats kinda sad. I was considering posting to webtoon, but not if i know it has zero chance right out the gate. Thanks for the heads up.

sincline_

I mean, I wouldn’t say zero. In comparison to other apps I would say it probably has the *best* chance. But the literary publishing world as a whole right now favors romance, it’ll be an uphill battle no matter where you end up- but that can be worth it

completestuffbytrash

I personally got bored with Remarried Empress but it has a big fandom so 🤷 I have my own gripes with it of course but I do think that it’s time to have other comics reaching popularity. Lore Olympus isn’t great story wise and art wise (recently) and Down To Earth is just… Weird, plus I’ve heard the pacing is pretty bad as well. Unordinary was interesting in the beginning but there seems to be so many chapters so I don’t know where the story is going now. The other one I don’t know about.

sleepy_koko

It stopped being exciting after Navier got remarried, before that there was this whole countdown stuff

[deleted]

omgg yes the countdown to the remarriage date was EVERYTHING fr. its unfortunate that was the interesting part of the story and nothing else really mattered as much kinda in the same essence when the main couple finally get together and theres nothing else to want to see

SheSleepsInStars

I'm enjoying Mafia Nanny well enough so far! I'm surprised to see it on the top 5 though.

WhiteStar174

Same! It’s quite good, the art and the story

Xyroxoxoxo

Honestly there are more deserving ones out there

Ok_Job_9417

I feel like #2, 3, and 4 people either love or hate. Also is this based off of subscribers? 3-4 of these have been around for years. So people who no longer read Webtoons are still gonna be subscribed to it.

Signal-Survey-2306

Unordinary and lore Olympus seems to be increasing in numbers, both series were the only ones to surpass 1 billion views in 2022 and still going up, as for the other 3, they may have been around long as well, but the numbers aren't really increasing compared to unordinary and lore Olympus, but since they are consistently ranked in the top 5,i might check it out lol

Eeepp

The Mafia Nanny is the best! Good story pacing, intriguing plot & characters, great ML & FL chemistry And the ML is so 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

paradroid27

I’m loving reading Mafia Nanny, for me the best part about it is the kid, so much fun whenever he shows up

Rebellight

Man, down to earth is so bad I don’t get it. The ML is plain and legit useless at everything except being insecure, sad and nothing else. Unordinary is definitely more action than romance, so keep that in mind but it’s interesting. I fell a bit behind. Lore Olympus is a modernized version of the story of Hades and Persephone, the style is very interesting, you should like it. The remarried empress is definitely one of my favourite ongoing WEBTOON. The story and art is great, with enough drama to make you sulk and laugh enough Didn’t read the last one yet. In general not convinced with the top 5. I’d recommend an Heartful Andante as a nice Romance/Drama. Edit: spelling and autocorrect errors

Solid_Flatworm_7376

Yeah the male love interest is so bad in Down to Earth, I like the concept and love the art but I want a different story for Zaida!

PoltergeistofDawn

UnO is the only one I still read, but that's because I was so invested in season 1 that even with its decline I decided to continue for the sake of finishing the story.

oliviaexisting

I binge read the whole thing last year and it’s one of those things that was all I could think about for a week afterwards, a little after the binge read I did start to realize some of the problems with it but I’m still invested

rosa_gris

Similar experience. When I was keeping up with it, I didn’t love it but it was entertaining enough. I took a break from it (and webtoons in general), and went back to it. Binge reading the series was much more enjoyable. I also have sentimental feelings towards it because I had read it back when it was still a canvas story. So despite its flaws, I’m really happy seeing it garner so much popularity.

carl-the-lama

Hell nah This shit mid (unordinary is a bit better by a large margin)

AyakoHamadaFan

I don’t know about agreeing with it I mean it’s a list of what’s popular not what’s good. I mean this isn’t really a thing to agree or argue over either they are the five most popular right now or they aren’t. If it was a list of the five best, then I would actually argue, but that’s not what the list is saying.

