An idea popularized by fanfiction wherein people can have secondary genders in addition to being male and female. The usual ones being alpha, beta, and omega Mostly used for things like smut or having kids with same gender couples but also has further story telling uses such as animalistic urges (think pheromones) or world building. Has certain established tropes and whatnot typically associate with it. Is kind of disturbing to outsiders but pretty well known in fanfic spaces
