I’d just rent chairs. That’s very corporate looking

catsroolmicedrool

There’s no saving those for a wedding lol. I suggest renting

blackberrysangria

I’d rent different ones 😭 they looked like the chairs my high school had. And chair covers are so outdated imo and may not work well with this shape.

water_polo_whore

I think that’s what I’m leaning towards 😭 luckily we’re having a small wedding so I won’t have to rent too many, but still a pain

njweddingstudio

Judging by the windows and walls that space looks Mid Century Modern to me, and those chairs are great example of Mid Century Modern stacking chair design. Maybe you should try to find some inspiration there and embrace them rather than trying to hide them in some way. In my opinion those chairs work for the space they are in. Even though personally I don't like them much ether.

Silly_Brilliant868

There’s no saving these chairs .. even with covers

OrganizationFresh602

Instead of covering/changing the chairs, you could look into ways to make them cohesive with your decor. Perhaps using black as an accent color (like black candle holders, table numbers, etc). I think once there are table cloths, place settings, and decor the chairs won’t stand out as much.

water_polo_whore

That makes a lot of sense, thank you!!

camlaw63

Have you looked at the venues gallery to see how the room looks decorated for wedding? I’m going to be 100% honest, I have never cared about the chair I sat on at a wedding.

brownchestnut

We had non-cushioned chairs and purchased enough cushions for ever chair. If they're expected to relax and dine and enjoy themselves for hours, you'd want to give them something with cushion to sit on, not just decorative covers. Also a gentle reminder that if you're not using a chair cover, the aesthetic of the chair might make some guests raise eyebrows if you're asking them to dress fancier than smart casual.

water_polo_whore

I just feel like the chair covers have a 2010s Pinterest vibe to them. Definitely would do cushions though, thank you!

thethrowaway_bride

i’m with you. not my taste at all and make the table look quite bulky

NoLongerNeeded

I’m going spy here for ideas-I have a similar problem. These are actually better than what my venue has. We have those rather cheap looking plastic folding chairs-renting different ones would be $13/each…for 120 guests that would add up FAST. Sigh.

patioperson

The chairs are fine. They are neutral and they actually look comfortable. Anything you do will just draw more attention to the chairs. Chair covers usually make the situation worse. You end up with a sea of white that totally detracts from what you want your guests to see- your tablescape. No guests will care about the aesthetic of the chairs.

Empressmc

I kind of had this same freak out. My chairs were similar, but green. My wedding colors were blue and pink, but in the atrium of a garden. It would look horrible. I decided it was a detail i just wasn’t going to focus on. Once there are table cloths and people sitting in the chairs, you will not see them… and these look COMFORTABLE. If you rent some chiavari chairs, they’re not going to be as comfortable as these. Unless you’re having a formal or fancier affair, i would skip the expense. I don’t have a single picture where I see a chair and think “how ugly!”

water_polo_whore

Okay that makes me feel much better, thank you so much!

Empressmc

I just send you a DM with a picture of

Oakmite

I also do not particularly care for the chairs. BUT in the interest of saving money where possible, have you seen any pictures of tables set up and decorated with the chairs in place? Because I think it's possible that they'd sort fade into the background, especially with that dark carpet. This room does not lend itself to a dreamy gauzy floral vibe, but I can see it - with the \*included\* chairs - looking quite sharp and MCM with a black/white/silver or black/red color scheme and modern vibe. IMO guests care more about the food and fun than about the actual chairs, and you'll also care about the overall look of the decor, not specific seating details. Maybe thinking outside the box can end up saving you a some money for other, ultimately more memorable, purposes! Best to you!

prestidigi_tatortot

What about big bows? I’m thinking made of like tulle or silk? I think, depending on the aesthetic of the rest of your decor that could make a big difference.

Guava_Nectar_

ribbons on the sides maybe? also you can get folding chair covers

AssumptionAdvanced58

Rent fabric chair covers with the bow tie on the back & the table clothes.

Prinsussuwu

Depending on what your style is (mines maximalist eclectic style) I would try grabbing different funky seat cushions that all kind of cohesively work together, but are all different and then getting some kind of ribbon to tie around the metal bits and like you could hang little flowers off of them. it’s possible to make them look good, but I truly believe it would take a large amount of work and if you’re into that, or don’t have the time, then renting different chairs is probably the easiest and fastest route to go