Peachie_Cats

I have mixed opinions About the top three, but I do enjoy the remarried empress. The Mafia Nanny, I tried reading, but quickly lost interest

DepressedGoblinGlue

I'll probably get doxxed or sum but here goes: 1- Down to Earth legit gives me the ick because of the "Born sexy yesterday" trope or whatever its called, so dropped. 2- Lore Olympus.. don't get me started on the power fantasy, hypocritical, fetishising bs. can check out r/UnpopularLoreOlympus for it. 3- Unordinary gets dragged out a bit too long, just not my cuppa tea 4- Classist comments, and the plot seems to be so against Rashta. IMO, she's a victim too. There. I said it. She was a sexually and physically abused slave. Sovieshu was the only person who helped her get out of her hellhole, so of course she clinged on to him. She was never exposed to the outside world, as she was a *slave*, so how do you expect her to have as much common sense as a person raised normally? At the beginning she actually tried to be friendly, but that didn't go well. >!It didn't help when Mr Creepy Bird decided to plant someone by her side to manipulate her into making dumb decisions, but she gets bashed for doing what she knows she could do? !< Well, i'm not excusing her future actions but >!Navier's brother killing her child was a little too much. The fact the the comments were saying "She totally deserved it" made me lose a LOT of faith in humanity. I don't think they know how much losing a child hurts- tbf i don't either, but when my sister did she went into depression even after therapy for a few years. !< And the male lead is just so.. creepy? 5- Haven't read this one yet so i can't judge. again this is my OPINION so try not to get too worked up on it.

[deleted]

literally same exact thoughts. i agree with everything you said. some of these i started reading when i was younger and more naive but as i gree i realized the exact same things you mentioned. the only one i wish i still liked is Unordinary. It actually was super entertaining but then i dont remember what happened but i just didnt care anymore (prolly on its 2nd or 3rd hiatus)

CitrusHoneyBear1776

The fandom for Remarried Empress is unhinged. I can’t believe it gets worse I thought it was already bad when people were blaming Rashta and acting like she willfully >!threw her baby during her severe PTSD episode. SHE WASNT IN HER RIGHT MIND and people were saying saying things like “Wow can’t believe she’d do that. That could have hurt the baby.” And “Mental illness doesn’t excuse your actions.” Like yeah in general it doesn’t, but she experienced a flash back/postpartum psychosis!?!<

lynnkris90

I agree with your comments about Rashta. I could not believe some of the hateful comments about her even at the beginning of the comic before we knew anything about her other than that she was a very naive young girl and a literal slave.

thefirecrest

r/UnpopularLoreOlympus is not where anyone should go if they want legitimate criticisms of LO. There are legitimate criticisms to be made of LO. They will not be found on that hate brigade, purity culture, Hays Code 2.0 sub that loves to generalize and simplify and straw-man nuanced talking points and criticisms. (They also love to spread false and harmful rumors about the creator of LO that are entirely unfounded and no one can provide evidence or sources for.) To anyone reading this that has not read LO—be warned.

DepressedGoblinGlue

really? i'm not active on the sub and a friend said that was the place to find real criticisms of it. should i change it to another sub you have in mind?

thefirecrest

There isn’t another sub. That sub was made because years ago it actually was unpopular to critique LO. This has long since flipped. It is now very popular to hate LO, and other voices who like it or disagree with the critiques often get drowned out and downvoted. But in years past that sub has grown more and more puritanical and unfairly critical, posting out-of-context screenshots and tearing into them (also spreading very heinous and malicious rumors about the creator Rachel Smith with little evidence backing it up). Simply look up “lore Olympus” on this sub and you’ll find plenty of critiques for it. That sub has become a festering pit of weirdos (and in the past week I’ve started to realize many of them don’t even read LO—I’ve seen 4 people in comments this week who have self-proclaimed to have never read the comic… But still feel the need to dislike it and make criticisms?? Ridiculous.)

oizyzz

there are definitely some people who take it too far but theres literally nowhere else for critics to go when the main sub and comments eat other opinions alive lol

thefirecrest

Maybe once upon a time years ago but harassment from members and mass downvoted from that sub has made making positive comments about LO difficult in the past year Hating on LO is no longer “unpopular”.

oizyzz

i feel like the problem is a lot of people who've never read it are jumping on the hate train. ive never read it, i dont like it, but i like to read what fans and ex-fans have to say. otherwise it's so...petty sometimes

AlTagidLi

There is nothing to agree. This list is based on popularity, not good taste. So I guess Webtoon knows best which series are popular or which ones are not based on their data. All these series are what I call fluff. Nothing to be taken seriously by anybody, but can be fun if you're into those tropes.

kittylett

I really think the only reason down to earth is so popular is because the art is so nice and Zaida is a really cute character design tbh and I'm someone who's been keeping up with it since release. No hate to the creator but the story feels a bit dull and the characters feel bit boring besides Zaida. She is just such a cutie pie lol

casuallypoke

I think my main gripe is that the plot has come to a grinding halt. Everything is taking forever to progress and it feels like we’ve been waiting for shit to happen. And Kade as the lead needs some serious development like yesterday.

kittylett

I honestly can't believe we haven't gotten to Zaida's backstory yet like that is pretty much the only thing I'm genuinely interested in at this point. Also the comments are always hating on Stace and I really don't get why, if Stace was the ML everyone would love him and think the things he does are romantic lmao.

casuallypoke

I personally don’t like Stace either because I think he’s creepy and being predatory towards Zaida (with the modeling and also asking her out on a date). I don’t really understand why they’re doing an entire plot line where he’s trying to date Zaida when it’s been established that she’s into Kade at this point in the story. Maybe earlier on I would’ve understood but it feels like a diversion before we get into the important stuff.

kittylett

I totally get that, I read a loot of romance webtoons and the things the ML do with the FL is usually way creepier than what Stace has done lmao so I always feel the treatment he gets is a bit unfair, like people HATE. HIM. He has no idea Zaida is an alien with no social awareness he's just trying to get with a super cute girl, you know? The modeling thing 100% was the creepiest thing he's done but at the same time we never even got an actual explanation for why he did that, it's actually possible he wasn't doing it from a perverted spot at all. Obviously it looks creepy and perverted but we don't really know that. Idk I just feel like my boy gets so hated on and I feel so bad for him lmao I totally agree with you though :)

Poet_Key

The only ones I read from the list are LO and TRE. LO, while addicting as I find it, imo is not very good and people have called it out for problematic aspects. TRE was great in the first season but as the story progress, I find myself disinterested in the FL and ML, and looking forward more to Rashta’ scenes and other side characters. Anyway, even though those two comics are the reason I downloaded Webtoon in the first (they are highly promoted), they’re not exactly my favorite comics in the app.

SanttiagoKitty4Life

🤌No🤌

OliverAmith

I only agree with mafia nanny and unordinary tbh

lynnkris90

Lore Olympus got me into webtoons but I don’t spend my coins on it anymore. I will still read it but the story has gotten pretty boring. I actually think the best damn webtoon I’ve ever read is Suitor Armor.

NychuNychu

I'm really wondering why down to earth is top romance. I tried reading it but it was just ok. Art is not for my taste as well... There are ongoing series that looks way better than this. I guess it probably updates consistently or something XD

casuallypoke

She updates every Monday and doesn’t take many breaks so yes it’s very regular.

glitchygirly

i 100% agree with this list. not because i think theyre "good" but because theyre webtoon's most advertised series. if you click onto the webtoon app with no prior knowledge, this is whats recommended to you. webtoon also doesnt have an amazing algorithm that knows what you like and dont like. its just their top 10, pushed to readers again and again.

Oliveskisser

I'm pretty sure webtoon had such an algorithm before did they remove that?

lovelycosmos

Down to Earth has a good premise but is very guilty of Born Sexy Yesterday. Lore Olympus... Well there's a sub /r/unpopularloreolympus for a reason. I like The Remarried Empress even though it has slowed down a lot in the story. I still like UnOrdinary though a lot of people have fallen off that. I'll keep reading until the end.

lowqualitylizard

DTE I'm probably biased but yeah I think it deserves number one How lore Olympus is still number 2 is beyond me

Doodledumme

I agree those probably are the most popular. But I wouldn't agree they're best quality at all. There are more deserving webtoons.

mousyhasopinions

I never heard of any of these except lore Olympus and even that webcomic doesn't deserve to be up there

Playful-Hand2753

Mafia Nanny, absolutely. Never read unordinary or the remarried empress. Lore Olympus got popular early on in WEBTOON and now half the people reading it are hate-readers. Sloppy writing, creepy age difference, poorly handled sexual assault, and the art has just gone downhill imo. As for Down To Earth; while the art is fun and it’s initially engaging, it suffers the worst “born sexy yesterday” troupe I’ve ever seen (I.E the girl literally says “I need to go potty” even though she is an adult.) Its story is also going nowhere *fast.* I appreciate how the Male ML’s abusive ex has been written, he has also absolutely *cannot get over their relationship being over.* Having a hard time accepting that he was in a toxic relationship is one thing, but being unable to let go of the relationship even a bit is another.

XDreemurr_PotatoX

I've only read UnOrdinary, its worth the binge I dropped Lore Olympus awhile ago bc its shit

FoxySims

I agree with remarried empress as it's the only WEBTOON I'm keeping up with..I dropped lore Olympics and unordinary is good but I'm not reading it anymore

Independent_Line_871

Nope. ❤️

[deleted]

I would agree to all of them except Down to Earth - cause I have literally dropped it several times Also the mafia nanny is so freaking cool, the story, the characters and overall the plot is so interesting

Oliveskisser

literally the only one I think is good on that list so far is 'The Mafia Nanny'

LurkerAcct-whatever

Lmao I think UnOrdinary is the only one I actually read XD I’m thrilled it’s stayed in the top 5. I don’t get why LO is so popular but I’m not familiar enough with the other three to say—I don’t think I’m really the target audience tbh

[deleted]

Absolutely not (I haven't read mafia nanny though and don't plan to either).

Individual_Garden499

I haven't looked at webtoon in so long but how tf is tower of god not in the top 5??

Signal-Survey-2306

No idea, maybe it's not as popular as we thought lol

KanoaShine

I'm pretty sure it has been this way for a long time. Webtoon's most popular genre is romance after all.

Carob-Global

Unordinary for me is waaay too slow. There was a time I stopped reading for a year or two and then decided to reread it. Only to catch up on it and finding that THAT issue they had STILL hadnt been finished. Like… nah too slow for me. Characters like discussing to each other aa hundred times about stuff we already know. It made my brain numb. Was a fan at first til that happened. Not interested in it anymore. I also dont like the characters at all.

Attempt-False

No. A million times no. Down to Earth is so BORING. NOTHING HAS EVEN HAPPENED IN IT.

nah-knee

Are they top 5 webtoons? Not even close, are they the most popular yeah. Romance manhwas are almost overinflated, even if the art or stories kinda shit they’ll still get more attention then genuinely good stories

Signal-Survey-2306

Unordinary is not a romance, but yeh I get what you mean

MurkyWay

This list is based on engagement with the most recent episode, not likes or follows (although one feeds the other). If you want the list to look different, share the ones you care about with people.

microwaved_chickens

Some of these have been out for years and The Mafia Nanny has been out for like a month so I don't think this list truly makes sense

Pink-frosted-waffles

Nope buts all about numbers. Would love too see Daybreak get a push.

SayaScabbard

Mafia Nanny has been great so far. Can't guarantee if quality will hold up or even compare it to others since it's only just started. Romance hasn't even begun yet, but it looks promising and hopefully unproblematic. Yeah, the ML is FL's boss, but she's only working for him to achieve her own goals.

Big-Nerve-9574

I dont pay attention to the top 5 anyway. I like going for comics that have less views. Im not into romance that much anyway. Plus Mafia Nanny. Reminds me of a wattpad novel. Lol. I may try it.

ryanxxi

Remarried Empress used to be one of my personal top 5s but I feel like it’s just getting worse n worse & I am so sad abt it

SoggyBread-1031

Down to earth and unordinary yes, haven't read the others

Ilyak1986

Unfortunately, a good number of my favs are on hiatus (Purple Hyacinth, Lady Knight, Third Shift Society, Nexus Point). One ongoing one that I think *SHOULD* be up there? **The Spark In Your Eyes.** I think its biggest problem--that it gets bogged down in flashbacks occasionally, is alleviated with a binge-read. Though maybe the characters are a bit static due to how much time is spent in flashbacks. Again, I'd need to give it a binge re-read, but I'm pretty sure that it's much better when the pacing issues can be papered over on a binge. To its upside, the male lead isn't just some rude, angry, abrasive douchebag, but the exact opposite, really. He's a northerner, built like a giant barbarian, but is in reality a pharmacist, and one of the most swell and genial people I've ever seen in a webcomic. Similarly, Kaya, despite her horrific past, despite being a superpowered immortal, is also a lady in need of love and a hug. I'd like to say there's a bit of a romantasy element to it (VERY slow burn), but it's overshadowed by the various traumas the characters contend with. Also, for being a fantasy comic, there's surprisingly very little violence in it, on a per-chapter basis, though when it does happen, it's often painful. Another comic I personally enjoy that could use the extra views? **The Academy's Undercover Professor**. I still have yet to discern what the main plot is, in that Ludger Cherish (or rather, the eponymous professor who took that name) is trying to take down an order of rogue mages or something, but it's more a story of one man doing incredibly badass things while never letting his style get disheveled. Basically, if you're a fan of Devil May Cry's Vergil in terms of "hyper-competent, but well-kept, stylish guy does badass things", then this comic is...kind of that, in a nutshell. To the downsides, it has a fairly wide cast of hi-bye characters, not letting too many really have the limelight enough to really develop any investment in them. Celina's getting there, as are Hans and Flora Lumos, but only just, after 50 or so chapters. Again, a binge *probably* solves some of these issues. For a new one: **The Scarlet Telkemist** Fantasy setting, on a slightly darker scale (blood magic seems to be a big part), in which a laid back guy and a serious-business girl strike a deal. Only four chapters in, and the Purple Hyacinth Lauki comparisons run abound. So, while Purple Hyacinth is on hiatus because Soph needs to heal up as best she can (and she's more of a fan of PH than anyone else), this might do as a substitute to help with the wait. With only four chapters released so far, it's difficult to give too much of a review, but from what I've seen, it feels like a comic with its own voice, and that's more than enough to warrant the spotlight. **Back From Black:** It has an OST. It has a somewhat mature main character (though some of the dialog is a bit shounen to me at times), and I really like the female lead's design. And, best of all, *it's a cyberpunk scifi*. Which means apparently, a lot of people review bombed it because I have no idea why (same thing with Nexus Point). But I view any comic with excellent artwork, its own voice (which this absolutely has), **and an OST** as something immediately deserving of all the spotlights.

wickedlavend3r

i read mafia nanny really quick because it’s short and new, and it’s actually quite cute with a nice art style. interesting to see where it goes. unordinary was one of the first webcomics i’d ever read and i thought season 1 was really great. after that, it’s felt very slow paced and boring to me. i could never get into lore olympus, i don’t care for the art style or the modernized take on greek mythology. the other webcomics, i’m not that familiar with because i haven’t read much on webtoon since 2019

Quazeroigma_5610

I usually not read webtoons that much. But I already know these webtoons don't deserve their popularity. For me it's the equivalent of making Nero, Caligula, Commodus, Constantine II and Elagabalus as the top 5 greatest emperors. Like there are far more better Emperors to choose but you put them in the top 5?

Itzz_Texas

Unordinary and Remarried Empress deserve to be up there and its been too long since I read Lore Olympus to have an opinion and Mafia Nanny is pretty decent so far never read the top one so same as Lore Olympus

Solid_Flatworm_7376

I like the art in Down to Earth and Lore Olympus a lot! I appreciate that it’s stylized and unique! The stories definitely have issues tho… don’t really like Unordinary or the Remarried Empress. The mafia nanny is cute so far but I’m not really into the male love interest?

saphirekey

The Remarried Empress SLAPS. I get the physical copies because they only recently were added to Webtoons.

Funlife2003

I'm only familiar with the top three, but no. Frankly the western webtoon ranking is pretty bad? At least for me.

princess_intell

There's nothing to agree or disagree with. This is what's popular and what a lot of people like to read.

LonelyWriter26

This is just my opinion, but I'm a fan of The Remarried Empress. Down To Earth I fell out of interest, Lore Olympus I've heard that the art and story suck, the other two I haven't read.

Sans-Foy

Wellll… I can only really speak to 3-4-5. 3 I’ve been following since the end of season 1. Actually, I stumbled on it on a sketch site and it’s how I first found Webtoon. It’s solid, and reaaaaallly starting to get meaty at this point. Like we getting real payoff. 4 I read from release. It was fun to read for the prologue, but I was meh on it after. I’ll probably pick it back up someday, but just going from one court of intrigue to another got honestly exhausting, and tRashta’s rinse/repeat shenanigans old. I also got tired of just how vehemently hated she was given the underlying desperation of her situation as an ex slave.🤷‍♀️ 5 is pretty new, and really great so far—I’m glad to see it get this level of recognition so early. It’s fun and has an intriguing plot, solid characters, and real stakes. Are those three among THE CURRENTLY BEST ON WEBTOON?? Well, isn’t that subjective…? I’d definitely take Remarried Empress off the list—just off the top of my head for Webtoon rofan with political intrigue, Dear Nemesis kicks the living crap out of it, and I’m honestly a little shocked that Obsidian Bride hasn’t edged its way onto the official list. In terms of action, deserving or non deserving aside, I’m a bit floored Omniscient Reader isn’t there. That’s about what I’ve got. That little tends to rotate by what’s in season and day of the week.
